"What?!" I roared, my voice echoing through the room like thunder. I slapped the whiskey bottle off the table with such a swift motion, and it shattered into a million pieces on the floor.

None of us looked at the scattered shards, our eyes remained locked with a brewing tension between us.

"You heard me, son. We have found you a luna!" He repeated with even more enthusiasm.

"Why did you do that?" I demanded, my words dripping with venom. "Why— oh no!" I placed my hands on my head as if trying to hold myself together, and then I pulled at my hair in frustration.

For the first time, his eyes flickered with confusion, and he tried to reach me. "It is what you need, Damien. You only have—"

"Who gave you the right?" I spat, my gaze burning with fury. "You dared to decide for me, are you Damien Black?"

"But it was only for—" He tried to explain but I didn't let him.
