Katelynn didn't respond at first.
"What's wrong? Why'd everything take such a weird turn?"
"No! I... I... Can you just—hand me some paper towels?" Lieselotte stammered, trying to hold it together.
Katelynn passed her a few, stuffing them into Lieselotte's hand. "Wait a sec, Lieselotte, I gotta handle something. But you need to close your eyes."
"So secretive." Katelynn smirked as she shut her eyes, a knowing grin tugging at the corner of her lips.
Lieselotte frantically wiped Katelynn's hair, her pulse racing. If she finds out, she'll think I'm totally gross!
She moved fast, trying to finish before Katelynn caught on. But just as she dabbed the last spot, Katelynn's eyes popped open.
"Lieselotte, what are you doing? Why are you messing with my hair?"
Panic set in, and Lieselotte threw the paper towel aside like it had betrayed her. "I... uh... saw something in your hair! Just thought I'd help out."
