Breakfast was over after some time. Abi wanted to escape with Matilda before anyone reminded her to get Leo's food for him. She didn't want to see him for the rest of the day. She wanted to avoid him so much. She would even like his fiancée to get his food to him. She didn't care at all. But his stupid fiancée was not in sight.
"Matilda, shall we go on a tour?" Abi asked her when they were alone in the kitchen.
"You must have forgotten that I'm still your husband's prisoner, Abigail," Matilda replied with a sad smile.
"C'mon," Abi held her hand.
"I can't go anywhere without his permission. You can ask Cedric, though. I prefer to talk to him than your husband. Your husband makes me want to pee my pants anytime I want to approach him," Matilda laughed, and Abi joined her.
What she said was true, anyway, so why should she be angry about that? Leo needs to stop looking angry and pissed all the time.
"But you can talk to him when you go to give him his food. I think Cedric is angry with me," Matilda said.
"Why would he be angry with you? What did you do?" Abi asked, because she knows him as an easy-going guy. He's always smiling and doesn't talk much, so why would he be angry at her? Cedric was a cute guy. He's so fine, but he's not like Leo. That stupid guy! Heartless motherfucker. Abi doesn't like to think about him at all. He makes her angry all the time.
"It's since last night. I don't know what I did to him. He won't talk to me too," Matilda tied her hair up with a rubber band.
"Allow me. A pregnant woman shouldn't be doing this," Matilda took over the dishes.
"Thanks," Abi smiled at her.
"By the way, who's that girl with the orange hair?" Matilda asked, her curiosity piqued.
"That's Leo's fiancée," Abi replied quickly.
"Don't mind me. I'm just here for the baby and scandal. Nothing is going on between both of us. He doesn't like me, anyway."
"You think so?" Matilda asked with a mocking tone.
"What's with that look?" Abi interrogated.
"What do you think of your husband?" Matilda asked. "Tell me, do you find him attractive and so hot?"
"Hot my ass. I don't like him if that's what you want to hear. I don't know why that question is being asked by you girls today. I'll ask Cedric if he's angry at you," Abi turned around.
"Where are you going, Abi?" Matilda yelled as Abi began to walk away.
"I want to take Leo's food to him, of course," Abi yelled back and ran away.
Matilda laughed when she saw her cute behavior. She continued washing the plates, and her mind kept drifting to Cedric. She shook her head and removed her mind from the thoughts.
"Why do you keep shaking your head?" She froze when she heard Cedric's voice. She hadn't seen him or heard him approaching her. She looked back and found him resting on the wall.
"What are you doing here?" Matilda asked him with a neutral smile on her beautiful face.
"Can't I come to see you again?" He asked back with a frown.
"Oh! I never said such a thing! You can come to see me, of course. You saved my life, so I'd forever be indebted to you," Matilda retorted.
"So," Cedric walked up to her. "You see me as your savior and nothing else. Just that?"
Matilda looked at him and gulped her spit. Why was he so close to her? Seconds ago, he was leaning against the wall by the door, and now she could feel his breath on her face. Even though he was in simple clothes, he still looked good. He was wearing an ash shirt with a black jacket. His black joggers were also simple on him. Matilda was wearing a tight-fitted crazy jeans and a top. The top was a blend of two colors - turquoise blue and black. Her silky hair was very black, but she had packed it with a rubber band.
"Yes?" Matilda was not sure of what she should say.
He began to turn around with a frown. It dawned on Matilda that he was still angry at her. He was leaving already!
"Cedric," Matilda called and began to pray that he would say 'yes' to what she wanted to ask.
"What?" Cedric questioned.
"Can I go out with -"
"No, you can't leave this place until I say so," Cedric snapped and walked away in anger. Matilda furrowed her brows and hissed. She began to wash the plates noisily with anger.
"Careful, Indian girl! Don't you girls wash plates back there?" Ophelia hissed.
"Don't talk to me," Matilda replied.
"I never wanted to, okay? I just-"
"Shut up!" Matilda pushed her away. Ophelia staggered and watched the angry girl walk away.
"Bitch!" Ophelia screamed and slipped. She hit her bum on the floor so hard and she cried out. Matilda heard her cry but she didn't turn around. She didn't care, so she continued walking.
Abi walked into the room with Leo's food in a tray. She quickly looked away when she realized he was wearing his clothes.
"I brought your food. Cedric told me you asked me to bring it up," Abi said and began to set it.
Leo watched her with amusement. He quickly buttoned up his shirt and sat on the chair to eat his food.
"Are you full?" Leo looked at her stomach. He could tell that the baby bump was already showing.
"Yeah," Abi replied softly. She was wearing a pink crop top with the text imprinted on it: 'LOS ANGELES'. She was also wearing simple white trousers with the crop top.
Leo began to eat but furrowed his brows when she tried to leave.
"Where are you going to?" He asked coldly.
Abi didn't answer. She just looked at her feet and bit her lips.
"You have to answer me when I speak to you. Are you dumb?" He asked her and shook his head.
"I wanted to be with Matilda," Abi replied.
"Why? Your husband makes you bored?" Leo's gaze pierced through her.
"You don't make me bored," Abi replied quickly.
"I just thought you'd want me out of the room."
"Why would I want you out of the room?" Leo asked.
"Or you want to spend some time with Dominic or that ugly boy instead?" Abi's ears turned red when she heard that. She was angry - very angry. Why would he bring them up?
Leo knew she was angry with the way she was looking at him. She would be angry, but she would end up saying anything. That's her type of anger. All he knows was that she was busy cursing him in her head. He enjoys making her angry so much. He doesn't know why. All he knows was that he loves seeing her angry face. It was so cute.
"Stay here till I'm through. We're going on a date today. Matilda would be fine with Cedric," Leo addressed her.
"A date?" Abi was surprised.
"Don't you need to go to work? What if you get fired? You work every day."
Leo chuckled and picked up his spoon.
"I'm the boss."
Abi bit her lips after realizing her stupidity. That's why he calls her stupid all the time. Why would she say that?
"I don't have any clothes to wear," Abi brought up an excuse. Why would she go on a date with him?
"Wear that," Leo said.
Abi followed his direction and she heaved a sigh. He really came prepared.
"Is this our honeymoon?" Abi asked.
"Of course not. Why would we have a honeymoon? Who do you think you are?" Leo responded.
Abi didn't answer his question. She took the bag that was beside the bed and peeped into it. It was a short baby pink dress with sleeves and a smoky bust. Abi loved the dress, but she turned red because he would see her in it. It was a dress that would flaunt a part of her cleavage. It's not like she can't wear it out, but it's a freaking date, and she would be with him throughout.
"Do you like it?" Leo asked when he didn't hear her say anything.
"Yes," Abi replied and took the bag.
"Thanks."
"Hm," He nodded and drank some water.
"Why am I going on a date with you when your fiancée is around?" Abi asked, because it was not making any sense. He had told her to be with Julian, and he's still clinging to her like they were a thing from the very beginning. What does he really want from her?
"I'm your husband," Leo gave an excuse.
"No, you're not. You're just my husband by contract and for the baby's sake. Go on a date with Ophelia. I'll pass the dress to her. I'll also get someone to get the plates when you're done," Abi said angrily and went out of the room.
Leo's expression turned sour when he heard what she said. He might agree with all she had said. It was indeed the bitter truth.
Leo stopped eating and drank more water. He doesn't have an appetite anymore. He opened his laptop to check any important messages he had to reply to. He quickly tended to it and was on it for twenty minutes. He stopped and paused to look at his hands.
He chuckled and continued typing. He checked himself in the mirror and opened the door. His phone pinged, and he sighed. He hasn't looked at his phone since morning. He took it from the table and glanced at the message he received from an unknown number.
He clicked on the message, which was in the form of a video, and his expression turned grim. His face darkened with displeasure, and his jaw clenched. He hissed and began to type, but the sender was faster.
'How do you like the gift, my dear competitor?' Leo knew it was from Santiago immediately he read the message.
'Thanks for the gift. I'm looking forward to more,' Leo replied to the text.
'That's great. Look forward to watching your wife's porn with me next. She's a sexy bitch I'd love to have on my bed,' Santiago texted back.
'In your dreams in hell, bastard!,' Leo replied and blocked his number immediately.
Ophelia was there in the pink dress already, and a small purse was in her hand. Leo hissed and pushed her away.
"Where are you going? Ain't we going on a date?" Ophelia asked him cutely.
"Go on one with Ronny. I'm not in the mood," Leo replied.
"When will you be in the mood?" Ophelia hugged him.
Abi was passing and saw them in that intimate position. She quickly apologized and turned around immediately. Leo pushed Ophelia away from him in anger and thundered:
"Stay out of my sight from now on. I don't want to lay eyes on you till I leave here."
"What do you mean? I'm your fiancée!" Ophelia stamped her foot on the ground.
"Yes," Leo scorned. "Enjoy that privilege till the end of today."
Ophelia grew suspicious of his statement. She became worried immediately.
"Are we breaking up?" Tears began to settle in her eyes.
"Go and ask Santiago for the answer to that question," Leo replied and walked out of the place.
Ophelia broke down in tears and began to cry very hard. She sniffed and sniffed before the real tears came. How would she manage when she's obsessed with him? She began to plan.
"My birthday was yesterday. Your presence was a gift, so I have to give you a gift in return," Roman smiled and brought out a small fancy basket.
"What have I done to deserve a gift?" Abi asked with a blush, even though she was looking forward to the gift.
"Your wedding gift. This puppy will keep you company when Leo is not around. Besides, I can tell that the puppy is in love with you already," Roman placed the basket on the table and opened it.
Abi placed her palms over her mouth when she saw the puppy crawl out of the basket. She hugged Roman immediately and smiled.
Dominic cleared his throat thrice. Abi moved back and apologized.
"It's no problem," Roman smiled.
"I also bought this," Cedric cleared his throat and placed another basket on the table. Another puppy crawled out of the basket.
Abi's was brown, while the one from Cedric was white.
"Awwn," Abi looked at it.
"It's for you, Matilda. We bought it together," Cedric added and sat down.
"Is it male or female?" Matilda asked.
"Male," Cedric replied.
"What about mine?" Abi asked Roman in excitement.
"Female. It's a pity. I wanted it to be a male," Roman said sadly.
"Why? If you think animals can talk, you must be going nuts," Logan laughed.
" Alice's puppy is black. It's just like this, and sometimes I can understand it," Roman pouted.
"That's because she's crazy. Why would a crazy girl raise a dog? The dog is also crazy. And you're the one going crazy now for you to understand two crazy beings," Cedric chuckled.
"Alice is not crazy. At least, she managed to have a boyfriend, unlike you, who can't manage to get a girl," Roman insulted him.
Cedric hissed and rolled his eyes.
"That's true," Benjamin added pepper to Cedric's wound.
"Enough!" Abi banged the table.
"It's only Roman that gave me a wedding gift."
"Name whatever you want. I'll get it for you, O princess of the spaghetti land," Dominic sang.
Abi looked at him and chuckled a little bit.
"Really?" She asked.
"Of course," Dominic assured her.
"Speaking of wedding gifts, has Leo given you that?" Logan asked.
Roman nodded, and the rest looked forward to hearing her reply. Abi didn't want to answer that question. Leo was a good man, and she didn't want them to think he wasn't taking care of her or that he was too mean to her. "Ah, I'm hungry," she rubbed her tummy.
Dominic kicked Roman away when he heard that. He was curious about what she wanted to eat, so he would cook it for her. "I want to cook it," Abi pleaded.
"I won't allow that. You're pregnant with my baby. You can't manage to stress yourself," Leo walked towards them with a frown on his face.
"Does he ever smile?" Matilda muttered, but everyone heard her.
"Why would I laugh with you, criminal?" Leo asked her back.
Matilda furrowed her brows but didn't say anything. He was right, though. She was still wanted, so she was a criminal. His criminal.
Abi glanced at Matilda and frowned. She knew she was not happy. Leo had just insulted her in front of everybody. She decided to speak up for her friend.
"Don't call her a criminal. Her name is Matilda. Would you like someone to call you a criminal all the time? Besides, she doesn't look like one, but you do," Abi scolded her husband.
Everybody looked at Abi in shock. No one had spoken to Leo like that. No one had dared to question him, but she spoke to him like he was nobody. But they didn't know. They didn't know that that's all they did all day. They fought and bickered a lot. They insulted each other, so it was a surprise to both of them.
"Bravo!" Dominic clapped his hands and shook Abi's hand.
"I'm so—"
"No! Don't apologize," Logan shushed her and smiled at her. "Let him feel anger and hurt. I want him to be human for once."
Cedric didn't say anything, but he was enjoying it. He had never seen that before. He looked forward to seeing more of it.
"What was your wedding gift to Abi, Leo?" Dominic asked.
Leo avoided his question and asked, "Where's Darcy and Benjamin?"
"They went back already. Darcy went to Spain to see Sapphire, while Benjamin went to the country to see his friend—that idiot," Logan rolled his eyes.
"Junho is back?" Leo asked nonchalantly, with a hiss.
"Yeah, he would be spending three days here, so Benjamin had to go," Logan replied.
"Are you talking about Park Junho?" Abi asked.
"Do you have a crush on him too?" Dominic teased her.
"No, it's not like that," Abi blushed.
Leo looked at his wife and rolled his eyes. He didn't know why she would blush at his name. Such a silly girl.
"Then?" Dominic asked.
"I just happened to know him. He's my friend," Abi quickly said.
"Don't you want to meet him before he goes back?" Logan asked her.
Abi looked at Leo and looked away. She didn't know if he would allow her to go. She already insulted him, so she knew he wouldn't allow her.
"I have plans," Abi asserted.
"That's sad," Logan chirped in.
"Ah-ah," Dominic clapped his hands and looked at Leo. "You avoided my question."
Leo looked at him and cursed under his breath. He never knew Dominic had turned into a great parrot no one likes to listen to.
"Yes," Logan backed him up. "What did you give her as a wedding gift?"
"That's personal. She can't tell you, but you should know that I gave her one of the best gifts last night," Leo said.
"What is that, Abi?" Dominic asked with a smirk.
"I don't remember anymore. I'm hungry. Please grill some fish for me with sauce," Abi avoided Leo's gaze and coughed.
