Chapter 25 - “Do you have a boyfriend, Jes?”

Leo watched his wife open the door and walk out of his room. She didn't say anything to what he said, except "Good luck."

He thinks she's angry at him. He ran his hand through his hair and cursed. He looked at his screen and heaved a sigh. He could decide to sleep, but he can't. He just can't get what he told Abi off his mind. She seemed pretty annoyed with his revelation. There was nothing he could do about that… yet.

Jessica was enjoying her evening by watching a romantic movie starring Junho. She jumped up from her bed after realizing that the honking from a car wouldn't stop. "The driver must be mad to do that in this peaceful neighborhood," Jessica thought angrily as she put on her slip-ons. She froze when she saw Junho in the car. He was about to honk again.

"Hey! I've been calling you for hours! Your dad let me come in," Junho got out of the car with a fancy bag in his hand.

"Why did the security open the gate for you? I'm not going with you to the silly reunion," Jessica stood her ground and folded her hands under her boobs.

Junho looked at his wristwatch and directed his gaze at Jessica. He clicked his tongue and dragged her inside.

"W-what are you doing?!" She shrieked out in fear.

"What do you think?" Junho asked back and looked at her.

"Don't take advantage of me because my parents are not home! I'm not properly dressed, so you should get out," Jessica wanted him to really get out because she knew he would take her to the reunion. She was glad that she found a solid excuse to drive him away, but her frown became deeper after hearing his response.

"Fine. I'll wait for you in the living room. Besides, this is the gown I bought for you. I want to see you in it, so go up and wear it," Junho passed the bag to her.

Jessica peeped into the bag and smiled. She quickly frowned and passed the bag back to him. She loved the dress. It was really sparkling with diamonds. She had seen the dress in the biggest boutique in the country before and had promised to buy it when she had enough money. She had saved a lot for the dress.

But when the time came for her to buy it, someone else had already bought it! Jessica couldn't do anything because it was a limited edition. She asked her friends too, who were into fashion, and wanted to be friends for the name, but they all knew nothing and couldn't place their hands on the dress. The photo of the dress was still on Jessica's phone.

She didn't know how Junho managed to get his hands on the dress since it's a limited edition. Jessica knew the dress was diamonds from the way it was sparkling. The bag was also heavy, so she knew it. She also knew that he must have spent a lot of money on the dress so she could wear it to the reunion.

"Wear the dress, Jessica," Junho returned the bag to her with a frown.

"I thought you would have been ready by now,"

"How would I be ready when you're with the dress? What was I supposed to wear to the party then? My pant and bra?" She scoffed.

"It would have been nice to see you in that too," Junho responded.

Jessica gasped when she heard that. She looked at him and retorted, "You've become a big pervert, Junho!"

"Really?" Junho sat on the sofa.

"I never knew you were one," Jessica commented and started to walk to her room.

"Take your time and hurry up!" Junho yelled from the living room.

"Shut up! What do you know about dressing, jerk?" Jessica yelled back and slammed her door after walking into it.

His phone began to ring in his pocket. He slid his hand into his pocket and took his bottom lip in. It was Abi calling. He smiled warmly and placed the phone to his ear.

"Good morning, Junho. How was your night?" Abi asked cheerfully.

"I should be asking you that, Abi," Junho replied.

"My night is always fine," Abi responded.

"That's great news. I heard pregnant women sleep like a log of wood, but you're still the ever-energetic Abi," Junho joked.

"Don't laugh!" Abi scolded him.

"It's not funny,"

"So, what's up?" Junho asked.

"Nothing," Abi stated. "I just wanted to ask after my big-headed friend. She looks beautiful at the event, right? Make sure you pluck the eyes of the guys that want to rape her," Abi concluded with a gentle laughter.

"Your friend is really a big-headed girl," Junho replied.

"Wait! She didn't go?!" Abi shrieked in disappointment.

"I was up all night talking to that goat! She promised to go with you to the reunion. She really looked forward to it. In fact, we talked for about four hours last night,"

"Four hours?!" Junho exclaimed.

"Yeah. We're girls, remember," Abi rolled her eyes.

"So, hang up now. Let me scold that brat," Abi attempted to do as she said, but Junho stopped her.

"Abi-"

"What?" Abi cut in.

"Please refrain from calling Jessica those ugly names. She's not a brat, and she's never going to be a goat," Junho said seriously.

Abi sighed heavily and asserted, "You have no right to tell me that unless you get her to be your freaking girlfriend already. Where were you when she called me a pretty pig last night?"

"You should be happy you're a pretty pig at least. You do look like one lately," Junho laughed.

"I hate you!," Abi cried.

"It's a pity that I like you so much," Junho replied.

"You're leaving tomorrow, so won't you add me in on the plan?" Abi asked.

"What plan?" Junho inquired.

"You're so slow at getting girls, Junho. If you have eyes, you would see that Jessica is in love with you too. You two are perfect for each other, but you're so freaking slow-"

"Then, I must congratulate Leonardo for getting you so fast, by the mini him you're about to bring to the world," Junho reacted.

"Junho!!!," Abi was having a seizure already. She should have come prepared. She knew it was Jessica who told him everything.

"Abigail, what kind of proposal and date would Jessica like for anyone who would ask her out?" Junho asked.

"I'm not telling you," Abi remarked. She further added with a smirk, "I'll call my best friend now to enjoy her movie with a popcorn. She's going nowhere with you anyway."

"That's too late, Abi. You see, your best friend is already dressing to go for our reunion. Don't worry, I'll make sure to send you many beautiful photos," Junho laughed.

"Screw you, Junho," Abi cried and hung up in annoyance. The bastard was just too smooth for her liking. Too smooth and too cool!

Junho returned his phone to his pockets and looked around the living room. He smiled when he saw their graduation picture hung up on the wall in a small frame. Jessica was obviously glaring at him with a small form on her nose, while he was smiling at the camera. He still remembered what happened that day. The form on her nose was a vanilla ice cream. He had smashed it on her nose because she bought him a pineapple flavor when he doesn't like it. Funny enough, that was her gift to him on the graduation day. Immediately she raised her head to look at him with a frown and he smiled at the camera; their picture was taken!

His eyes traveled to a huge one hung up on the wall. It was a picture of Jessica with her family. They were five humans in the picture. Yes, they were five in the picture. Jessica was a…not twin. She was one of the triplets.

...

"Why are you laughing?" Junho turned around to look at Jessica.

His words got caught in his throat. He just ogled at her without taking his eyes off. She looked so beautiful in the dress. No, she was damn pretty. The dress was an off-shoulder with a slit. Her curves were so graceful, and her cleavage was of the right proportion.

"Uhm, don't you think that the slit is too long?" Jessica asked him when he didn't answer her first question.

Junho was still gawking at her. He still didn't answer her question.

Jessica was annoyed and snapped her fingers twice.

"Oh!" Junho jerked out of whatever he was in and apologized to her.

"What got you frozen?" She frowned.

"What were you asking?" Junho ignored her questions.

"That's the second time. You're ignoring me!" Jessica pouted and wore her nude heels.

"Hold my purse. I have to bend over to zip up my shoe," She hissed.

"No. I'll hold you," Junho offered and bent down immediately.

Jessica felt butterflies in her stomach when Junho's fingers came into contact with her feet. She couldn't help but blush like a fool in love. She knew millions of girls would kill to be her right now.

"Done!" Junho raised his head and admired her again.

"You look so beautiful," He said, and she blushed.

"Thank you," Jessica replied.

Junho stretched his hand out, and Jessica took it reluctantly.

"I can walk on my own, though," She blushed and tucked her hair behind her ears.

He smiled when he saw the necklace on her neck. It was the recent gift he had given her when he came to the country. She was also wearing the earrings. They were a matching set.

Her hair was shiny and long. Her hair was very black and healthy. Her mother runs a business that deals with beauty stuff. So, she uses her mother's personal hair recipe, made just for her and her alone. Once in a while, Abi would come over to steal some for herself. Riley would follow soon, and she would be left with none. Her mother would have no choice but to make some for her daughter again.

"Thank you for coming," Junho appreciated her as he opened the door of the car for her.

"What's with the gentleman's attitude? I've got hands, but thank you," Jessica smiled and sat down.

Her stomach grumbled, and she felt embarrassed. She hadn't eaten since morning because she was thinking of many things. She was looking forward to the reunion and had dreamt of many things too. She fantasized about Junho taking her on a date to ask her out, and many people clapping. She fantasized about Junho acting like the perfect gentleman she had ever met.

She had been waiting for him for so long and switched off her phone when he didn't send her a text or call in the morning. She thought he didn't want to go to the reunion with her again and concluded that he pulled her legs at the brunch they had.

She decided that he just wanted to have her hopes up for nothing. She hadn't eaten anything since morning because she thought they would eat together for the last time before he goes to Korea.

That would be when they're coming back from the reunion. She wants to fill her stomach so much that she would go on a diet for two weeks! She had made up her mind about being the one to take him to eat because she wants the setting to be in the form of a date.

It may be a very long time before they meet again. She knew he would be very busy with work and projects as soon as his foot lands in Korea.

She watched him get into the driver's seat and insert his keys into the hole. The car began to move while he turned on the air conditioner. Jessica sighed and took out her phone. She was fighting so hard to look at him. She wanted to glance so much, but she fought it by replying to Abi's message.

"I wish you a happy date," Abi had sent.

"It's not a date, pretty pig. It's a freaking reunion," Jessica replied.

Jessica had no one else to talk to because Abi was not online anymore. She was not online by the time she had sent the message to her.

"Jes," Jessica turned her head to Junho immediately she heard her name from his mouth. That's what he used to call her anytime he had something important or serious to tell her.

"Hmm?" Jessica blinked. Her heart began to beat faster.

"Does he want to say goodbye?" That was her first thought. "Or does he want to quit being friends with me because he wants to start afresh when he goes to Korea? Is he going to…"

"Do you have a boyfriend, Jes?" He asked as he stared into her eyes.

Jessica's heart began to beat faster again. She blinked faster and licked her lips quickly.

"Why? Why are you asking me that all of a sudden?" She asked him.

"Your eyes on the road, Junho," Jessica scolded him.

"Answer me, Jes. You know I don't like to be kept in suspense. Do you have a boyfriend?" Junho asked again.

Jessica swallowed hard and replied with a soft word, "No."
