Chapter 6 - Boruto the Akatsuki: In Search of Power 6

The days off from the academy had come to an end. Boruto could be seen leaving his house, walking towards the academy with apparent calm, although his thoughts were focused on his beloved sister.

"Apparently, she doesn't want to see me since last night. This morning she didn't even show me her face like she used to. But hey, that doesn't change the fact that she's my sister, and I'll protect her. I guess the old man and my aunt will use her as my anchor... hahaha, how fun!" Boruto snapped out of his thoughts and, before reaching the academy, he detoured into a dark alley.

Making a seal with his hands, he created a clone. "It's time," Boruto said seriously. The clone nodded, quickly changed his clothes, and leapt towards the academy, while the real Boruto disappeared in a yellow flash.

A moment later, he appeared in the abandoned factory he had turned into his lair. Looking at the walls marked with seals and the weapons scattered everywhere, he muttered to himself, "Today is training day. I've been feeling like I've reached a limit in my progress, like my body has no more potential left to exploit... but that won't stop me. It's time to push past those limits."

With relentless determination, Boruto prepared for his training, knowing that each day he was getting closer to his goal of becoming the strongest, no matter the cost.

Back with the Boruto clone, we see him approaching the academy. Shikadai and Mitsuki were waiting for him at the entrance, and Boruto, noticing their absence, thought: "Denki isn't here today, I guess he's with Iwabe." With a carefree smile, Boruto approached the two who were waiting for him and spoke to them:

— Hello, Shikadai! Hello, Mitsuki! How have these past two days been?

— Hello, Boruto! — Mitsuki and Shikadai answered in unison.

Mitsuki was the first to speak next:

— I spent my time looking at the moon — he said with a calm smile on his face.

Shikadai and Boruto looked at each other, both with small stripes in their eyes.

— Well, let's head towards the academy while we talk, — Shikadai suggested, feeling that they should keep the conversation moving.

Boruto and Mitsuki nodded, and began walking together towards their classroom.

—And you, Shikadai? What did you do during these two days of rest? — Boruto asked, his genuine curiosity shining through his voice.

Shikadai shrugged, replying in his usual lazy tone:

— Well, not much. I played shogi with my dad.

Boruto's eyes lit up with even more curiosity.

—Are you good at that game? — he asked, now with deeper interest.

Shikadai, without much emotion, replied:

— I can't say I'm bad... but I'm not an expert either.

Boruto, still glancing at him as they walked, asked another question:

—And do you know how to play chess?

Shikadai looked at him with a glint of interest.

— Well, chess is similar to shogi, so I just need to look at the rules a little and I'll be able to play — he replied, scratching his head.

Boruto smiled at the idea and proposed:

—Do you want to play when we have a break from work experience?

Shikadai nodded with a shrug.

— Sure, why not?

— Perfect! — Boruto exclaimed, and Mitsuki, who had been listening silently, joined the conversation:

— I want to play too.

Boruto looked at him with amusement and, nodding, replied:

— Well, then it is already planned.

As they were chatting, they reached the classroom and opened the door. Inside, their classmates greeted them happily.

— Hello, Shikadai! Hello, Mitsuki! Hello, Boruto! — voices echoed through the room, and students gathered around them.

Among all those voices, one stood out.

—Hey, Boruto! — Inojin said, approaching.

Boruto looked at him and smiled.

— Hey, Inojin! Looks like you trust me already, huh? — Boruto joked, laughing in amusement.

Inojin smiled back, showing some confidence.

— Well, you're a celebrity in the class. I trust you. Plus, I want to make more friends — he said, extending his hand to shake Boruto's.

Boruto, accepting the gesture, returned the handshake with a smile.

— We should spend more time together, don't you think, Inojin? — Boruto suggested, his tone warm and friendly.

Inojin nodded, responding with an air of amusement and joy.

— Whatever you say, Boruto.

The conversation flowed naturally, as the atmosphere in the classroom was filled with positive energy. His classmates, seeing the camaraderie between Boruto and Inojin, began to join in the conversation, sharing their own experiences of the days off.

— Hey , Boruto! — Iwabe exclaimed, approaching with a smile. — I was training with Denki yesterday. I hope you're ready, Boruto! I'm going to beat you today.

— Hahaha! — Boruto laughed and replied enthusiastically — Are you sure, Iwabe? And how is Denki? He told me he would be studying with you.

Iwabe nodded and said:

— Denki has a lot of potential, he just needs a little confidence. Besides, I already passed the test you mentioned. I hope you're ready for the rematch.

— Whenever you want, Iwabe — Boruto replied, smiling.

Mitsuki, ever observant, added:

— It's good to see everyone working hard to improve. A ninja's true strength is how he supports his teammates.

Mitsuki's words echoed through the class, and everyone fell into a moment of reflection. It was clear that friendship and cooperation were core values they were learning together.

Shikadai, who had been listening silently, finally spoke:

— Mitsuki is right. On the battlefield, it is not only important to be strong individually, but also to know when to rely on others.

— Exactly — Inojin added, looking at Boruto. — And Boruto, you are a natural leader. You inspire us all to be better.

Boruto, feeling the weight of his friends' words, smiled humbly.

— Thanks, guys. But I'm nothing without you. We learn and grow together.

As Boruto received the praise, Sarada glared at him, remembering what he had said to her a few days ago. Apparently, Boruto didn't seem to be affected by it.

— Sarada, don't be angry — Chocho said softly —. One day we will get our revenge. I can't forget what Boruto told me.

Sumire watched them with concern, wondering what Boruto had done to provoke such a reaction.

__ At that moment, the classroom door opened and Sensei Shino entered, marking the start of a new day of classes.

— Today, before we start our work experience, we have a special class — Shino announced in his usual calm tone — I have invited an experienced sensei in this area to give us a lesson. Everyone to the free training camp.

The students began to murmur, intrigued by what the class would be about, and followed their teacher towards the training ground. Upon arriving, they saw a shinobi in a Chunin uniform with a large scroll on his back, waiting for them.

—Hey, Konohamaru-ni-san! — Boruto exclaimed with amusement — So you're going to teach today's class.

— That's right, Boruto. Now, get with your companions — Konohamaru replied, smiling.

The students lined up expectantly as Shino took the floor.

— Before we begin, I want to explain what exactly a summoning is — Shino said, catching everyone's attention — The Summoning Technique is a space-time technique that allows objects, animals, or even people to be brought from a distant place to the point where the summoner is located. To perform a summoning, it is necessary to establish a prior contract with the entity that one wishes to summon, using blood as a means of connection.

The students listened attentively as Shino continued:

— The level of control and the type of entity that can be summoned depends on the summoner's chakra and the relationship that has been established with the summoned creature or object. Today, we will not be looking at complex summons, but rather focusing on learning how to summon basic weapons. It is an essential skill for any ninja, as it allows them to access their arsenal at any time, no matter the circumstances.

Shino paused, making sure everyone understood.

— Konohamaru, it's your turn to show how a summon is performed.

Konohamaru nodded, biting his thumb to make a cut and quickly forming a series of hand seals. Then, he slammed his palm on the ground and exclaimed:

— Kuchiyose no Jutsu! (Summoning Jutsu).

In a great puff of smoke, a huge toad appeared, imposing and ready for combat.

— Amazing! As expected from the Third Hokage's grandson — Shino commented, walking towards the toad.

The students were amazed, and applause rang out among them, impressed by Konohamaru's demonstration.

— As you've seen, this is an advanced summoning, but today you'll be focusing on summoning weapons. Although it may seem simple, mastering this technique requires a lot of practice and chakra control — Shino continued —. Now, it's your turn. Follow Konohamaru's example and try to summon a weapon using these scrolls.

Shino handed out scrolls to the students, showing them how to activate the seals with their chakra. However, the conversations in class began to divert some of their attention.

— I think summoning something cute would be best — Namida commented — I wouldn't be able to touch something slimy.

— Yeah, I don't think that's your thing — Wasabi replied with a smile.

—Summoning a toad is kind of gross — Chocho added, grimacing.

Konohamaru intervened:

— Not only can amphibians be summoned, there are other types of animals as well. The Third Hokage could summon monkeys, and the Sixth Hokage could summon dogs.

— I would like to summon a snake — Boruto said with interest.

— I prefer a spider — Shikadai commented, with a lazy smile.

— I want to summon a scorpion — said Denki, but then he fell into thought, imagining what his summoning would be like.

— Men always look like children — Chocho commented, crossing her arms as she looked at the boys with a smile. — It's better to summon something cute.

The girls nodded, sharing their ideas on what kind of summon would be best. Sumire suggested a cat would be perfect, while Wasabi imagined small, adorable creatures.

— A cat would be perfect, — Namida said, her tone dreamy. — Something cute to keep you company.

Iwabe, raising his voice, interrupted their conversations:

— Summons aren't pets. Looks don't matter, what matters is whether they're strong, isn't that right, Boruto?

Boruto nodded, supporting Iwabe's opinion.

— Summoning something intelligent is better these days — Chocho added, adopting a proud pose, as if she had already made the right decision.

— This is said by someone who is... — Inojin began, but before he could finish, Chocho quickly approached him and said with a challenging look:

— Yes, I'm fat, but I have smart moves. Something you wouldn't be able to understand.

Boruto let out a laugh, his laughter echoing throughout the classroom.

— What are you laughing at, Boruto? — Chocho asked, with a raised eyebrow.

— Nothing, nothing. I was just imagining what could happen if we summoned something really big and dangerous — Boruto replied, still smiling.

Without paying too much attention to the girls, Boruto gathered the boys and said excitedly:

— What if we summon a huge animal? Something that can protect us all? — His face showed amusement, ignoring the girls' comments. The boys, infected by his enthusiasm, nodded at each word.

"That sounds amazing," Iwabe said, slamming his fist into his palm.

—But it would also be difficult to control — added Shikadai, always practical in his observations.

— That's the challenge! — Boruto exclaimed, excited.

Sarada, who had been listening to the conversation from the other side of the classroom, couldn't help but intervene:

— Stop talking nonsense! It's your fault they call us the problem class.

"I don't do stupid things," Boruto replied with feigned seriousness.

— Mmm , you do stupid things every day, Boruto. That's why the other classes avoid us.

— It's their fault, they're jealous. But you, why do you fight with us? After all, you should be on our side — Boruto replied with amusement, approaching Sarada.

Mitsuki and Shikadai covered their mouths, remembering what had happened in the cafeteria and the previous discussions.

— What did you say? — Sarada angrily stepped closer to Boruto — Say it again, you fool!

— I'm not a fool. You're the fool! Do you want me to repeat it? I'll repeat it for everyone to hear — Boruto shrugged his shoulders with a mischievous smile, looking away.

— Watch out! — Shikadai suddenly shouted, anticipating what was coming.

Boruto jumped back, dodging what seemed to be an attack. Sarada had thrown a punch out of frustration, but Boruto dodged it with ease.

— That won't happen again — Boruto said confidently, provoking Sarada further.

Sarada glared at him, clenching her fists.

— Why don't you repeat it, you idiot? Can't you?

— So you want to fight? Fine, let's fight — Boruto adopted a combat stance, while Sarada did the same. Both of them launched themselves at each other, but just before they collided, they were stopped.

Shino held Sarada firmly, while Konohamaru held Boruto by the arm. Both tried to get away, but their senseis ' grips were firm and there was no way to break free.

The other students watched in surprise, murmuring amongst themselves and watching the scene with caution. There was a mixture of tension and anticipation in the air.

—Both of you, stop fighting! — Shino ordered seriously, his voice echoing in the classroom. —You're in class, behave like ninjas.

— Calm down, Sarada — Shino added, letting go of her when he saw that she was calming down. Konohamaru also released Boruto, who walked away, frowning, but without further incident.

— Boruto, Sarada, you are part of the same team. You have to learn to work together — Konohamaru said in a firm but understanding tone.

Boruto and Sarada looked at each other with disdain, but didn't say anything else.

— Good, now start summoning tools — Shino said, taking back control of the class. As he spoke, he pulled out a scroll and spread it out on the floor. — Summoning is an advanced technique that requires concentration and chakra. Today we will only be learning how to summon basic tools, but it is an essential first step. Pay attention to the seals and the amount of chakra you use.

Moments later, the entire class was focused on summoning ninja tools, concentrating on the task at hand. The sound of scrolls unrolling and the murmur of students filled the training ground.

Mitsuki, watching the others, summoned a kunai with ease, while Denki, after several failed attempts, managed to summon a small dagger. The excitement on their faces was evident, reflecting the satisfaction of having achieved the technique.

— This is just the beginning — Konohamaru said, as he observed his students' progress. — In time, they will be able to summon greater and more powerful things. But it all starts with practice.

The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and determination as the students continued to practice. Although there were still rivalries and disagreements, today's class reminded them of the importance of working together and supporting each other on their path to becoming stronger ninjas.

After an hour, class was over, and Shino addressed his students in his usual calm and precise tone.

— Well, it's time for you to go on your work experience. — he said, concluding the lesson.

The students began to walk towards their assigned spots for the day, while Konohamaru and Shino remained in place, watching as the students walked away. Once everyone had left, the two began to walk towards the teachers' lounge, leaving the bustle of the training ground behind.

— Boruto and Sarada... — Shino began, breaking the silence as they walked down the hallway. — It seems that rivalry only keeps growing.

— Yes, they are definitely like water and oil, — Konohamaru replied, with a smile that denoted both concern and pride. — But that tension is also pushing them to be better. It's always been like that between classmates, although sometimes I wish it wasn't so intense.

They arrived at the staff room, where Shino headed to the small kitchen to make tea. As she did so, she looked at Konohamaru seriously.

— Rivalry can be a great motivation, but it can also be dangerous if not handled carefully. I remember what happened with Naruto and Sasuke back in the day. — Shino poured tea and offered a cup to Konohamaru.

— I know, — Konohamaru agreed, taking the cup and nodding his thanks. — But Boruto is not like Naruto, and Sarada is not like Sasuke. They have their own goals and reasons for competing, but they also have us to guide them.

They both sat in silence for a moment, letting the aroma of tea fill the room.

— Sometimes I wonder what it will be like when they grow up, — Shino continued. — If this rivalry will develop into a deeper friendship, or if it will remain a constant source of challenges between them.

Konohamaru took a sip of his tea before answering.

— I think that, over time, they will learn to value competition as a tool to improve themselves and not just to prove who is better. But in the meantime, our job is to make sure that they understand that being a ninja is not just about being strong individually, but knowing how to work as a team.

Shino nodded, sharing his partner's concern.

— You're right. A ninja's true strength lies in the balance between individual skills and cooperation with his comrades.

After a brief silence, Konohamaru smiled.

— Either way, it will be interesting to see how they develop. I'm sure they will give us more than one scare, but they will also surprise us in ways we can't even imagine.

—I agree, — Shino concluded, raising his cup in approval.

The two senseis shared a knowing look before continuing to talk about the other students and the possible dynamics that would develop in the coming days. They knew that the rivalry between Boruto and Sarada was just one piece in the complex puzzle of being teachers at the ninja academy, and they were prepared for whatever came next.

Here is the adjusted text with the final sentence added:

Boruto walked with Shikadai and Mitsuki towards their work experience place, a frustrated expression evident on his face.

—That Sarada... she's still angry, you know? Damn it, I want to smash her Uchiha face into the ground —Boruto muttered, clenching his fists.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Sarada and Chōchō were walking together, discussing recent events.

—Boruto is an idiot. He always makes things more complicated than they should be —Sarada frowned, clearly annoyed.

Shikadai sighed, remaining calm as always.

—Boruto, you should calm down. Fighting won't solve anything.

Chōchō , always direct, answered Sarada.

—Well, you know how guys are. Sometimes they don't think before they act.

Mitsuki, always curious, intervened in Boruto's conversation.

—Why do you hate her so much, Boruto?

—I don't hate her, I just don't like her. She's always been like that, thinking she's better than everyone else when she's really not. That's all —Boruto finished speaking, not hiding his annoyance.

Chōchō 's words , but the frustration did not disappear from her face.

—He thinks he can challenge me just because he's stubborn and headstrong. He's always underestimated me.

Shikadai raised an eyebrow, curious.

—But you two... aren't you childhood friends?

Chōchō continued to encourage Sarada.

—It's just Boruto being Boruto. You shouldn't let it affect you so much. You know you can get over it.

Boruto shrugged.

—Well, we only saw each other a couple of times, it wasn't a big deal. Plus, he was always following Sakura around like a shadow.

Sarada sighed, trying to release some of the tension she felt.

"I can't keep thinking about him. But one of these days, I'm going to rub his smug face in the dirt," Sarada said, her determination reflecting her desire to prove herself.

Shikadai smiled slightly.

—So, actually, it's not so much hate as… resentment?

Boruto snorted, trying to hide his true reaction.

—It doesn't matter! I can't keep thinking about her. But one of these days, I'll rub her Uchiha face against the ground —Boruto said with determination.

Unbeknownst to them, they were thinking the same way.

__ After walking for quite a while, Boruto finally arrived at his assigned workplace: the postal service. He thought to himself that this would be the perfect setting to gather information as he went around the city without raising suspicion. The place was clearly marked by a large sign that read "Konoha Mail."

A figure waited at the entrance, a middle-aged person with a friendly and professional demeanor, ready to welcome the new recruits. The person introduced himself with a warm smile.

— My name is Tayori Kuroyagi — he said, bowing slightly. — I will be your tutor today. I hope you will take care of me and that we will work well together.

Boruto, Mitsuki, and Shikadai showed up in response.

— My name is Boruto, and this is Shikadai and Mitsuki. We are here to learn and we expect you to take care of us — Boruto said with a respectful attitude.

Tayori nodded in approval and said:

— All right, come in. I'll explain everything you need to know.

He opened the door to the building, and the three boys followed him in. Upon entering, they found themselves in a large space filled with shelves packed with packages and letters of various sizes. The place was in complete disarray, with packages piled up to the ceiling and boxes crammed into the corners.

— This is the package receiving and sorting area — Tayori explained as she pointed at the shelves. — This is where we receive all the packages and letters.

Boruto looked at the place with curiosity and asked:

— So, we just have to deliver these packages, right?

Tayori nodded, but added:

— Well, yes, but there is something else. You must be extremely careful with the organization and handling of the packages. This place is crucial to the functioning of the village. Packages must arrive at their destination in perfect condition, so organization is key.

As Tayori spoke, footsteps were heard approaching and a firm voice echoed through the hallway:

— Line up your bands well.

Tayori straightened up with a formal posture and saluted:

— Good morning, Mr. Komame.

The man who approached was quite short and had an imposing presence. Boruto looked at him and thought, "Wow, he's so short."

— The bands on your right arm represent our role in the mail — Komame explained, pointing at the red bands with the word "Mail" that Boruto and Shikadai wore. — And take care of those nails. Remember that you are handling our customers' packages. The key here is organization. The mail is the bond that holds the village together, so I hope you understand that.

Shikadai, in his usual relaxed tone, commented:

— We're just here to get some experience for the academy, not to become professional mailmen.

Komame smiled slightly and said:

— I know, and if I'm honest, I have some experience in ninjutsu as well.

Mitsuki, curious, asked his companions:

— What is Mr. Komame doing?

Shikadai replied in a low voice:

— Let's not ask any questions for now. Let's focus on delivering the packages.

Tayori handed them backpacks and instructed them to pick up some packages and letters from the shelves. The boys followed Tayori as he gave them instructions on how to make the deliveries. They left the building and began their task: delivering and collecting letters from mailboxes in different parts of the city.

As they moved forward, Boruto, Mitsuki, and Shikadai took care of the letters and packages, while Tayori was in charge of delivering the packages directly to the residents. Most people seemed happy to receive their deliveries and thanked Tayori profusely.

The group walked up a hill, reaching the most remote houses in Konoha. Tayori rang the doorbell of one of the houses, and a young girl in a pink kimono appeared at the door.

— Sorry to make you come all the way here — the young woman said, smiling.

— You don't have to worry — Tayori replied with a smile. — I'm here to deliver your package. Could you please sign here?

— Thank you for bringing the package, it was just what I needed — said the young woman, taking the package and returning inside her house.

Tayori and the boys turned around and continued their journey. After a few minutes, they came to a bridge that crossed a part of Konoha. Tayori stopped at a public bench and sat down, taking out a fizzy drink from her backpack.

— I like seeing people happy. That's what I like about my job — Tayori said, taking a sip of her drink. — Seeing the satisfaction on people's faces when they receive their packages makes all the effort worth it.

As Shikadai and Mitsuki continued to converse with Tayori, Boruto walked away, following a set of stairs that led to a street below. At the end of the street, a group of people were gathered around a newly opened store. A large sign advertised the event, and in the center of the scene, the Seventh Hokage was cutting an opening ribbon with a pair of golden scissors.

—All thanks to the Seventh Hokage for helping us fulfill this dream! — a voice echoed from the crowd.

Boruto watched intently, not thinking much about what he saw. Suddenly, he felt a familiar gaze and realized that his father, Naruto, was at the scene. Naruto looked up slightly, recognizing his son and thinking, "It's Boruto. I'll go say hello to him."

Boruto noticed his father's presence and quickly turned around to avoid the encounter. However, Naruto had already disappeared in a chunsin *note blink* and appeared next to Boruto with a smile.

— Hello, Boruto. Your mother told me that you would be working as a mailman — Naruto greeted with a friendly expression.

Boruto glanced at him and replied:

— Well, it looks like you're working too.

Naruto adjusted his Hokage mantle with a proud smile.

— It's the job — Naruto replied. — I am the Hokage after all. But I find it amazing what a postman does: he travels all over the village delivering letters and keeping everyone connected.

Naruto walked over to Boruto and stroked his hair, but Boruto pushed his hand away with an impatient gesture.

— Did anyone tell you that? — Boruto inquired.

Naruto laughed with a mix of embarrassment and amusement.

— You figured it out — he admitted, with a smile.

Tayori, surprised by the encounter, bowed respectfully and said:

— Seventh Hokage...

Naruto turned to Tayori and said seriously:

— Yes, I am the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. I hope you can take good care of my son. He can be a bit difficult at times.

Tayori stood firm, visibly nervous, and replied:

— Sure, I'll do everything I can to take care of him.

Naruto nodded in satisfaction.

"Okay, cheer up," Naruto said before disappearing in a smokescreen.

Tayori looked at Boruto, Mitsuki and Shikadai, still in awe.

— Your father is the Hokage... this is the first time I've talked to him — Tayori commented, looking at Boruto and his companions.

Boruto turned to his friends and said:

— Come on, split up and let's deliver these packages before nightfall.

Shikadai and Mitsuki nodded and began jumping from building to building, while Boruto headed towards his next destination.

Elsewhere in the village, Inojin was working with Metal Lee, who had a distinctive appearance in his green spandex suit , orange leg warmers, and matching scarf. Metal Lee was nervous, trying to control the water hose while putting out a fire with the firemen. The situation didn't seem to be under control, with water spraying everywhere.

— Inojin, this doesn't seem like a good idea — Inojin commented, worried about the lack of control.

Meanwhile, in a different corner of Konoha, Denki and Iwabe were at the gunpowder depot, working on preparing explosives.

— You have to handle the gunpowder carefully so that it doesn't explode — said one of the managers, showing a serious attitude.

Iwabe, with an unconvinced tone, replied:

— Seriously, we just have to prepare them as smoke bombs — as a yellow glow began to appear on the gunpowder.

Denki was startled by the glow and looked worriedly at the fireworks already lighting up in the distance.

Shikadai stood on top of a house, watching the scene carefully. Meanwhile, Boruto ran over the rooftops and passed under them with great agility. On the ground, Sarada and Chōchō watched him as he jumped.

— We can't stay behind — Sarada said, determinedly.

Together, Sarada and Chōchō headed to the beauty salon to continue their duties.

After running, jumping, and delivering letters quickly and efficiently, Boruto and his friends arrived at the water tank company. Upon reaching the huge door, a person approached them.

— I'm the postman — Boruto said, delivering some letters.

A familiar voice answered from inside:

— What are you doing here, Boruto?

Boruto looked at Namida and smiled.

— So you chose the water tank for your work experience, huh? It doesn't sound very exciting — Boruto said, approaching Sumire, Wasabi, and Namida.

Sumire, with a smile, replied:

— It's not that bad.

But Wasabi, with an expression of resignation, added:

— Well, it's a bit boring.

Sumire, visibly scared from having convinced her friends to come here, said:

— Don't worry, Sumire. I'm fine.

— Well, girls, I have to go. I hope you finish your homework soon — Boruto said, saying goodbye and leaving.

Back with Tayori, Boruto informed him that he had finished his work.

— I'm done — Boruto said.

Shikadai arrived shortly after and said the same thing, and later, Mitsuki joined them.

— I'm done too — Mitsuki said, while Boruto and Shikadai listened with interest.

Mitsuki, with a curious expression, commented:

— I wanted to tell you, Boruto, that it seems that the Ghost has appeared on the other side of Konoha.

Boruto and Shikadai were shocked to hear this.

— Are we going? — Shikadai asked.

Boruto thought for a moment and replied:

— It's too far. If we wanted to go, it would take too long. Although my real self could go with the Hiraishin.

Boruto then turned to Shikadai and proposed:

— Do you want to play a game of chess?

Shikadai, with a mix of curiosity and surprise, nodded, but wondered in his mind why Boruto always got into trouble.

Boruto spoke to Tayori and informed him that they would be taking a break and heading to a nearby park. They handed their backpacks and headbands to Tayori, and Boruto turned to his friends as they walked towards the park, ready to relax and enjoy a well-deserved break.

After arriving at the park, Boruto sat down at a table and pulled out a chess set, which he made appear with a wave of his hand, surrounded by smoke. Mitsuki and Shikadai looked at the board in surprise.

"Do you carry that everywhere?" Shikadai asked curiously.

Boruto nodded with a confident smile and replied:

— Yes, it is always good to be prepared. And now, let's play. I'm excited; they say that the Nara are the smartest. I want to see how far they can go.

Mitsuki sat down on a chair next to the table, ready to watch the game. Shikadai sat down opposite Boruto and commented:

— Well, that's what they say, but I wonder if you'll really be able to surpass the level of the Nara.

Boruto smiled, clearly excited by the challenge.

— Come on, I'll pick the black pieces — Boruto said, moving a piece on the board as Shikadai nodded.

The two began the match, with palpable tension in the air. Boruto and Shikadai faced off in a mental battle of strategic moves and refined tactics. The game progressed slowly, with both players thoughtful and calculating each move with precision. The match was difficult and it was noticeable in the players' concentration.

Shikadai made a bold move, moving his rook decisively. Boruto watched intently, and after a moment of reflection, responded with an equally strategic maneuver, bringing his queen into a key defensive position.

— I won't make it easy for you, Boruto — Shikadai said, with a defiant smile as he analyzed the board.

— I know — Boruto replied, his eyes fixed on the board as he moved his pieces with precision. — I'm enjoying the challenge.

The match continued with complex moves and surprising tactics. Mitsuki watched in fascination, noting the skill of both players and the intensity of the competition. The park, with its tranquility, contrasted with the tension of the game between Boruto and Shikadai.

After a long series of moves and strategies, a critical point was finally reached. The game was in a technical draw situation, with both players almost out of pieces and each on the verge of checkmating the other.

— Looks like we're evenly matched — Shikadai commented, with a mix of admiration and exhaustion.

Boruto nodded, sweating slightly in concentration.

— Yes, it was definitely an interesting game. Next time, I hope I can beat you.

Finally, Shikadai made a move that left Boruto in a difficult position. Although Boruto tried several moves to reverse the situation, he couldn't avoid the inevitable checkmate.

— Good game — Boruto said, extending his hand for a friendly handshake. — You have been a worthy opponent.

Shikadai accepted the handshake with a smile.

— Likewise, Boruto. You're very good at this.

Mitsuki, who had been watching the entire match with interest, stood up and commented:

— Well, it looks like the game is over. But I'm glad to see you both had fun.

With a satisfied smile, Boruto put away the chessboard and stood up, ready to continue the day. The game had been an exciting challenge, and Boruto was looking forward to more challenges in the future.

As they prepared to leave the park, Boruto, Shikadai, and Mitsuki saw Sarada and Chōchō hopping between buildings with worried expressions on their faces. Without thinking much about it, the three friends decided to follow them, intrigued by their companions' haste and seriousness.

After following them for a while, the group arrived at the Konoha hospital. Boruto and his companions were shocked to see the place and wondered what could have happened. With their hearts racing, they entered the hospital and began to follow in the footsteps of Sarada and Chōchō .

Walking through the hospital corridors, Boruto and his friends saw Sarada stop in front of a door. With a firm gesture, she opened it, and Boruto's group did the same, entering the room cautiously. What they found inside surprised them: Sumire was lying on a bed with bandages on various parts of her body, and her companions Namida and Wasabi were by her side, visibly worried.

The room was filled with tension and the atmosphere was thick. Boruto, unable to contain his curiosity and concern, quickly approached Sumire's bed and asked urgently:

— What happened? How is Sumire?

Wasabi, with an expression of fury and concern, answered while running a hand through his hair in a nervous gesture:

— It was an attack by Ghost. We don't know all the details, but the situation became quite serious.

Mitsuki and Shikadai exchanged worried glances as they listened to Wasabi's response. Boruto leaned a little closer to Sumire, his face reflecting a mix of worry and determination.

—What did Ghost do? — Boruto asked, his voice filled with unease.

— They attacked while we were on a routine mission. Sumire was severely injured in the process — Wasabi explained, her voice shaking with rage and sadness. — It was a well-planned ambush. Ghost keeps causing trouble, and now the situation is more critical than we imagined.

Sarada and Chōchō approached as well, and Sarada, with a serious face, added:

— We have to do something. This can't just be left like this.

Boruto nodded determinedly, looking at Sumire and then at his friends. He knew they had to act, not just for his comrades, but for the safety of the village.

— We will solve this. We will not let Ghost continue doing this. — Boruto said, with a firmness that resonated in the room.

The group gathered in a circle, each with their own expression of determination. They knew they had to prepare to face a new threat and protect their friends and the village from any danger.

As Sumire rested, surrounded by bandages and care, Boruto's friends vowed to do everything they could to confront Ghost and ensure that situations like this would not happen again. Ghost's presence had left a mark on the village, and now it was Boruto and his team's turn to act and protect their home.

As Boruto, Shikadai, and Mitsuki were getting up to speed on the situation, Sensei Shino, who had arrived at the hospital after receiving news of the attack, approached with a grave but calm expression. He looked at the students gathered around Sumire and, after listening to their conversation, addressed them in a serious tone.

— I don't know what they're planning, but they won't do it. They are students after all — Shino said, his words laden with firmness. — This is partly my fault for proposing the work experience. As instructors, we must take responsibility for protecting them. The elders will take care of this.

Boruto and his friends looked at Shino with understanding and respect. The gravity of the situation made them realize the magnitude of the danger they faced, and the role of adults in protecting young people from the most serious threats.

Shino continued, his gaze determined and his voice full of determination:

— The priority now is to ensure everyone's safety and find a solution to the Ghost problem. You've done a great job of staying calm and acting bravely, but this is a matter that requires a response from experienced shinobi.

Sarada, Chōchō , and the others listened intently, knowing that the adults' intervention was crucial at this moment. While Shino turned to the doctors and hospital staff to coordinate the next steps, Boruto and his companions were left with a mixed feeling of relief and worry.

— We'll do it right — Boruto said with determination, looking at his friends. — We'll make sure we're ready for whatever comes next. Thank you, Shino-sensei.

With one last glance at Sumire and a renewed sense of responsibility, Boruto, Shikadai, and Mitsuki prepared to leave the hospital, knowing they had to trust the adults to handle the situation with Ghost while they focused on preparing for what was to come.

Shino and the hospital staff quickly began working to tend to Sumire and coordinate a plan to deal with the threat of Ghost. Meanwhile, Boruto and his friends headed outside, ready to do whatever they could to contribute to the safety of the village and their loved ones.

After leaving the hospital, Boruto walked with Shikadai and Mitsuki by his side, his mind occupied with his thoughts. As they made their way through the streets of Konoha, Boruto thought to himself:

— I thought about using those present, but it seems that it wasn't possible. After all, they are a nuisance. It's time to get information. — Boruto thought as he looked at Mitsuki.

Shikadai, who was walking next to Boruto, looked at him curiously and asked:

—So you're just going to sit back and do nothing then?

Boruto glanced at him, his expression serious. Then he replied:

— Not at all. We'll do something secretly tomorrow to look for Ghost. We can't just sit back and watch while the village faces threats.

Mitsuki, who had been listening to the conversation attentively, looked up and asked:

— What do you plan to do?

Boruto smiled slightly and turned to Mitsuki:

— Well, besides that, would you like to come over to my house? My mom asked me to bring my new friend over for dinner. It's always a good chance to relax a little.

Mitsuki, with a curious expression on his face, nodded:

— Sure, I'd love to.

Boruto looked at the sky, which was beginning to darken with dusk, and said:

— Let's go quickly, the sun is already starting to set. I don't want to be late!

As the three friends made their way to Boruto's house, the mood became lighter, taking some of the tension out of the situation. Boruto led the way with a quick stride, talking animatedly about dinner and asking Mitsuki questions about her tastes and preferences. Shikadai, meanwhile, walked alongside, thinking about the strategy they could follow the next day.

__ After walking for a while, the group reached an intersection where Shikadai said goodbye to his friends and took a different path. Boruto and Mitsuki continued walking together, chatting about various things. As they walked forward, the sun began to tint the sky an orange color, signaling the end of the day. Finally, they arrived at Boruto's house. He opened the door and prepared for what awaited him, taking off his sandals and placing them neatly. Mitsuki did the same, and together they walked down the hallway, turning left. As they passed the kitchen, Boruto noticed the presence of his mother and little sister.

—Hello, mother, I'm here —Boruto greeted.

Hinata turned to greet him, a warm smile on her face.

—Hello, Boruto, welcome —she replied, while Himawari did the same.

Behind Boruto, Mitsuki appeared and said politely:

—Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hinata greeted him kindly:

—Welcome. You're Mitsuki, right?

"Good afternoon," Himawari greeted with a smile.

"Good afternoon, Himawari," Mitsuki replied, noticing the little girl's happiness.

"My brother brought a friend. That's weird," Himawari said with a mix of tenderness and slight sadness.

Boruto looked at the food on the kitchen counter and exclaimed:

—But it looks so good! I can't wait to eat it, it looks delicious.

"Since I told you to bring your new friend, I thought it would be good to prepare a nice meal," Hinata explained fondly.

Boruto laughed happily.

—Haha! — Boruto laughed , clearly excited.

Hinata added with a smile:

—And one more thing, Boruto: your father will come early for dinner.

Boruto, who was watching the food, looked up at his mother and replied a little dryly:

—I see. I hope he can at least eat your food and not leave.

Hinata looked at him with a strange and slightly sad expression, while Himawari did the same.

—Let's go to my room, Mitsuki. I'll show you —Boruto said, trying to change the subject.

Hinata smiled and said:

—Make yourself at home, Mitsuki.

Boruto and Mitsuki walked up the stairs and arrived at Boruto's room, where a sign on the door had his name on it. Boruto opened the door and they entered. While Boruto sat on the bed, Mitsuki inspected the room and walked over to some photos where the entire family appeared.

—The Seventh Hokage... I haven't met him yet —Mitsuki said, taking one of the photos and looking at it closely—. Naruto Uzumaki, the hero of the Fourth Great Ninja War and the creator of peace. With very powerful jutsus, with the ability to destroy villages, known as the strongest Kage of the five Kage. The Seventh Hokage.

Boruto looked at him curiously as he laid back on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

—Do you really want to meet him? He's very careless and always flirts with Mom. He's almost never home.

Mitsuki put the photo back and walked over to the bed, sitting on the edge.

—You either hate your father or you love him—Mitsuki observed.

Boruto looked at him for a moment before looking back at the ceiling.

—It's not that I hate him, I just don't like him since he became Hokage. He's forgotten that he has a family. He's always working and never spends time with us. I don't understand. If he wanted to be Hokage so much, why does he have a family that he can't spend time with? —Boruto paused before continuing—. Do you understand, Mitsuki? In this world, it's not just about hating or loving someone.

Mitsuki looked at him curiously, but before she could answer, a voice was heard from below.

"Guys, lunch is served! Come eat!" Hinata shouted.

Boruto got up from the bed and said:

—Come on, Mitsuki. I don't like eating cold food.

Mitsuki nodded and the two of them left the room, heading down the stairs to the dining room. There they sat at the table; Mitsuki on Boruto's right side. Across from Boruto was Naruto's seat, who hadn't arrived yet, and to Naruto's right was Himawari, while to his left was Hinata.

Just as everyone was settling into their respective seats, footsteps were heard at the entrance.

"I'm here!" Naruto announced, entering the kitchen and moving into the dining room.

"Welcome, Naruto," Hinata said fondly.

Himawari got down from her seat and ran to hug her father.

—Hi, Dad! —the little girl greeted.

"Hello, Himawari," Naruto replied, returning the hug.

"Hello, father, you're late," Boruto said, without taking his eyes off the table.

"Hello, Boruto, and sorry for being late," Naruto replied, apologizing.

Naruto then noticed Mitsuki's presence and addressed him:

—You must be Mitsuki.

Mitsuki stood up from his chair and introduced himself:

—I'm Mitsuki, I come from the Village of Sound.

Naruto extended his hand and said:

—I remember seeing you before. My name is Naruto —he said as he shook Mitsuki's hand.

"It's been a while since I've tried Hinata's cooking. I'm always eating instant ramen," Naruto said as he looked at the food with desire.

They all sat down in their seats, and at the same time, they said:

—Thanks for the meal!
