Third person's POV
Damian walked out of Chloe's manor as discreetly as always, following the backdoor of her bedroom which led to back of her territory.
"Fuck!" He grunted, clenching his fists. He had risked coming over without be summoned as the agreement between them and was ecstatic when she seemed happy to see him.
"What the heck happened all of a sudden?" He thought to himself, feeling so disappointed.
"My prince, over here!"
Damian's head snapped up at the sound of his second-in-command's voice. He spotted Lucas crouched behind a thick shrub, holding the reins of their horses.
With a final glance back at Chloe's manor, Damian strode over to his loyal companion, giving a firm nod to the two warriors guarding the area.
"What happened, my prince? You weren't inside for long." Lucas observed, concern etching his features as he handed Damian the reins to his midnight-black steed.
