There were two massive doors on the other side of the room with a few large steps leading up to them.
"That must be the exit. Let's get out of here, I'll carry Rosianne." Baro carefully lifted Rosianne, cradling her in his arms.
Craft and Arthur followed his lead; Arthur was constantly looking down on the floor, unable to meet his eyes with the others. They got closer, and the gigantic doors opened up slowly, making the dungeon rumble.
"Ah, wait!" Craft exclaimed. "Let's loot the Behemoth and grab its magic stone."
"Sure..make it quick," Baro replied, worried about Rosianne's condition
Arthur and Craft went to the corpse of the lifeless Behemoth. Carving away at its flesh, towards the magic stone. Blood had covered Arthur and Craft.
The magic stone had fit in the palm of Arthur, but he could feel the powerful aura of magic emanating from it.
"Let's go, Arthur."
Arthur handed the magic stone to Craft, then placed it in his bag that was filled with loot they had collected from the dungeon.
"We need to go down to the village and get help; forget the Direwolf for now." Baro had strongly forwarded. No one disagreed.
They were all wounded and exhausted but alive.
Exiting out of the door, there were a flight of steps leading up; they couldn't see the end. However, they moved forward, hoping to escape.
After a few hours of walking up and up they were met with a door. A stone door, with carvings same as the entrance of the dungeon.
Arthur recognised this immediately, knowing how to open the door. He spoke the words.
「Разбуди бегемота и брось нам вызов」
The door opened. It led to a cave, but not the same cave they entered from. They walked towards the entrance of the cave, bones had filled the floor. They were met with a harsh blizzard and snow. Their face, hands and feet immediately became numb.
The stairs lead to the top of the mountain and the party had become disheartened.
"Rosianne's condition is getting worse! We have to make it down this mountain; a blizzard isn't going to stop us!" Baro shouted out.
They left the cave, and then they heard a loud howl.
"AWOOOOOO!!"
This was the Direwolf's habitat, its place to eat and rest, and to this direwolf, in the eyes of the direwolf, his home was just invaded.
"AWOOOOOOOOO!!" Five other direwolves came running, baring their fangs towards the party.
Direwolves are typically a B-class monster. They hunt in small packs, vicious, ferocious beasts which target larger prey in groups. Their eyesight is incredible, their fangs are sharp, and their skin is quite tough. They are fast monsters. Depending on the environment they are born in, their fur can be four different colours: White, Brown, Green and Orange. They're fast and walk on four legs. They will howl at a full moon or before hunting their prey, once you hear this great roar! Run! Direwolves of a colossal size have no information.
Baro immediately stepped deeper into the cave. Arthur and Craft had guarded Baro, who was holding Rosianne. Baro gently placed her down on the floor and had his greatsword ready.
Arthur readied his sword and Craft readied his dual blades.
The five direwolves had enclosed them slowly, and the colossal direwolf stood back.
The distance between the direwolves and the four-party members gradually became smaller and smaller.
One of the direwolves growled and then pounced forward; Arthur reacted instantaneously, beheading the direwolf, and its blood spewed onto Arthur.
Craft had charged forward with great speed, cutting the throats of two more direwolves.
However, another direwolf had then lunged at Craft, pinning him to the ground; it started biting away at Craft's neck, digging deeper.
"Craft!" Baro exclaimed.
Baro and Arthur rushed forward with great haste, but then the colossal direwolf interceded, blocking their path.
"AWOOOOOOO!!" It roared. It had become on guard, eyeing its prey.
The smaller direwolf had been continually, gnawing at Craft.
"AGHHHHH!!" he was screaming constantly in great pain. His eyes widened. Then his body grew colder and his vision became darker.
The last smaller direwolf had joined in, feasting on Craft's body. His screams had ceased.
"Get out of the way, you fucking direwolf...I'm gonna kill you and rip out your tongue!" Arthur had anger in their eyes; he charged forward at the Colossal direwolf.
The direwolf caught his sword in his mouth, and in a split second, the blade had broken. It bit through metal. It then dug his canines into his arm.
"GAHHHHH!!!" the bones in his arms had crushed, and out of pain, he let out a scream.
Baro had firmly gripped the handle of the greatsword. He dug it into the eye of the colossal direwolf as the monster was biting on Arthur's left arm.
"AWOOOOOO!!!" The direwolf let out a big cry, letting go of Arthur and pouncing back.
Arthur's eyes were fixated on the beast. Stretching out his right arm, he then spoke with great fury!
「Огонь станет моим клинком! Ветер усилит его еще больше, заставит его гореть еще сильнее!」
His left arm had become aflamed! It then manifested a sword in his hand made purely out of fire, and then it grew even larger, burning bright! The snow on the floor had melted due to the heat of the sword!
"I'll kill you no matter what..." he glared at the Direwolf.
The colossal Direwolf and Baro felt immense pressure coming from Arthur. The two remaining direwolves had run quickly as they felt a great murderous intent from Arthur.
Fight or flight. Just then, that question, ingrained in the instinct of every animal, had now kicked in for this S-Class monster! It chose to stand its ground and fight. He then sprang at Arthur! It was useless.
Arthur swung his sword, burning the limb of the colossal direwolf. The direwolf limped, turning its back to Arthur; now it had attempted to run.
"I'll murder you." Arthur continually repeated.
The direwolf couldn't understand Arthur's words, but the monster knew his life was in danger and he had to escape to survive!
"I'll murder you."
"I'll murder you."
"I'll murder you."
Arthur swung his sword again, chopping off another one of its limbs.
He swung again, now chopping off its tail. He then swung once more, chopping off his last legs.
The direwolf was limbless, and then Arthur proceeded to stab his flaming sword right into the Direwolf's head.
Baro had looked at Craft's now mutilated body. His eyes were lifeless. His body was cold. Baro felt regret and grief, gritting his teeth so hard blood came out of his mouth.
A great shadow covered the ground. Baro and Arthur looked up. They dropped their weapons, all hope was lost, believing they were destined to die right now.
Both of them were dragged into despair.
Fighting wasn't an option...escape wasn't an option when faced against this creature.
