Suddenly, the ground shook. It wasn't more than a few second then stopped.
"That was a close call."
"What happened?"
"The earth stopped spinning for seconds."
"My god... does that happen often in future?"
"Don't worry, it's super rare. It only happen once in a hundred or even a thousand year. The hamsters are well trained."
"Hamster?"
"Yeah, they are responsible for spinning earth core and other planets as well. Do you want to see it?"
"Absolutely."
Jetson teleported them a massive lab which Steven assumed was a testing ground for hamsters. The hamsters were contained inĀ glass boxes with their own spinning wheels and living space each.
"This is where they raise and train the hamsters for their service in the earth centre."
"Where are the people?"
"This was the closing day so there isn't anyone. To be honest, this is not legal that I even brought you here. I would get my monthly salary bonus cut off if I'm not careful."
"Yeah yeah yeah... who cares? Anyway how do these tiny hamsters enough to spin the earth. How did they even get that idea?"
"At the end of 599th century and the start of 600th century, first of January, a third world ending event happened. Our planet suddenly stopped spinning and it was really mood breaking. The strong and violent ocean waves from the sudden planetary inertia destroy the internet cables and caused many conservatives above the exosphere upset. That day was supposed to be the final football match in history before everyone moved on for new kind of sport. That day was supposed to be memorable but that didn't happen.
On the next day and another days, planets like jupiter, saturn and mars stopped spinning and more and more people living there also complained. Planets across the solar systems, planets across galaxies and planets across the universe stopped spinning in no time. To solve this issue, they bred crap tons of hamsters.
And for why they had that idea... come on let's be honest, what are they even useful for aside from pet equivalent of decorations. So the governments put them in the planet cores and make them run. When they rotate the planets, they don't run alone. Everytime one runs, the other or the others can rest. You only need less than ten hamster to move the planet but to make sure none of them rest all at once, they had to put at least one hundred."
"Why are the hamster that strong to move the planet with little quantity. Did the outside help involved?"
"Oh that... that's when they discovered the true purpose and potential of hamsters. They were always fated to spin the world."
