Third person's POV
Aiden's heart raced as he felt the weight of everyone's stares. The air around him still tingled with residual energy, and the taste of sand lingered on his tongue.
"What did you just do?" Chloe repeated her unanswered question.
Aiden swallowed hard, trying to compose himself.
"It was just the weather." Aiden replied sharply, his voice cracking slightly. The words felt hollow even as he spoke them.
"A coincidence, nothing more. Definitely!" He added and it was obvious he wasn't sure of what he was saying.
Internally, Aiden's mind was in turmoil.
"I couldn't have done that. I have no power. It is impossible." He thought to himself frantically.
Chloe's golden eyes narrowed, skepticism etched across her features.
The scent of her disbelief was palpable, mingling with the dust in the air. She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could, Ethan rushed to her side.
