Chapter 47 - Beauty and the Demon

Haris approached Marcus slowly, taking care not to make a sound. Fortunately, Arabella was looking away from them, oblivious to his presence. If she had noticed him, Marcus might have turned and seen Haris behind him. When he was close enough, Haris clenched his right hand into a tight fist, then drew his arm back, trembling with the channelled energy. With his gaze fixed on Marcus, Haris confirmed that he had not been noticed. Then, in a swift motion, he swung his arm forward and released his tightly clenched fist in a punch aimed directly at the back of Marcus's head.
