After Arabella entered the building, Haris closed the wooden doors that split into two. The room was dark and dusty, appearing to have once been the living room of the house. At the center of the room stood a round table surrounded by several chairs. A lamp rested atop the table, accompanied by a tinderbox. On one side of the room, there was a chest with some books on top of it. Next to the chest, a violin hung gracefully on the wall. On the opposite side, a door led into the kitchen.
Haris moved toward the table and picked up the lamp, blowing off the thick layer of dust before examining its condition. The lamp was familiar to him; some items in this world resembled those found in Daekosmos. He noticed that the lamp's wick had not yet burnt out and that there was still some fuel inside. He picked up the tinderbox, struck a spark, and lit the lamp, casting a warm glow in the otherwise dark room. Although there was some light, it did not reach the farthest corners.
