Author's POV
Maggie and Fiona met downstairs in the kitchen after Elizabeth had finally fallen asleep.
"Hey Fiona, you are here." Maggie greeted the other woman.
"Yes Maggie, how is she? Was she able to eat anything? "
Maggie looked up in the direction of Elizabeth's room and with a sigh, she looked back at Fiona who was looking at her askance.
"Yes, just a little. Poor thing, she had not eaten since we left the pack in the morning. She has gone through so much.To be rejected like that… That was something she didn't have to go through. No, Sebastian has not been fair and that is something I can never forgive him for."
Maggie talked for so long, looking agitated.
"What really happened? Seb and Elizabeth seemed to be so much in love, what could have actually gone wrong? There must be more to what we see Maggie. Let's wait for Elizabeth to tell us what happened. We will give her time."
Fiona concluded with resignation, her fair head so like Elizabeth bobbing up and down.
Looking at her ,one would think she was Elizabeth's birth mother. While she was fair like Elizabeth, her eyes were quite different. She had gray eyes and they were quite ordinary.
Maggie looked at Fiona and could not stop admiring her. She was such a strong werewolf. Surviving outside the werewolf territory was a feat but marrying a human was another level of bravery.
"Okay Fiona, let me check up on Luna, see if she is okay."
"Alright Maggie. See you tomorrow" Fiona bad where goodbye.
Maggie climbed up to the room and met Elizabeth sleeping fitfully. She was sweating so much even with the AC on.
Frowning, she went closer and touched Elizabeth.. She was burning up. Could it be that she was in heat?
For the two years she had known Elizabeth, she had never seen her sick .
Even her heat episodes were not severe since she was with Sebastian who could make her feel better by just being near her.
Could it be because she was far away from the Alpha?
Maggie quickly got some water from the bathroom and proceeded to mop her forehead. Swearing under her breath never to forgive that boy who had done this to her sweet child. Never.
Elizabeth' s POV
My nightmares that night came back with a vengeance.
In my dreams I was leading the army into war with my three generals who turned out to be my children. I looked and felt different, very powerful, wearing a war habit that fitted me like a second skin
It was only a four man army against thousands of lycans.
I looked around , standing on the hill overlooking the Lycan soldiers and giving a mocking laugh I said,
"You have not heard of Luna Elizabeth and her three generals, if you had, you wouldn't have dared to challenge the Blood Moon Pack today.
"Bring it on Luna, we challenge you today." their leader, a good looking young man looked up at me and boldly declared.
One of the generals looked at me and said ,
" Mother, give me the go ahead" to which I nodded and the three generals shifted into giant red wolves and disappeared into the Lycan army.
In a twinkle of an eye, every Lycan lay dead and only their Alpha , Ashford remained standing , stupefied and aghast at the slaughter….
I jerked awake, sweating and panting. Three generals? Lycans? Pups?
Goddess, what are you showing me again? All the visions you have shown me so far have not brought me joy, no joy at all.
"Please goddess , not again. I am tired of it all."
But tried as I might in the coming weeks, I could not get the dream out of me especially when one of those generals had called me mother.
And Ashford? Goddess who is he? What relationship do we share? Me, a mother? Will I ever be?
I had so yearned to carry my pups but it never happened. For the two years I spent with Sebastian, I had known what everyone was worried about. They had called me barren behind my back and I had pretended not to know. For the love of Sebastian, I had kept quiet and ignored a
a lot, tolerated so much.
So much for the love I thought we shared. It had been so easy for him to cast me out. The pain remained like a festering wound. I could not forget.
Maggie and Aunt Fiona have been my rock. Never letting me feel sad . They had asked severally what I wanted to do next but I insisted I had no idea of what I wanted to do next.
My dream after high school was to be a fashion designer but now? After everything I had been through? All I wanted to do was to just laze around all day.
However, my conscience could not just leave me alone. I had to take care of everyone and for that I needed a skill.
I quickly dialed Sally's cellphone number which luckily Aunt Fiona still had .
"Hey Sally, Pretty Long."
"And who is this please?" Sally replied, frowning. She had no idea it was me.
" It's me, Elizabeth, can we meet?" I asked , my voice full of excitement. I have missed her.
"Oh, you remember me now, why?" Sally said and I could feel her voice filled with Sarcasm.
"Sally, don't be like this, I really need you." I was almost in tears.
" And what happened to the mighty Sebastian for whom you just abandoned me and all our future plans?" Sally replied, sounding very bitter.
"Sorry Sally, if you don't want to meet with me no problem take care …." My voice trailed away.
I didn't blame Sally. The euphoria of finding my mate had made me forget Sally. I have not called her for once since I left West Coast County. She must have been very hurt. I have no one to blame.
Tears pooled in my eyes when I remembered Sebastian and all we shared, I never dreamed I would have a day like this ever again.
I thought I had found my happy place and safe haven in Seb and our Blood Moon Pack, but here I am again. Begging to be loved and accepted.
Just as I was about to disconnect the call, I heard Sally say,
"Wait…."
My heart leaped with new hope. Will Sally forgive me? Will things go back the way they were between us?
