Aiden's POV
"Come again!" Chloe said to me, her eyes furrowing in disbelief as she fixed her gaze on me.
I had expected that reaction. I knew she was going to be taken aback by my request.
It wasn't every time you would see a man at the bottom rank like me asking for the Alpha's precious time.
However, I had prepared myself for the moment so even though her eyes seemed to be burning a hole in my face, I managed to appear unshakable.
"Greetings, Alpha." I began, bowing in submission.
"I apologize for just appearing out of nowhere, I didn't mean to take you by surprise. I just wanted to talk to you." I told her, gently.
For a second, I didn't hear her talk and I was tempted to look at her face but I knew I shouldn't overstep my boundaries.
"Okay, let's hear what you have to say." She finally responded.
