"Sheena, have you heard of that?" Sheena's good friend Elsa Hill whispered in the ear of Sheena, trying to not get any attention of the teacher on the podium.
"What?" Sheena looked up at Elsa, they were in the same class and also had joint the Jazz club together. Too immersed in the book, so Sheena didn't catch up what Elsa said.
Elsa rolled her eyes at Sheena and pointed at her forehead straightly, "Couldn't you just leave your book just for a second?"
Hearing that, Sheena smiled, knowing Elsa was not complaining her absence of mind but worried about her spirit. "Don't just chase after the scholarship! Marrying to a right man is better than winning the scholarship every semester." With sincerity in eyes, Elsa was staring quite straight at Sheena.
Sheena shrugged her shoulders and didn't answer or rejected. But Elsa knew exactly that, Sheena didn't take her words into heart at all, she was so stubborn that she had care about nothing but scholarship in the whole university.
"Why are you so obsessed with studying? Don't you every have any crush on someone somewhere? Can't you just find someone in the university to experience what love feels like?" Elsa crossed her hands right in front of her face and looking up with a face of obsession. "Just imagine, there is a Prince Charming coming straightforward to you, to help you out of trouble and give you whatever you want, no matter how you look like and what characteristics you have..."
Looking at the sparkling eyes of Elsa, Sheena shook her head slightly. "No one would appear just as you imagine, there will be trouble or difficulties that you have to face yourself even though you have a life companion."
"Why are you so pessimistic in the love relationship?" Elsa just couldn't understand what Sheena said but she stopped trying to convince Sheena, because she knew that she was not the one that could persuade her.
"Forgot to tell you, your article has been published on the newspaper of our college." This news seemed to just occur to Elsa and she announced with happiness as if it were her article being published. Her loud voice successfully raised attention from the classmates although the whole classroom was full of noise and gossips at that moment.
"Yeah, I heard that too. Amazing Sheena." The boy sitting behind Elsa turned around and agreed with a strange smile, "didn't expect silent girl like you would be outstanding like that."
"She is just pretending to be low-keyed, but she was always standing right on top of the mountain of fame." Chris Miller who was good at makeup at most in the class said with jealousness.
Sheena looked straight at her, who got a blushed face for embarrassment even though her makeup was so thick.
"I just chose to focus more on the academic, not like you, who intend to spend every minute in making up or dressing up." Sheena talked frankly, without noticing Chris's clasped hands.
"Sheena." Elsa pulled her hand and stopped her. Knowing that Chris had a gang of followers in the class that Elsa didn't want Sheena to get trapped in any troubles.
With boldness in eyes, Sheena didn't tend to hide her mocking. Since Chris paid no respect to her, she didn't plan to be hurt as a weak girl. So Sheena shook her head and turned to Elsa, claiming that "I fear of nothing but my failure in study, so no matter who you're, don't ever try to set me up just for his or her weakness or jealousness." After saying that, Sheena looked straight at Chris, who was embarrassed for losing face in front of the whole class.
The rest of classmates didn't say a word but witnessed the whole drama playing right in front of them.
Except one boy who looked so careless.
"Wow, Sheena, it's heard that you win the scholarships again, are you a woman of examination? Why are you winning always?" The man saying this was nobody but Stephan Korade.
Sheena just didn't understand, why Stephan left so soon but came to the class so late. He just walked into the classroom by ignoring the anger of the teacher who was quite pissed off his interruption.
"Please don't make me remind you all the donation of Bee Group..." just by a sentence, Stephan successfully made everyone returned back to the calm faces as if they didn't see he coming late for the class.
"Behave well next time." The teacher called back his dignity by saying this, but everyone noticed his shivering feet. As a common teacher with no background, he couldn't behave what he desired always. Sometimes everyone had to bend down for something, and such thing could be wealth, or identity, or social status. Obviously, this time it's for wealth.
Noticing this, Stephan laughed and sat down in the empty chair beside Sheena.
With bigger eyes staring at Stephan, Sheena was trying to threaten him not to sit beside her. However, Stephan seemed to just ignore her face expression by smiling sweet to Sheena.
Seeing that kind of smile, Sheena could feel the sharp and cold glances from the girls in the classroom.
"No, please sit away." Sheena tried to lower down her voice and didn't want to be heard by anyone.
"Pardon?" Stephan acted like a deaf and sat closer to Sheena, "what's the matter?" just ignoring Sheena's back straightened so suddenly.
"Don't. Please." Sheena hardened her voice and stood up right away.
Right at this moment, Sheena couldn't care the widened eyes of Elsa but just stayed away from Stephan as far as she could. Compared with shocking Elsa with her action, Sheena chose to not stand right opposite with the girls in the classroom.
Sheena knew from the news of Elsa that, the majority of the girls in their class had a crush on Stephan since the very beginning of the university. Every girl would spend all they had to get a night with Stephan.
However, Sheena could find nothing good from Stephan except his face, which could fool every woman just by a glance. Even Sheena sometimes couldn't help losing herself in staring at his face.
"Look at yourself, are you really sure that you want me to sit away." with a little curve in his mouth, Stephan caught sight of Sheena's obsession even though it just lasted for a second.
"Screw you." Sheena got down to earth immediately and looked around, gaining nothing but jealousness in the eyes of girls. "Don't force me to regret the decision I made, I could lose that certificate but you couldn't."
Sheena knew exactly what Stephan cared. He was so relying on the capital of his family that he wouldn't be able to afford the cost of losing the marriage certificate with her.
As expected, originally Stephan was trying to tease Sheena, but when he heard the words of Sheena, his face turned pale and he stood up immediately.
"Fine, you won." Signed slightly, Stephan was helpless for Sheena's reaction. In fact, he didn't expect a girl in the class would hate him so much as Sheena did. It isn't that every girl in the class claiming him as the Prince Charming? All brothers in the dormitory had this saying from the very beginning. "You're a strange girl!" Stephan complained.
"Not stranger than you." Sheena stuck her tongue out at Stephan and didn't care his comments at all. "It's better for us to be strangers as before."
"You..." Stephan felt a little frustrated, for no girl had ever dislike him like this. With such an outstanding face and body shape, Stephan didn't understand the reaction of Sheena.
Different from the conflict of Stephan, Sheena was quite released for the leaving of Stephan. As long as he stayed away from her, she could accept all inputs of Stephan.
"Hey, when were you so familiar with each other that you could whisper to each other like just now?" Elsa narrowed her eyes and tried to figure out something from Sheena.
Replying with a claptrap smile, Sheena tried to convince Elsa not to think wild. "We knew nothing about each other, he just inquired me something about the scholarships."
"Really? Is that a joke? How could a playboy learning nothing but entertainment would care about the scholarship?! So strange!" Elsa didn't buy what Sheena said.
Sheena nodded her head as a kind of agreement, "Yeah, I felt strange, too, so I confessed my feeling also and he expressed to understand my confusion. However, he didn't answer me."
Maybe Elsa had heard the word "strange", so she believed in what Sheena explained and shrugged her shoulders, "such a strange playboy, please stay away from him."
Hearing this advice, Sheena couldn't agree more but nodded her head continuously. "Of course, I will definitely stay away from him as far as I could." As long as out of my house, I would keep the distance with him. Sheena answered in her heart.
