He stood up and walked down the stairs. Most had left the bar, but the same lady was still there. As soon as she spotted him she went over to him. "Hello sir. Do you want to leave already?" She asked in a rush. "No, but you have a dead man upstairs and some explaining to do." She was shocked to hear about a man being dead. And so were the other people still at the bar.
Everyone stood up and instantly headed for the stairs. They wanted to see the body for themselves. Him and the lady soon followed the crowd. They all made it to the body, some of the patrons were disgusted, and some were sad. Him and the lady made their way to the front where she seemed to recognize him. "H-Henry!?" She shouted as she fell to the ground beside him. "Did you know him?" She looked up to him with tears rushing down her face. "He's my grandpa!" She yelled. It startled most of the crowd. And some of them even looked like they knew the man.
As the lady mourned over the old man's death, everyone else left. "Now, since everyone else is gone, you need to answer some of my questions." She gave him a glare. "I've just lost my grandpa, why do I have to answer you?" She snarled. "Well, if you want this bar shut down then, I guess you don't have to." She scoffed. "What do you have that can shut this down? Nothing." He turned his back on her and went to his room. Two gunshots then rang through the bar. Then he came out now wearing his coat again.
"What I have-" He said before lifting up the now dead rat. "Is a dead rat that carried a disease. SO, if you want I can just show this to the patrons, then you lose everything." She covered her mouth, probably because of the disease filled rat. "H-how are you holding that!?" She muffled out of her hand. "Because, I'm not stupid. This rat doesn't have a disease that can spread through air." She uncovered her face, and the look she had was a mix of astonishment and fear. "How do you know that?" She asked quietly. In truth, he didn't even know if that was right.
"Because I do. Anyway, this is probably why people have been dying in room three." She was silent for a moment, then spoke. "No, rats weren't the cause. Those people had cuts and whole limbs gone, this- I didn't even know about this." She stammered. That confused him. Not even the old man said that. And he seemed like he had told everything. But before he could ask more. The lady was shot. Someone behind him had shot her!
He quickly turned around, but to his horror, no one was there. He turned back to see that the woman was dismembered. Whoever, no, whatever this was it was fast and knew how to use a gun. He couldn't tell where it was, well until he heard the other people down at the bar screaming. He instantly rushed down the stairs. If he could catch it off guard maybe he could kill it. He did feel bad that he would have to use the patrons, but it was to hopefully save more lives. He made it to the main floor of the bar, and saw buckets of blood.
It jumped to one of the remaining people and he had a chance to see it. It was a man wolf hybrid. He had never known the name of it. He pulled out his gun and aimed at the creature. The beast turned around, a head in hand, and got shot in the arm. Dropping the head it went to hide. He shot it another 4 times, before running out of bullets.
The remaining people fled out of the bar, while he went after the beast. While chasing it he got shot in his side, then his shoulder. The beast was skilled with shooting. He pulled up his own revolver as it jumped behind the walls. Not knowing where it was he stayed cautious. He could hear its growls and scratching.
He waited and waited, eventually the growling stopped. And so did he. Another few moments went by, and then it pounced. It tried to jump on him, but he shot it right in the head, killing it before it could eat him. He pulled the body of the wolf back to the main area. Where the group he was now a part of was.
"Why are you here?" He asked in a sour tone. "We heard screams and gunshots. We came to see what was going on." They all looked at the beast he was holding. "A werewolf? Those things are…Nevermind." They looked around the place. "What a mess. Let's clean it." He was confused but before he could say anything the place turned spotless. "How?" They didn't answer his question. "We'll have some more people running this place soon." It seemed this group owned this bar.
He thought for a moment, maybe this was the right job for him. They seemed to like him. Sure he didn't fully trust them but it worked. And he seemed to be getting better at killing.
