Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1:Prolouge

"Die, all of you," a man in the crowd said. The flames on their torches danced in a fiery tune as the villagers shouted curses at the two. "Bring the boy!" they said indignantly, "and then maybe we will think of sparing pathetic scums like you!"

"I didn't do it," a boy cried amidst sobs, "I swear! I didn't mom tell them to go away, I'm scared."

"Don't worry it'll be alright, my sweet child" a melodious voice sounded, "I will always be with you."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

`Well that was a lie' William thought to himself as he snapped out of the gruesome memory.

It had been ten years since the incident and he'd rather not be reminded of it. He despised himself whenever the memories that seemed more like visions came to him. BADBOYSICKBOY these words repeated themselves in his psyche as a sort of mantra.

"God dammit William three times in a single lesson what the hell is the matter with you!" the teacher said seething with rage, "Sorry sir I promise it won't happen again," he said apologetically, "I hope, and by the way what's the matter, you know it wouldn't hurt to pass by the guidance and counseling office to get whatever the matter is of your system for once and for all."

"No worries sir, I'm okay," he said flashing a bright smile."Whatever." the teacher said dismissively as he continued with the lesson.

The bell for break rang shortly afterward. Willam's most difficult session to pass.

"Will today I brought cupcakes wanna try them out with me," one girl said, "Hey I was here first you disgusting leech oh hi darling I brought cookies let's go eat together" another said, and soon enough a crowd of girls had surrounded him all trying their hardest to get his attention this was enough to get a few indignant stares from other boys. It always irked them how William got flocked by the ladies what did he have that they didn't?

He smiled weakly at the girls making their hearts flutter then said, "Sorry girls, I carried some food maybe next time,"

"Did you all just hear that he said he'll have a meal with me next time," one of them said

"You're either dumb, deaf, or just plain out stupid he's referring to me," another said. An argument ensued shortly after. William as usual shamelessly used the commotion to get away from the scene.

The day flew past as William was still dazed, the incident had been nagging him more than usual recently. Floodgates of memories better left behind disturbed him to no end. He had a bad feeling in his gut,' Something big is about to happen' he thought.

As the bell for the last lesson rang, William remained seated as others began packing up.

"Bye William," a few girls said as they left. They had all gotten used to him staying back to study a bit more. At least that's what they thought made him stay back. William looked outside the window as cars drove out of the school.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The boy is a curse to us all and should be killed he is the reason for all this, bring him to us now," the villagers persisted. His mother tried to talk peacefully in a civilised manner to them only for her pleas to land on deaf ears. The villagers had made their decision and there was no turning back. There was no room for a debate the evidence was just too strong to be ignored by them. No matter how hard they tried to find innocence in the little boy they all thought of the scene that had occurred.

It just had to be done, the villagers condoned their barbaric behavior with those words.

"Enough talking woman," a man with bloodshot eyes said," If you won't bring the boy well just have to get him ourselves," the man then began charging towards the woman blocking the boy with a pitchfork firmly within his arms expecting the woman to move out of the way.

She did not. The man's weapon drove deep into the poor woman's chest."Mom, Mom please talk to me Mom please." the boy begs as his mother's body falls limply onto the ground, lifeless.

"NO, NO, NO, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING," the boy screams in rage.

"Hey kid it's about time you got out, wait are you crying?" the janitor asked him, whilst in his memory a teardrop had formed below his eyes. "No not really I just put some eye drops in," he said." Thanks anyway I'll be off now," he said as he stood up and started packing his stuff preparing to leave, "Bye".
