Thor, sitting nearby, spoke up. "Loki, my brother, is a master of illusions and trickery. He can create duplicates of himself, manipulate minds, and wield powerful magic. His silver tongue is as dangerous as his magic—he can talk his way into or out of nearly anything."
Dave nodded thoughtfully. "So, mind control, illusions, and magic. That's a dangerous combination, especially in the wrong hands," he said. "So, I will take him on"
"You are powerful enough to defeat him," Thor nodded, his confidence evident.
Captain America stood tall and added, "Now that everyone's introduced themselves, let me share mine. Steve Rogers, a super soldier. I'm just ten times better than any normal human," he said with a small smile, to which everyone nodded in acknowledgment.
Tony Stark leaned back in his chair, a sly grin forming. "Hmm, I also have another guy I want to invite to this party. Wanna meet him?"
Maria Hill raised an eyebrow, curious. "Who is he?" she asked.
"Colonel Rhodes," Tony replied casually. Maria quickly pulled out her tablet, typing rapidly before showing an image of Rhodes on the screen. "This guy?" she asked, glancing at Tony.
Tony leaned forward, nodding. "Yep, that's him."
Maria nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, I'll send an invitation and see if he can join us," she said, continuing to type on her device. "What's his power set?" she asked, looking up.
"Hmm, he can control water and has decaying powers," Tony said, and Maria nodded thoughtfully.
"Does anyone else have another super guy to add to the team?" Maria Hill asked, glancing around.
Bruce raised his hand, catching her attention.
"Who is it?" Maria asked, ready to add another name to her list.
Bruce smirked slightly. "Oh, I don't have a guy. I was just wondering if you've got any wine," he said casually.
Maria sighed, shaking her head but smirking as well. "I'll arrange for some," she said, calling for someone to deliver wine.
"Get me some too," Tony chimed in, leaning back in his seat.
After some time, everyone was munching on snacks or sipping drinks—everyone except Captain America and Hawkeye, who watched the scene with gobsmacked expression. They couldn't help but think about how odd it was to face a world-ending threat while the rest of the team seemed so relaxed.
Unbeknownst to them, the group had faced much more dangerous battles in the One Piece world. Compared to that, an alien army seemed like just another warm-up.
Dave sat back, chatting casually with Tony about their past experiences, while others engaged in small talk. As they enjoyed the moment of reprieve, Thor took a hearty swig of his drink, looking genuinely impressed when he saw Tony and Emma casually demonstrating their powers.
"You Midgardians are more impressive than I first thought," Thor said with a grin. "It seems Earth holds many powerful warriors."
Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s internal surveillance system detected some unusual signals, likely related to alien activities. Maria Hill quietly observed the readings, frowning at the screen. The team might have appeared relaxed, but she knew Fury wouldn't let his guard down.
"Fury, wake up; you're missing all the action," Maria muttered, shaking her head as she mumbled to herself.
Days passed as the team grew more familiar with one another, mingling, sparring, and showcasing their unique powers to pass the time. Pepper, Bruce, and Tony worked tirelessly on machines and algorithms to locate Loki and the Tesseract. The atmosphere was a mix of lightheartedness and anticipation.
Thor was repeatedly astonished as he sparred with Emma, Tony, Trish, and later Rhodes, who joined the group. The sheer variety of powers and skills on Earth left him wondering if Loki was foolish for choosing to pick a fight with Midgardians.
"Midgard has grown far stronger than I ever imagined," Thor muttered after a particularly impressive demonstration by Trish, who effortlessly combined her demonic powers with lightning strikes. For a moment, he questioned whether his brother fully understood the forces he was up against.
Meanwhile, within S.H.I.E.L.D., and the hidden Hydra agents kept looking at the team. Both groups—the official agency and the secret faction—were stunned as they observed the team's power. It was clear these individuals had been living in plain sight, yet their true capabilities had remained unnoticed. Hydra agents, in particular, scrambled to reassess their plans, realizing that these heroes posed a threat far greater than they had anticipated.
"The world's gotten a whole lot weirder," Captain America muttered, leaning back as he watched a friendly duel between Tony and Dave.
"Buddy, you're telling me," Hawkeye replied, shaking his head. "I'm seeing most of this for the first time too."
Despite the casual tone, both men knew they were witnessing something extraordinary. The powers they saw in past days was enough to subvert theri view.
This continued until one day when Maria Hill suddenly announced, "We've spotted Loki!"
The alert sent the team into motion. Tony immediately jumped into his suit, quipping, "I'll be going ahead," before flying off at sonic speed. In moments, he was zooming toward Stuttgart, Germany.
"I'm here," Dave said calmly as he waved his hand, opening a portal for the rest of the team to follow.
"Never thought my first trip to Germany would be like this," Diana muttered, shaking her head as she stepped through the portal, taking in the scene around them.
"So, this is where he is?" Dave asked, glancing at Captain America, who nodded while adjusting his gear and gripping his shield.
"Who's going to capture him?" Dave inquired as Tony's voice rang through their comms. "I came first, so he's mine!"
Pepper, hearing this over the comms, raised an eyebrow. "What are you, a kid? First come, first served?"
"Early bird catches the worm," Tony replied smugly, already surveying the chaos Loki had begun in Stuttgart.
The team arrived to see the mayhem Loki had caused. Civilians were panicked, and vehicles were scattered across the streets. Loki, in his usual theatrical fashion, stood at the center of the chaos, commanding people to kneel as he delivered his speech about domination.
