I was lying on the ground, struggling to breath.
"Way to go bud, you finally finished the training!"
Oliver said, with an annoying smile plastered on his face. He had just put me through a 'special training session' as this was the last one to end our two year training.
"Sir, I want to ask you a question."
I asked, after resting for a bit.
"Sure, go ahead!"
"Can you actually explain how this space works?"
Oliver had a thoughtful expression on his face, then he started explaining.
"Well, this is basically a skill I created, it is a subspace that I could bring any number of people in, as long as I have contact with them. A year in here is equivalent to a week in the real world. In the outside world, your body acts exactly like you would if you were there. And as soon as you return, memories of all that happened will go into your mind.
How that works, I will not explain as it would take hours, and you will understand nothing."
Honestly, I was confused. How could this be a skill? It's too overpowered! And how does Oliver have it?
I mean, he has to be strong to be an instructor in this academy, but he is too strong. Even way stronger than he was supposed to be in the novel!
But before I could continue with my inner rambling Oliver spoke.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure, go ahead!"
I mocked the way he had responded to me, to which we both laughed. Then Oliver's face turned serious as he asked
"Who the hell are you?"
Suddenly, I felt chills all over my body, as Oliver's killing intent assaulted me like a huge wave.
"W-What do y-you mea—"
"Don't act stupid, you know what I mean."
I felt immense pleasure weigh down on me, I could barely breathe, let alone speak.
"I have always found the study of Mana very interesting, and I have a skill which allows me to see the construction of it.
Everyone has Mana inside of them, the body absorbs the Mana in the air and reconstructs it in a unique way so it could use it, everybody has a unique construction inside them, the higher your talent the more effective the construction is.
According to my studies, me and my team have designed a perfect construction of Mana, we call it 'Source Mana' or 'Pure Mana', the closest construction to the perfect Mana we found is the Mana in the air.
But you, your body doesn't absorb the Mana, it leaks the Mana. Your Mana is the 'Source Mana', you supply the world with it, the air takes it, reconstructs it, and others absorb it.
We have always assumed that said Mana will be a God's Mana, or a world tree or something. But you are no god, nor are you a tree"
His killing intent stopped as he raised one eyebrow.
"Are you a tree?"
Honestly, I was very confused. He seemed to understand that I am not from this world, but he doesn't know that this world isn't real.
"*Cough* No, I a-am no tree."
My body was still recovering from the pressure so I couldn't speak probably.
"Then what are you?"
"I don't know, I am just a nor-"
"Say another lie, and I will decapitate you on the spot."
'How the hell did he know I was lying? And that expression on his face, he is 100% serious about killing me!'
Then my body started acting on it's own.
"My name is William, I come not from this world, but from another, on a planet named earth. I was sent here for an awakening challenge, I don't know how."
My words seemed to intrigue Oliver.
"Another world, huh? I should have used this skill sooner!"
He chuckled.
"So that 'Challenge' of yours, what is it?"
"It is to... End this world."
My heart dropped when I said this. Oliver seemed to be using a skill that made me speak forcefully.
But despite my fears, Oliver didn't seem to care much about what I said, at least visually.
"What do you know about this world?"
Oliver asked.
"I know that this world is a novel that I read, and I have been sent here by the 'parasite' to complete the challenge."
This time, I responded willingly, there was nothing more to hide anyways.
Oliver's lips slightly curled upwards as he said.
"You know that this world isn't real, right?"
I was dumbfounded again, for the god knows how many times now today, and it seemingly showed on my face, as Oliver started laughing.
"You should look at your face!"
He said between laughter.
"What do you mean this isn't real."
"Most people won't realize this, but I am not most people. This world, it isn't real. It started as soon as you've arrived here. Which I guess was the first day of the academy, the day you arrived late?"
"Yeah, but how did you realize."
Oliver looked at me for a while.
"I have pretty good memory, so when I try to remember stuff before you came, it seems hazy, almost fabricated. But after, it feels real."
"That's it?"
"Yeah."
'How the hell did he come to this conclusion from just that. And he looks 100% convinced about it!'
"So how will you go about ending the world?"
Although hesitant, I answered his question, as he could force it out of me anyways.
"As I already told you, this world is originally a novel, at it's end, a demon king is supposed to come and end the world, only the protagonist can prevent it."
"So let me guess, you are going to kill the protagonist, who is Ethan."
After staying silent for a bit I answered.
"Yeah, that's the plan."
"Oof, befriending the poor guy just to stab him in the back, you are such a bastard."
Oliver chuckled.
"But now, you are stuck, as he is much stronger than you, and even in the future will be much stronger than you, and you can't even surprise attack him, because he has psychic powers."
Once again, I was dumbfounded.
'How the hell does he know about the psychic powers???'
Oliver, seemingly has guessed my thoughts, chuckled.
"Don't worry, kid. I know everything.
Anyways, to that psychic problem, I have a solution."
Hope started to arise in my heart, and also fear, for not knowing what he would ask for the solution.
"What is it?"
"Well, I happen to have stumbled upon this necklace."
He took a necklace out of thin air.
"It prevents it's wearer from being seen on psychic related powers, as in if someone sees the future, he wouldn't see what you would do, as long as you wear it."
Excitement arose In my heart, this was an exciting opportunity, so there is no way I could miss out on this!
"And what do I have to do for this?"
"For this? Well, absolutely nothing!"
'Huh?'
"Huh?"
Oliver laughed.
"Well, you are my student, something like a disciple of mine, so it's my duty to make sure you survive!"
I was nearly moved to tears. Is this man or angel?
"Oh my dear, dear teacher, thank you! Thank you!"
Looking extremely prideful, and putting his hands on his hips, Oliver started laughing a prideful laughter.
"No problem, no problem!"

The world turned black.
A/N:
Surprised?
Well, probably not. In my mind, this was such a good plot twist, and a good introduction to the novel, I still stand by what I think, but I also now think I executed it terribly, so... Sucks I guess.
Also Oliver used the killing intent to achieve the three requirements needed for his skill which made William tell the truth.
1- Target feels intense fear.
2- Target stays silent for a set amount of time, hence the long useless speech.
3- Target lies, at least once.
That's it, time for the story, hope it doesn't disappoint.
Also sorry if you thought this was going to be an academy novel.
