"I want to kiss you."
Lieselotte lay on her bed, replaying the scene over and over in her mind. She rolled across the sheets, burying her face in the pillow, crumpling everything around her.
She pulled her hands away, feeling the warmth of her flushed cheeks. She wandered to the mirror, first turning her face to the left, then to the right. T
he pink hue still hadn't faded, spreading all the way to the tips of her ears. Her heart pounded, heat radiating through her body, too strong to ignore. She inhaled deeply, trying to steady her breath, but every exhale carried the warmth with it, as if she could relive that moment forever.
Her reflection caught her attention again. Slowly, she traced her lips with her index finger, outlining their curve, before pressing them softly together. Her eyes closed without thinking, and those words echoed in her head, refusing to fade: "I want to kiss you."
