I just sit there staring into space, I can't find the motivation to anything. Well what can I do? I've already searched everywhere for an exit but there isn't any, and it's not like I can jump 20 meters to get back through the hole I fell from.
I look back over towards the silver glow.
Even when I was trying to think of ways to get out of this place, my mind kept circling back to it. I doubt getting will help me escape this place, but I can still feel that strong nagging feeling, telling me I need to get it.
I check my quest timer again and see that only 2 hours have passed. Honestly it feels like I've been sat here for about 6, but I guess it just feels like that because I've done nothing but stare into space.
It's all that stupid giant spiders fault! If it didn't drag me into this god forsaken cave, I would be at home right now curled up on my nice and cosy little bed of dried leaves. If I reincarnate again, I'm going to make sure I come back and kill that thing no matter what!
Whilst thinking these useless kind of thought I slowly drift off to sleep, curled up on the cold cave floor.
I wake up a few hours later, the first thing I do is check my quest timer.
only 4 hours have past! I still have 151 hours to sit here and wait for my death. You would think the fact that time is going slowly would be a good thing, that I could do my best to enjoy the remaining time I have, but no!
The longer I sit here, the worst I feel. I have already given up and just want this to end now. I've even thought about ending it my self but I know I would never be able to actually be able to do it. I had tried in my past life but was never able to go through with it.
I look back towards the silver glow, I decide to go back to the lake and see if I can figure out how to get to it. It might be pointless to me now but at least it will pass the time.
Getting back to the lake, I once again look at the boulders. I'm sure these are the key to getting to the centre, I just can't figure out what to do with them.
I had already tried connecting them to the...
Huh?
They're not connected to the water anymore!
Well one of them is, but that one was connected to the water in the first place!
I run over to the nearest boulder to take a closer look. The channel I dug out, isn't even there no more! I can't even see any traces of it! It's as if everything reset to how it was originally when I went to sleep.
I stop and think about it for a moment.
This confirms that there is defiantly something that needs to be done to get to the centre. Maybe there a time limit to do it in, and if you don't do it in the time limit everything resets. But if there is a time limit, it can be anything between 2 and 6 hours, because I was asleep for 4 hours and I could have reset at any time during that period.
Either way i'm guessing that what ever I need to do, is going to take a few hours. Why else would whoever made this make the time limit so long.
I start thinking about what else I could possibly do. I had already tried connecting the boulders to the water and didn't work. But what if I tried connecting the boulders to each other? That would defiantly take me many hours to do. The lakes huge and I would have to dig around the whole thing.
With nothing better to do, I decide to give it a shot. Even if it doesn't work, at least I would have managed to waste a few hours.
I decide to start at one of the boulders next to the one that's connected to the water. I connect them to that one last because I don't want the channel I'm digging to fill up with water whilst i'm still trying to dig.
Just under 4 hours later, I'm finally nearly done. My dig skill levelled up twice in that time and all I have to do now is connect both sides of the channel to the boulder with the water and then wait for the water to flow through the channel round the whole lake.
I connect one side and watch as the water starts filling the channel before activating my dash skill and dashing to the other end to quickly connect that side as well.
Now all I have to do is wait. It shouldn't take too long now that the waters traveling from both sides. Around 15 minutes later the water stops flowing, meaning that the channel I dug is completely filled.
I wait another 10 minutes to see if anything happens but again nothing does.
Sigh...
It looks like this was a bust as well. I wasn't sure this would work in the first place but I was a little bit hopeful. The whole thing could reset at any time now and I really don't want all my hard work to go to waste.
I decide to quickly connect all the boulders to the lake again like I did yesterday. If this still doesn't work and it ends up just resetting, I'll just try to do something that doesn't require digging. After doing it for hours i'm getting pretty sick of it.
I run round to each other the boulders and dig a channel from them to the water, just like I did yesterday. It's a bit harder than yesterday because of the water, but I manage to get them all done.
Just as the last channel I dug finishes filling up, the whole cavern starts shaking. I struggle to stay on my feet as stalactites starts falling around me. A grinding sound could be heard like two rocks grinding together and the silver glow on the island was getting brighter and brighter.
Eventually the silver glow became too bright, and I had to close my eyes to not be blinded. Luckily the stalactites had already stopped falling, otherwise I might have ended up getting speared by one.
Soon the grinding noise stopped, replaced by the sound of water splashing. I peeked threw my eyelids making sure the blinding light was gone and saw 5 stone bridges leading to the centre of the lake.
At the centre of the lake, the little island had now risen even more, and in the centre of the island a small stone could be see floating about a meter of the ground, giving off the same silver glow that could be seen before.
