"Evelyn..."
Adam felt the name roll off his tongue as easily as his own. Such a beautiful name fit perfectly with such a beautiful celestial body. Although Evelyn's main body did not have any living creatures, she did not need them. Adam would honestly prefer her to remain the pristine jewel that she is, his precious companion. But he knew that such selfish desires would not be good for Evelyn.
{[Name: Evelyn Terra (Moon)]
[Race: Anima Mundi]
[Titles: Matriarch of the Anima Mundi]
[Body: Nascent World]
[Core: Nascent World]
[Will: Epsilon-1]}
Indeed, Evelyn was no longer a satellite. She was now a nascent world, newly born and created by Adam himself.
Seeing the status of Evelyn made him calm down a lot. It was as though he was no longer being overwhelmed by that intense lust, but he knew it was only temporary. Evelyn was still in a dormant state and will require time and resources to eventually be like him.
At the moment, she does not even have enough power to wield a gravitational field larger than her original. At most, she could affect some asteroids wandering in the nearby areas, slowly creating her own miniature asteroid belt around herself.
Adam felt it was a natural phenomenon, but also not without a deliberate intent on Evelyn's part regardless of whether she had enough sentience to understand what she just did. What surprised Adam, however, was the title given to Evelyn.
[Matriarch of the Anima Mundi: Born from the fervent desire of the Progenitor, you are now the mother of your race. You share in the burden of responsibility of spreading your legacy while also having your own path in the Universe.]
Adam felt that the Universe was toying with him. If he understood the system's words correctly, then it was basically telling Evelyn that she did not need to be the Matriarch of the Anima Mundi. She could abandon Adam and any future prospects of their race and forge her own path.
Worse yet, she could even possibly betray Adam and become the new Progenitor. Adam did not like his thoughts, however they already settled in his mind and would thus be an existing possibility. But he really did not want to fall to the same mistakes as the puny humans living on his main body.
The Moon has been ancient and lifelong companion of Earth. Even though Adam's reasons for turning the Moon into a living planet was mostly due to the overwhelming lust, he also sincerely wanted Evelyn to be his companion in his travels as well. Not once did he ever think of turning her into a breeding sow.
Perhaps he was also somewhat influenced by the human's mythologies. After all, he did take the name of the 'first man' on a whim. Even Evelyn's identity was influenced by his subconscious Will as she was named after Eve.
All this to say that he honestly did not care if she wanted to abandon their new race. He did not even care if she wanted to take the title of Progenitor from him. He just hoped that she would not resort to stabbing him in the back when they could just talk about it.
In the first place, although spreading the legacy of the Anima Mundi was nice, it was more of a side project for Adam. His main priority was still to grow stronger and intercept any possible apocalypses coming for him. Of course, it was another matter entirely whether he could just pass on his title as Progenitor as easily as lending someone a book. But it definitely would not hurt to try.
Adam wanted his race to be different from the humans. He could already tell from just his first experience of creating another Anima Mundi that it was incredibly difficult for their race to grow in number.
The main reason for this is likely because they were literally planets. Just what kind of disaster would it spell for the Universe if an entire race of living planets decided that it was time for conquest? Even Adam shuddered at the thought.
So rather than being a tyrant, Adam wanted his race to be a genuine family. He wanted to show them care and form an unbreakable bond that would last no matter the apocalypses they were threatened with. And to that end, Adam looked to the distant stars. It was time for him to truly begin his journey. He would devour some worlds and bring back more as gifts for his beautiful wife.
"I'll be back Evelyn. I'll bring plenty of food so you can grow. Just wait for me."
