Both Sedah and Lyanna hadn't known it yet, but in their passion, they formed a contract with one another. Sedah was a demon. Lyanna was a human. In their physical unison, they had become spiritually bound to one other.
Time had flown by, and Lyanna's belly started to grow.
"Do you want anything to eat? Don't move around ok? If you need any help just ask me. Do you need anything? Are you comfortable? How's your belly? Stay in bed, ok? Do you need water or food? Lyanna, I love you."
"Gosh! Sedah, I'm fine, ok?" She had a smile on her face, rubbing her belly. "The baby is as well, don't worry." Months had passed by. Sedah's emotions had been mixed. Happy and anxious. He would often voice his concerns to Lyanna.
"What if I'm not a good father? Ahh! The child might hate me!"
"I'm sure you'll be a great papa, and I doubt the baby will hate you."
"What if the baby has horns like mine?"
"That would be pretty funny, but it doesn't matter if he or she has horns."
"What if the baby hates his horns and thinks they're weird? Then the baby will hate me." Sedah was very worried.
"Tch. So annoying! Stop worrying already! Your horns aren't- " Lyanna giggled to herself.
"W- What are you laughing at? Are you ok?"
"No, nothing. This moment just reminded me of something similar that happened before. Remember that time when I first introduced you to my parents, you couldn't stop worrying on the way there. Especially about your tiny horns."
"They're not tiny!" Sedah quickly replied.
"They so were! Though, your horns have grown now. Anyway, you kept on worrying as I dragged you along; in the end, everything turned out fine, didn't it?
"You're right, everything turned out fine..no they turned out perfectly."
"Good! Now quit worrying and fetch me some food! I'm starving here!"
Sedah immediately went out, getting food and then came back, feeding it to her. Time passed.
It was finally time, Lyanna had clutched onto Sedah's hand tightly. Pushing. Pushing more, with great pain until finally...
"Wahhh! Wahhhh!"
That same pain had become happiness.
Lyanna's mother carefully wrapped the baby around in a soft cloth. "Let me see my baby," Lyanna said in a weak voice, all her strength had been taken.
Sedah and Lyanna looked at their baby,
coddled now by Lyanna ever so gently. The baby's eyes were blue; its hair was brown.
"It's a girl!" Lyanna had exclaimed, regaining her strength.
"Calm down, Lyanna! You need to rest." Sedah was very nervous, but most of all he truly was happy. He then smirked looking down at the baby. He put his finger out, and the baby clutched onto it.
"Serah, my daughter, I'll protect you." In his mind, his baby was fragile and vulnerable, and so naturally, those words came out.
"Gahh!" The baby had shown a smile.
They both noticed that the baby had one tiny horn.
"Ahhh! My daughter's so cute!! I wuv herrr.." Lyanna had rubbed the baby's nose with her nose, then kissed her on the forehead, unable to hold her affection back.
Sedah, in that moment, felt complete. He didn't yearn for anything more. Becoming a father. Becoming a husband. Yes, this is all he needed in his life. The happiness of his wife and daughter, in turn, brings him joy.
Above into the heavens.
"Detestable! Vile demons!"
"Eradicate!"
"Kill the demon that's surfaced above!"
"Erase every human that communicated with that demon!"
Gods of many different kinds had been informed about the demon known as Sedah, who had climbed above the surface. They gathered, shouted out and voiced their opinions on the matter. Continuously shouting on and on.
One God sat above all of them, hearing their anger. He had then hammered his giant gavel.
*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*
Smashing it over and over, commanding order.
"Enough of your bickering!" He looked down at all the Gods and Goddesses. They all had shut their mouths, becoming still. Nervous and pressured, gulping their throats.
However, one Goddess had then spoken out.
"Don't harm the humans or the demon that has surfaced; his actions have only been good; he has done no wrong!" She spoke with great resolve.
"Eira! You care for these humans. I understand. You have a big heart. But you dare speak for a Demon!" He became enraged. "Not only that, but you speak out as if I hadn't commanded order!" His voice was angry, it had filled the room. However, Eira's resolve did not waver. The God above all of them had seen that.
"You truly vouch for this demon, knowing why we entrapped demons into the ground?"
"Yes, I do!" Eira replied without hesitance.
The God, above all, had stroked his long beard, thinking deeply at what he should do next.
"Demons are born innately being evil, malicious creatures. We all know that. However, this demon known as Sedah has gone against this normality we Gods and Goddesses have believed in. Interesting, but how has a Demon gone and escaped is worrying." The god, above all, had voiced his thoughts out loud; everyone had listened intently, clutching onto his every word.
"I have decided to be patient. I will wait and see before I pass down judgment on this demon known as Sedah. That is final!" He then banged his gavel.
Not a single God or Goddess dare spoke out against his ruling, even if it wasn't what they wanted.
