Chereads / Realm Walker Association / Chapter 20 - Nexus

Chapter 20 - Nexus

A series of texts floated in front of my eyes

In accordance with "Realm Walker Association."

Nexus Intialised

Proceed

Y/N

Finally, I couldn't help but let out a sigh. This thing was finally working. Every single Diver who ever transmigrates into a new world is usually equipped with a system-based interface directly from the Realm Walker Association called Nexus. Usually, Nexus was supposed to calibrate with the will of the world and assist its host in the moments after transmigrating.

Mine, for some reason, had taken a month to complete initialisation, getting stuck at 3% progress.

Wonder why that was the case? Even the longest recorded Nexus initialization was locked in at 78 hours; even then, it was because the world's tier had been too high.

Could this world be of a higher tier than I had imagined? I couldn't help but question.

Argh, whatever. The important thing was this thing had finally begun working.

Shaking my head, I hurriedly chose the Yes option.

Suddenly, the screen transformed.

I was instantly assaulted by a plethora of information. Taking a deep breath, I decided to go through it one by one.

First of all, what were those ??? after race, was I some kind of hybrid? Next up was the bloodline, why was it showing ??? again, and why was it's saturation so low.

One has to know that the Association wasn't just a single entity, but something that encompassed hundreds of thousands of worlds. Never in its long history had anyone ever heard or seen something the association and, subsequently, its Nexus didn't know.

How could this be? First, it was the month-long wait for this thing to boot up; now, it wasn't even showing up with full information. And that was without mentioning it couldnt even locate this world's location.

Maybe that's why they had left me its coordinates.

Lightly shaking my head, I focused on myself. It was no use going there; if the association itself didn't know, then it was meaningless to chase the reason behind all these abnormalities, especially right now.

Right now, my priority is to become stronger.

Still, looking at my statue, several things had started to become clear.

Bloodline Density- 1.6%

This has to be it. The thing they had tested me for after my birth. Whatever it was, this bloodline must belong to my father. That must be the reason why he had dropped his blood on the pearl.

And the reason behind my mother's disappointment.

The good thing was despite knowing nothing about this world's power system; I now had an idea about the direction I needed to go to increase my strength.

This bloodline thing must be super important for even a mother to lose interest in her child.

Making up my mind, I gave the Nexus a mental command.

Open shop.

The screen changed again, this time turning into something like an online shopping website. At once, it displayed different categories ranging from Battle Arts, Spell models, Cultivation Techniques, Personalised Systems, Items, and so on.

Find me something to increase my bloodline density. I gave another command. The screen once again began to shift. Right now, this thing was interacting with the world's will, analyzing my physical and metaphysical body to find the perfect techniques for me. It was doing all of that, and after all, despite having an endless amount of technique, it doesn't mean that everything would be compatible with you and your specific world.

Still, this was taking a lot of time. Grumbling to myself, I kept waiting, hoping to the Old Gods that this world was special and that I hadn't just been handed a broken version.

Soon, its search came to a stop, as it displayed its number of results.

ONE???

My eyes nearly popped out of my socket.

ONE? One measly technique? In the entirety of the multiverse, there was only one technique compatible with my body.

What was even more enraging was the thing's price.

38,000 credits? That was almost all my fortune.

I didn't know what to feel. This entire time, I was putting all my hopes into the Nexus. So, who cares if I have a poor talent or my body has a weak constitution? I can use my credits to make all those problems go away.

If I bought this thing, not only would I lose almost all of my credits, but I would also be helpless against every challenge I was previously planning to steamroll.

This was bad, I tried my best to calm myself. Lack of techniques and lack of credits. I needed to make a new plan about how to proceed with the future.

My heart began to slow down as I began to scrutinize my situation carefully.

Right now, my biggest problem is the lack of credits… I suppose I would need to hop into Astria and participate in games the first chance I get.

Second, my situation might not be as bad as I thought. I was born as a prince, after all. This place should be able to supply me with all kinds of high-class techniques I might need to become stronger. The only thing they couldn't seem to improve, based on their reactions, seemed to be my bloodline.

I clicked on the technique description and began reading its details. I needed to buy this technique, that much was clear.

Technique Name: Bloodline Resonance Art

Description: The cultivator must delve into the hidden memories of their bloodline, awakening ancient power within their veins. With each dive, their bloodline grows purer.

Cost- 38,000 credits

Of course, it was vague; I cursed again.

Still the description implied I would have to browse through my ancestor's memories. Can a bloodline contain someone's memories? Could it contain my memories.

Whatever it meant. This was the only thing available in the store, so I didn't have much of a choice except to buy it.

Mentally commanding, it clicked the buy button.

A prompt appeared asking if I was sure about my purchase, but I ignored it.

With a heavy heart, I saw my credits plummeting down from 46,530 to measly 8,530, hoping and praying it was worth its high price.
