Chapter 25 - Departure

The slap was so strong that all of Roderic's teeth flew out of his mouth.

Dizziness clouded his mind, accompanied by pain from his mouth and neck.

Blood from his gums even flowed into his throat, causing him to cough.

But he still forced himself to get up and walk away, trying to escape from the merciless Amon.

However, with his staggering steps, it was impossible.

He saw Amon casually walking toward him with a flaming sword in his hand.

A relaxed and satisfied smile was clearly visible on his face. But for Roderic, it was the cruel smile of a devil toying with human life. Especially with the burning palace in the background, it added to his terrifying image.

"Why don't you sit and relax for a bit before I kill you?"

"Why are you doing this to me?" Roderic said, grimacing in pain.

"Why, you ask? Actually, I'm not someone who likes making enemies. Even if you were someone I hated, I had no intention of becoming your enemy. But, you touched me first, even though I never wronged you. It's only natural that I get angry, right? After all, I'm a human with emotions. And you're still asking why?"

Amon spoke as if holding back anger, but his feet kept moving forward.

"Stop! Stop right there! Don't come any closer!"

"Why should I listen to you?"

"Alright, I'm sorry, please forgive me."

Roderic stumbled over his own feet before dragging his body across the floor.

"No, no, no, it's not that easy. I have a story. It's about a young man named Liam. He was very kind-hearted, and even when his enemy begged for mercy, he granted it out of compassion. But the enemy held a grudge afterward, ungrateful for Liam's mercy; that's why he killed Liam's parents."

"I would never do that, especially since our parents are the same!" Roderic screamed, hoping Amon would believe him.

In truth, they only had different mothers but shared the same father. Their father was Arthur Luerion, the current Patriarch of the Lucerion Clan.

"Why don't you understand the point I'm trying to make? What I mean is, I don't want the people I love to die because I showed mercy to my enemies."

"I swear I won't do it," Roderic said, desperately shaking his head as he saw Amon standing in front of him.

"That's nonsense."

The enemy in the story Amon told was none other than Roderic himself.

Just like in Miracle Cube, Roderic was also begging for mercy like this, disregarding his pride as a young master of the great Lucerion Clan.

That's why Amon was certain, if he spared Roderic, in the future, Roderic would definitely harm the people Amon loved.

'Right now, I don't have anyone I love. But I can't predict the future. Perhaps one day I might love Ariel or maybe another woman. That's why I will kill him. But I won't end it so easily.'

Amon immediately mutilated both of Roderic's legs with Karyuken, setting them ablaze.

"Arrrggghhh!!!"

The torture Amon inflicted was far from over. To ensure Roderic couldn't escape, he also mutilated both of his arms.

Roderic writhed in agony as the fire consumed him alive. If the flames weren't burning him, his tears would have been visible streaming down his body.

Amon's nose now caught not only the hot air and ash but also the smell of burning flesh.

Even though Roderic's mouth was wide open, screaming in relentless agony, Amon's mouth formed a satisfied smile at the result of his work.

"You're lucky, you know? I didn't really want to kill you right away. But if I let you live, our great clan would heal you. I don't want to take that risk."

Amon simply stood still, watching Roderic continue to scream and writhe in torment.

If only Roderic was an ordinary human, then he would already be dead. His power is now a double-edged sword.

Eventually, Amon pierced his brain and ended his suffering along with his life. Not out of pity, but because the air was thinning; even Amon had started coughing.

"It was probably a bad decision to bring him back in here."

Roderic stopped moving, but the fire continued to burn him until he turned to ash. He had never imagined that this would be his end. He had always dreamed of sleeping with thousands of beautiful women and standing at the pinnacle of the world. But it was just a dream, and not everyone in this world could achieve their dreams.

"With this, there should be no thousands of women tortured and raped by Roderic," Amon said as if he were a saint while walking out of the palace.

The next day, Amon was visited by the Blade Guard Order at the hotel he rented.

This was a security organization established to enforce the clan's rules.

Amon answered honestly. After all, he wouldn't be imprisoned or punished. Internal conflicts among the younger generation were always heated, driven by the struggle for power. Murder or fighting wasn't forbidden.

Afterward, he summoned his thirty servants to his hotel room.

He instructed them to go home for the time being. His palace had burned to ashes by Karyuken's fire, so there was no place for him or his servants.

Like ordinary workers, they were happy to get a break.

After that, Amon began preparing to head to the Arcilla Kingdom. He wanted to depart early due to this incident. Clothing, accessories, power banks or chargers, medicines, toiletries, frozen foods—he bought all of these. He also didn't forget to go to the bank to withdraw money.

Amon then went to the teleportation station.

As usual, the place was quiet.

Due to the expensive cost of using teleportation, only the rich typically came here.

The price was equivalent to, or even more expensive than, renting a private jet on Earth.

But Amon was a Starheir; he was free to use these facilities.

When the receptionist saw the ring on Amon's right middle finger, she immediately bowed respectfully before guiding him to a teleportation circle.

Just like during the Maturation Ceremony, the circle lit up. But this time, Amon was teleported to Erretis Realm.

The Mortal World was divided into countless realms whose numbers were still uncertain.

Each realm was separated by a transparent barrier in the sea.

Each realm had its own uniqueness. For example, the realm where the Lucerion Clan resided had a sun and moon that appeared enormous and close to the ground, or Erretis, which had nine suns and nine moons.

Not only that, but each season didn't affect the seasons in other realms. In the main realm, it was currently autumn, but in Erretis, it was winter.

The realm inhabited by the Lucerion Clan was called the main realm because of its central location. It was also home to the Arcanor Clan and the headquarters of the Death God worshippers. This realm had the most abundant resources, far surpassing those of other realms.

Meanwhile, the realm Amon was headed to was Erretis, also known as the Realm of Six Continents or the Realm of Nine Lights.

Erretis was also home to the Arcilla Kingdom, which ruled over one large continent. It was a superpower in that realm and held the top position there.

It was no wonder they were arrogant. Although in reality, they were not equal to the Lucerion Clan, which controlled not just a quarter of a realm but a quarter of the entire Mortal World.

Amon arrived at the coast or the border of the Arcilla Kingdom.

He immediately summoned a mansion from his Mansion Summon Ring.

Then, two weeks passed, and nothing happened.

"Oh, damn, I've been cursed by the bed god again."
