"So… how's your date with your girl?" Colet asked, a teasing grin on her face as soon as I stepped into our quarters.
I smirked, dropping into a chair. "Well, I can say... it was perfect."
Colet raised an eyebrow. "Perfect, huh? In which level of 'perfect' are we talking here? Like... casual fun or something deeper?"
I chuckled. "Casual fun. For now, she's still pretty guarded, but I'm working on it. One step at a time, you know?"
Colet leaned back, crossing her arms. "You sound like a woman on a mission. Is she even aware of the fact you're practically courting her?"
I shrugged nonchalantly. "I think she suspects, but I'm not rushing anything. Scarlet's different. She's been through a lot, and honestly, I enjoy just being there for her. If it becomes something more, great. If not... well, I've got time."
Colet grinned, clearly entertained by my situation. "You've got it bad, huh?"
