Fu Rongyin's hand paused while he was getting dressed, and he spoke in a calm voice, "Are you going to Fu Rao's wedding?"
On the bedside table next to Chi Yue, there lay the wedding invitation from Fu Rao.
Nothing hurts more than receiving your ex's wedding invitation right after breaking up.
She laughed lightly, "Yes, why wouldn't I go."
Fu Rongyin glanced at the time, "At eight in the morning, I'll have someone come to pick you up."
Chi Yue subtly raised her eyebrows and curved her lips into a smile, "Alright."
After Fu Rongyin left, Chi Yue plunged into her bed and slept until everything was a blur.
She wouldn't be foolish enough to cling to Fu Rongyin just because they had been together once. The fact that Fu Rongyin didn't leave her any money was also a form of respect for her.
At eight in the morning, Chi Yue's front door was knocked on, and by ten, she appeared at the wedding venue.
From a distance, she saw Fu Rao holding the bride's fragile waist, smiling with a wicked and brilliant grin.
Chi Yue straightened her long wavy hair and walked up to Fu Rao with a swaying waist, "Happy marriage, Fu Rao."
Chi Yue had never dressed up before when she was with Fu Rao, because he had said he liked her best without makeup. But when she saw the shock in Fu Rao's eyes as he looked at her, she knew that what Fu Rao had said was bullshit!
Noticing something was off with Fu Rao, the bride tugged at his sleeve, "Ah Rao?"
Fu Rao held the bride's hand reassuringly and sneered at Chi Yue, "One should take a fresh look at someone after being apart for some time. Miss Chi, you've really caught my eye."
Chi Yue's smile was even more radiant than before, "If I had known earlier that you liked this style, I would have dressed like this a long time ago."
Facing the charming Chi Yue, Fu Rao almost glared a hole through her, "Chi Yue, are you playing with me?"
Chi Yue smiled without a word.
Someone nearby noticed the unusual exchange and approached to ask, "Fu Rao, what's wrong?"
Fu Rao stared intently at Chi Yue, "Did you come here specifically to make trouble for me today?"
Chu Shuo followed his gaze and a flash of astonishment crossed his eyes, "Fu Rao, who is this lady...?"
Chi Yue, "Just a regular friend."
Chu Shuo's eyes brightened as he extended his hand towards Chi Yue, "Chu Shuo, shall we become friends?"
Chi Yue reached out and gave a light handshake, "I have something else to do, I'll take my leave first. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness."
She cast a meaningful look at the bride before turning to leave.
Chu Shuo hesitated for a moment and caught up with her, "Let me walk you out."
Fu Rao watched Chi Yue's departing figure, almost bursting with anger, and despite the watching crowd, he couldn't restrain himself. He chased after her and pulled her into a resting room.
Bang~
The door shut, and Fu Rao cornered Chi Yue against it.
"You're here to cause a scene, aren't you?"
Chi Yue's smile remained unchanged, "Weren't you the one who invited me to the wedding?"
"Chi Yue, dressing up like this, are you here to provoke me, to make me regret not being tougher with you? It's not too late for me to be tough now!"
As her collar was torn open, revealing spots and marks, Fu Rao's eyes immediately reddened with anger, "What are these?"
Others might not know, but having been around women for so many years, how could Fu Rao fail to recognize what these were?
Chi Yue subtly readjusted her collar, "If I said I was gnawed on by a dog, would you believe me?"
Fu Rao was fuming to the point of smoke coming from his crown, "You wouldn't let me touch you, but the moment we break up, you go sleep with someone else. Are you looking down on me, Fu Rao, or just trying to disgust me on purpose?"
Chi Yue casually brushed off his hand, "Mr. Fu, we've already broken up, please have some self-respect."
Fu Rao squinted at her, his gaze turning increasingly sinister, "That man, who is he?"
