In the very vast expanse of space, there is one lonely entity drifting between the star systems. It is too small to be a multi-crew space ship. It is as small as a garage. Or is it just a normal garage flying in space? There... a person in space suit sitting with a smug.
"Ha... those fools left on earth will be crying if they know about me. Not because they miss me or anything. They expelled me immediately from the university because they thought my idea of space travel was braindead absurd. All I needed to do was to place a random object just like this pieces of wires at the right time and right place and then the reality will be glitched out and send me flying further away from earth.
Not only it broke the law of physics and make my whole garage capable of space faring, but I can also sit here with gravity and breath normally like I was on earth. Of course I'm still wearing protective suit in case but did I say I didn't bring any extra technology? Absolutely not... The people at university didn't even hesistate when they kicked me out. They didn't even wait to see my next invention."
He approached the mysterious figure completely covered in a big cloth. He then removed the cloth and revealed a machinery similar to a steam engine with a small lever next to it, connected to the entire room. Unlike a steam engine, the machine was coated in white aluminium layer with blue glowing lines near the edges.
"Behold!.. CLEVOR 9000! The warp speed device that will boost the acceleration of any spaceship by more than a hundred folds. Man... I wish I could go back to earth quickly and earn the noble prize already. This thing will make me trillion. But now, but now... it's not that time yet. I will test it right here to see its limit... or is there a limit at all. Let's do this!!!"
He pulled the lever and it began to shake. Not just the device, but the whole garage. It is shaking so much that everything became blurry including the person himself.
"You know... I should have tested the warp device before launching myself to space. But that mean losing the CLEVOR 9000 in the process. Also... I need to stop talking to mysel- WOAHHHHH....!!!!!!!!"
All visible objects distorted with not only affecting the whole garage, the stars lengthened and participated in paving the road to one direction... Forward.
