Chapter 3 - Finally a warrior.

"My goodness"

"It's so big."

These where the reactions of marium, Sol's regular buyer when he saw Sol's big Jade.

"Sol you do not Know how much value this piece of Jade you have here is worth, If sold at the right place the could get you atleast Five coin, and by five coins I mean FIVE GOLD COINS, I reckon you'll could buy ten bottles of tranquil blood beer with that ~ hoho ho ~We've struck it big Sol, we've struck it big." Marium burst into Joyous laughter as he held the Jade the size of six palms.

"Then what are you waiting for? I've already given you the Jade, so give me the money."

Marium rubbed his scruffy beard as he replied hesitantly.

"But the thing is I've not got five gold on me right now."

Sol instantly snatched the Jade out of his hand after Marium said that

"That's okay, when you have six gold coins, you can come to me and buy the Jade." Sol said that

"SIX GOLD COINS, are you crazy, some warriors don't even have two gold coins talkless of six."

"Don't take me for a fool I know your hiding from me how much this Jade is really worth." Sol looked at him with a soulless gaze that could send a chill down anyone's spine.

He was really angry at Marium, he was messing with his path to immortality by wasting his time here, the sooner he became a warrior the more time he had to chase immortality.

Now normally waiting for a short period of time like this was nothing to Sol, given he spent seven years patiently saving up enough money to buy a Warrior Training manual,

But today was of a different case, he was so close to buying a warrior's training manual today, That was why he felt angry when Marium delayed it.

"When you are serious about buying the jade, contact me, but for now I'm done here."

Sol said to Marium in stern tone.

After that Sol walked out of the blacksmith's shop.

"Wait! Wait! Sol wait!"

Marium had come running after him.

"Marium, Do you have the gold now?"

"Uhh…not exactly,"

"Then we're done here."

Sol began to walk away from him again.

"Wait!"

Maruim grabbed sol's arm with an iron–tight grip.

'Huh? this strength?! He's a warrior.' Sol's eyes widened in suprise as he looked back at Maruim.

"I don't quite have enough gold, but I have something that would interest you much more."

At this point Sol's eyes were about to pop out of their socket from suprise,

In Maruim's hands lay two books with a silver rim at the edges, and engraved on the top of those books were the unique emblem of the Warrior's hall, Those book's were without a doubt, warrior training manuals.

'Mid–grade martial arts, I have to get them.'

Although Sol was undoubtedly eager to get the martial arts, he did not want to show Maruim his desire to get the training manuals — He had a feeling Marium would take advantage of him and milk him dry; just like how he did, when he increased the price of the jade because he saw how much Maruim wanted it.

"Get your hands off me or I'm not selling the Jade." Sol turned to face him, his sea blue eyes looking a bit threatening.

"Oh! Sorry I didn't know it was hurting you that badly, if only you were a warrior you could do the same to me." Maruim snickered.

"No need to subtly coerce me, I'll sell the Jade to you."

Sol rolled his eyes internally.

"Hehe ~ boy, I knew you'll bite, I knew you had it in ya ~ heheheh,"

"I'll sell the Jade to you but your price is still too low."

A hint of annoyance crept into Maruim's eyes.

"I can add one more gold but that's it don't get greedy."

The price of two mid–grade martial arts and one gold coin was excellent but,

Sol shook his head from side to side, that was not what he wanted.

"You–" Maruim said in astonishment as Sol knelt down on the ground.

"You can keep the gold coin, what I really want is to become your disciple."

"Why do you want to become my disciple?"

"You're clearly an important person given you have the channels to sell all the Flawless Ice Jade I bring here – That's not something the regular old blacksmith can do, at first I thought you just had really good backing but now I know it's because of your strength as a warrior, So my choice here is obvious, I might not get another chance like this, in this lifetime."

"But I belong to the blacksmithing hall of the city are you sure your okay with that?"

"It doesn't matter." Sol replied with a monotone voice.

"I see the eyes of a killer in you, I'm sure you would do better in the fighter's hall."

"It doesn't matter, I can be a fighter later in life." Sol replied unwavering in his intentions.

~ Sigh ~ sigh ~

Maruim looked up to the sky closed his eyes and took two deep breaths.

"Get up disciple"

"We have a long day ahead of us"

"Yes, master it is as you wish" A slight smile tugged at Sol's emotionless face as he stood up.

'The road may be long and shaky but I will forever remain determined.'

*Flip* *Flip* *Flip*

Those where the sounds the Martial arts book made as Sol flipped from page to page on it.

Sol was currently in the stock room of Maruim's blacksmithing store, reading the martial arts book that he gave him earlier, while waiting for night to come and the store to close.

He would be sleeping over tonight because Maruim promise him to teach the basics of being a warrior after his store closed down for the night.

"Meridians, Acupoint, Qi, blood ~ how mysterious," Sol muttered under his breath as he flipped over the last page of the book.

"Unexpectedly it took me the whole day to read the book."

Sol remarked as the final light from the sun shone through the glass windows.

"Sol, Sol." Maruim's voice resounded from inside the shop, nagging sol repeatedly to come over.

"No need to repeat my name, I'm coming."
