Hermes stood up and faced the horrified Bennett, as if he had already made up his mind. Bennett took a step back, his face contorting with disbelief. Meanwhile, Marina relished the scene, her hand cupped over her cheek.
"D-don't listen to her, Sir Hermes! S-she's trying to fool you!" Bennett pleaded desperately, making Chara let out a chuckle while covering her mouth.
Hermes took a step forward, and Bennett instinctively moved two steps back. Hermes took another step forward, and once again, Bennett retreated two steps.
"I just want you to take this sword to assure you that I won't do what she's asking," Hermes said.
His words made Chara suddenly frown, her smile disappearing immediately. Behind her, Marina continued to enjoy the scene, the corners of her lips never turning downward.
