The bell rang, signaling the end of the break period. I looked down at Ai, who was still cradling my neck after our passionate kiss. Her cheeks were flushed, her lips slightly parted, and her breath soft against my chest.
"You want to rest, or should we head back to class?" I asked softly, brushing a strand of her hair from her face. My tone was calm, but I couldn't hide the worry in my expression.
Ai tilted her head, her eyes locking with mine. A small, teasing smile played on her lips. "I'm fine now," she said, her voice steady but affectionate. "Let's go."
I nodded, offering my hand to help her up. Together, we made our way to the classroom, where our friends waited for us with concern etched on their faces.
"Ai-chan!" Mayuri called out as we entered. "Are you alright now? What happened?"
Taro leaned over his desk, squinting at Ai. "Did Asahi say something dumb to make you faint?"
