Chapter 2 - Nothing Like a Thousands Years of Vacation

Thousands of years later....

Somewhere in the United States, a black super sports car with gold lines and over 1000 horsepower was speeding recklessly, its driver looking like a 21-year-old young man who abused his extraordinary driving skills to reach over 300 kilometers per hour. The young man's appearance was quite handsome by society's standards, with black hair and blue eyes, accompanied by a physique that seemed thin at first glance, but under his clothes he had well-distributed muscles all over his body.

The driver saw a road leading to a rural area, quickly turned the steering wheel and pulled the clutch, causing the car to skid across the asphalt. This action could easily have caused the car to roll over and cause a fatal accident, but the car was anything but normal. The driver's hands shone a white light that covered the tires, turning them red and allowing the car to move along the road as if it were on a racetrack.

"It's a beautiful day today." I commented to myself, stepping on the gas as I took in the scenery. "I'm glad this place hasn't been deforested, it's a great place to admire nature."

Let's start with the basics, my name is Lux and I am Allspark. Many would say it's amazing to be the vessel of virtually unlimited cosmic power, but I can assure you it's not as interesting as it seems, especially when at any moment I could be abducted and taken to another planet light years away. You could argue that having eternal youth is cool, but no, spending over 300,000 years watching the world change is not as much fun as it sounds.

Some people would think of using this power to remake the world in their image or create a utopia, but believe me, it's not a good idea. Being an Allspark has given me a wealth of knowledge about the universe, and thanks to the history of Cybertron, I've learned that there are risks to exponentially advancing a society's technology. Cybertronians are a powerful race, with access to technologies that can destroy worlds, terraform planets, or even create objects of gigantic power that can even open portals in time and space.

For many ages on Cybertron there has been a pattern that never changes: wars, many wars. The Cybertronians are in a vicious cycle of war, repeating the same mistakes over and over, the countless stories recorded in Allspark, along with my time of learning, made me understand that I should never interfere with the human race.

As a human, I realize that humanity is more violent than the Cybertronians themselves, and if they had more power in their hands, this planet would already be destroyed. The example is right in the history of humanity, the most recent that I can highlight my argument is the World Wars, this alone is enough to validate my point for not interfering with the evolution of technology on planet Earth.

The only thing I will defend humanity for is our creativity in the entertainment industry, that's right, no one in the universe surpasses us. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen, AD/DC and the Beatles. As a fan of these legendary bands, I said yes, I went to all the shows at that time.

As I was enjoying the ride with the wind blowing in my face, I saw a huge explosion on the horizon. "Did a gas truck explode?" I wondered as I stepped on the gas to get to the site of the explosion. "This time of year the forest is more prone to fire, if I don't intervene, a large part of this place will be destroyed by the time the firefighters arrive."

I put my car into top gear and accelerated as fast as I could, the engine roaring violently through the air. Unfortunately, as beautiful as this planet is, it is also fragile.

As I approached the source of the explosion, I quickly slammed on the brakes as I noticed something completely unearthly, yet familiar in its form.

"A Cybertronian warship..." I couldn't help but feel worried, because as far as I could remember from the Allspark's latest information on Cybertron, there was a civil war going on on a planetary scale, and it would be reckless of me to approach it without caution. Even when I saw its somewhat threatening shape, it was difficult to determine whether it was an ally or an enemy, because from the Allspark's perspective, or rather my own, I was thrown into space like a baseball.

I waited a while to see if the Cybertronian ship would leave or not, just keeping a safe distance and hoping the fire wouldn't get out of control. A transparent tube descended from the center of the ship to the ground near the explosion, which turned out to be an elevator transporting some robots along with another red one that looked like it had received the biggest beating of its life.

"I must be in bad company," I whispered, gripping the wheel tightly. "I underestimated the Cybertronians, so they really are on this planet. Knowing Cybertron's history, the war may still be raging."

As the Cybertronian ship fades into the horizon, I feel confident that I can get to work and prevent a forest fire. I get out of my car and grab a fire extinguisher from the trunk.

"I hate wars." I clenched my fists in anger as I watched the flames spread. I closed my eyes and let the smallest amount of my power flow through my body, just enough to create a transformation.

My hands turned white as I summoned my power over the fire extinguisher I was holding, turning it into an ice gun. "Time to bring out the big guns." As I pulled the trigger, a beam of ice was fired, instantly freezing the burning trees. I must admit that I was impressed by its power, as it was more effective than I had imagined. "Hmm, maybe I should just call this one the Instant Ice Cream Gun."

Once I was sure the whole area was safe, I walked back to my car and threw my makeshift gun on the passenger seat. "I think I'll go get some burgers."

Decepticon Warship:

Starscream, the current captain of the Warship and the Decepticons, had his razor-sharp fingers inside the chest of the Autobot Cliffjumper, compromising his life-support systems.

Cliffjumper's glowing blue eyes began to fade, and his body collapsed unceremoniously to the ground as Starscream rejoiced in his untimely and unresisting death.

"Clear this garbage out of here." Starscream ordered those responsible for the Autobot's capture, cleaning his fingers covered in Energon, the energy and blood of the Cybertronians. He turned his back on the corpse and concentrated on the controls of the warship.

A thin and intimidating looking Decepticon approached calmly; unlike other ordinary Cybertronians, his face was practically a smooth screen, similar to a television, which served to make his function easier and more precise.

"What is it, Soundwave?" Starscream asked, only glancing over his shoulder to see his war partner of millennia.

Soundwave's face began to reproduce a simulation of radio waves as he broadcast a transition captured from a communication between two Autobots minutes earlier, that of Cliffjumper and Arcee.

"Little Arcee is nearby, interesting, why kill one Autobot when we can kill two?" Starscream said in an evil tone, unleashing his killer instinct.

Soundwave stood beside Starscream like a shadow or a ghost, making it clear that there was something more.

Noticing Soundwave's classic unsettling silence, Starscream snorted and looked at him seriously. "Is there anything else that matters?"

Soundwave's face displayed an Energon detection map, showing a remarkable amount of energy released in an instant at the same spot where Cliffjumper was captured.

"An energy signal? It must be a fragment of Energon that exploded; that place was an Energon mine of no significance to us." Starscream turned and returned to his task. "Don't waste your time on petty nonsense."

Though Soundwave chose to keep his oath of silence, his enigmatic gaze carried several hidden emotions that few could read. Still, it was obvious that as an expert in several fields, he was suspicious of the mysterious energy.
