Chloe's Point of View
The evening air was cool and refreshing as I came out of the office with my hand naturally slipping into Jonathan's as we walked toward the car. Today had been different, for no one of us was calm, and yet today they were. I'd been bold today by planning dinner, and though Jonathan agreed, I sensed that there was something in his mind.
"Where are we going?" he asked once we were both seated inside the car, his deep voice cutting through the silence.
"I made a reservation at a place not too far from here," I replied, a small smile tugging at the corners of my mouth. "I think you'll like it. It's quiet, and the food is incredible."
