"You will all enter the virtual world, within it, you will be sent to a map consisting of three large areas: Northwest is the desert, North East is the mountain, Lastly the entire south is the forest area."
Mr Oliver spoke, his voice ringing around the silent room.
It was the next day after the stat exams, the cadets were standing in a large room, each of them standing Infront of a pod.
"Cadets will be randomly sent out all throughout the map. Obviously, killing other cadets is permitted. But, it's not the only way to get eliminated. Monsters will also be roaming around, so beware—some of them are quite formidable. If you encounter them, avoid engagement. If they spot you, that's it; you're dead. Good luck to all of you."
The cadets then processed to enter the pods, and then the exam began.

William woke up lying on solid ground, feeling as if something was watching him.
'I just woke up!'
He slowly sat up and looked around, to find it was just a monkey looking at him, a very weird looking monkey. It had grey fur, an orange face, and bright red eyes. In its hands, it held a banana.
"The fuck are you looking at?"
William tried to shoo it away, and it did go away—but not before tossing the banana peel at him.
"Come back here you bastard!"
He tried chasing it, but he nearly fell from the place he was standing on.
"What am I standing on??"
William looked around and realized he was on a large tree branch, so high up that he could barely see the ground.
William started to ponder on how to get down. After thinking about it for a little bit, he decided to climb down.
He spent about 15 minutes climbing down, And after finally descending, he felt so tired to the point he fell to the ground and couldn't even stand up.
After catching his breath and resting for a bit, William got up and started roaming around.
"So, looks like I spawned in the south, but is it southeast or so—"
An arrow whistled through the air and struck him in his left shoulder.
William fell to his knees, and fell face first to the ground.

'I think I got him.'
Tony, a young aspiring archer in the Light Of Peace academy, had woken up around 30 minutes ago in the Battle Royale ranking exam. And a few minutes ago after walking around, he heard the sound of someone talking loudly. He started looking around for the sound, finding it and hiding after.
The source was a tall young man, probably the same age as tony. He had long black hair, which he tied in a ponytail. And although he was far away, he could see that he his eyes were shining bright red. Tony had to admit the guy was extremely attractive; he looked like a protagonist from those webtoons he used to read.
'lucky bastard.'
Tony actually recognize him, he was the guy who was always seen with the prodigy, Ethan White.
His name was William or something?
'But to walk around talking out loud in the middle of a forest where quite literally everything is out to get you, that's quite bold. He is either mad, or has some guts. Either way, he is dead.'
Tony, with a smirk, started to take aim, and
*Swoosh*
Shot at William, hitting him in the left side of his body.
'I think I got him.'
Tony got out of his hiding spot, and slowly made his way to where William was laying, presumably dead. All while keeping his bow aimed at him, waiting for any sign of movement.
All of Tony's focus was on William, so he didn't notice the obviously placed banana peal on the ground and stepped on it, And—
He didn't fall. Yet, Tony looked down to see what he stepped on.
'A Banana peal? No way he placed a banana peal to make me sli-'
*Bang**Bang*
William shot him two time, both in the head. Tony disintegrated into sparks, and his bow fell to the ground.
"Why the hell didn't he fall?!"
William was seriously pissed.
"Well, At least he got distracted by it"
He got up and removed the arrow that hit him. And he also picked up the bow on the ground and an arrow, then attempted to shoot the bow, failing miserably.
"This is quite hard, I wonder what using a sword is like."
Normally, William would be bleeding profusely from his shoulder, but in this exam, all injuries healed immediately, if you weren't In a fight.
He then continued in his roaming, but this time quietly.
***
William kept walking around for a few hours, occasionally finding a weak monster and killing, but not anything dangerous.
At least until now.
He stood, holding his gun and aiming at another cadet, who was wielding a sword. The cadet was slightly shorter than William but much broader—which wasn't much of an achievement since because William was shaped like a stick.
They were both waiting for the other to make the first move, and they kept waiting, and waiting, till—
*Bang*
William took the initiative, to which the boy responded by swinging his sword and cutting the bullet in half. Then the boy started charging torwards William.
*Bang**Bang*
William shot again, but the boy managed to dodge and continued his charge.
'Shit.'
The boy finally reached William, and swung the sword torwards the left side of William's body. William then dodged by jumping back while aiming the gun and shooting the boy at point blank range, yet, the boy somehow evaded, jumping to and rolling on the ground, a few feet away from William.
'How did he dodge that?!'
William was flabbergasted. It was so close for the boy to evade—yet he did.
Now, the scene from earlier repeated itself: William pointing the gun at the boy, and the boy holding his sword while focusing on William.
William started again by shooting a bullet at the boy, and the boy cut the bullet again, and started charging torwards William again, but this time, something strange happened.
While the boy was halfway torwards William, a black blur moved torwards the boy at insane speeds—which William only noticed due to his abnormal perception.
And tore the boy in half.
'Fast!'
The boy turned into sparks, and William started frantically looking around, trying to look for that black creature.
And he found that it was circling around him, so he tried shooting it.
*Bang**Bang*
'It's faster than the bullets! What do I do!?'
William then decided to do something strange.
He took a deep breath and put his gun down, sitting on the ground, and closing his eyes.
