Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The narrator said, "Everybody hears how monsters can be from books and movies. But have you ever gotten to know one or given them a chance to tell if they're good or evil? I have a story to tell you if you still need to. And it all starts in Transylvania." In 1894, two siblings, Evelyn and Tyler, went to the vampire exhibit at the museum. The narrator said, "Mary-Kate, the museum curator, then showed up and showed Evelyn and Tyler something they or anyone else has never seen before." Mary-Kate said, "Behold, the unseen. A real undead vampire."

Mary-Kate pulled the rope to remove the curtain, and Evelyn and Tyler saw a vampire locked up in a coffin with a glass cover. Mary-Kate said, "This is Matthew. He was sealed in that coffin over 500 years ago. They thought slaying him was cruel, so they trapped him in his coffin instead." Evelyn said, "Well, since he was never slayed, maybe he's still alive." Tyler tried opening Matt's coffin, but it got sealed tight. Tyler said, "Even if this vampire is alive, he won't get anywhere. The door got sealed shut, and this glass is too thick to walk through." Mary-Kate said, "Not entirely true." Mary-Kate showed them The Ancient Book of Vampires and the resurrection spell. Mary-Kate said, "Rumor has it if anyone was to perform this ritual and say this chant, they could bring any vampire back from the grave, even Matt. But I don't take risks, so no performing it." Evelyn said, "Well, may I at least read some of it? The first line says you must pay respects to resurrect a vampire, but I don't have anything to pay. What harm could it do." The narrator said, "Mary-Kate thought about it and figured Evelyn was right, so she let her." Mary-Kate said, "Ok, some of it, but not all." The narrator said, "Evelyn read half the spell in her head so it wouldn't do anything. Then Mary-Kate shut the book before anything happened."

When night came, Evelyn, Tyler, and Mary-Kate went to the Transylvania Theater and watched a vampire show. The actors who performed dressed up like vampires and sang about vampires, too. When they finished, the audience clapped and gave them applause. The narrator said, "For their grand finale, the actors performed the unheard of." The head performer, Thomas, said, "We warn you, we're going to do something no one has ever done. You came to the right place if you wanted to see a real living vampire." Tom stood on the high platform while his backup performers stood on the lower one. Thomas clapped his hands, and the lights flashed on a giant red talisman with a yellow vampire picture. Tom started to sing while the other actors sang back up and paid their respects. The performers performed The Vampire's Resurrection Chant on stage. When they did, Mary-Kate recognized it.

Mary-Kate said, "That spell is the spell I showed you from The Ancient Book of Vampires. These people are playing with supernatural magic." Evelyn and Tyler started to get worried. While the performers sang the chant, Matt's eyes began to glow inside his coffin at the museum. Then, the entire room started to shake, and the pages of The Ancient Book of Vampires began to turn by themselves. The security guard looked in the vampire exhibit and wondered what was happening. While the spell took effect, the bowl they paid their respects in glowed green, and a green beam appeared on stage. Thomas said, "It's working?" The green glow turned black, twirled around, and started to crack the stage. Mary-Kate said, "This is bad." Then, a gusty wind blew in the room, and when it stopped, the green and black glow vanished and made Matthew appear on stage. Matthew said, "I am free. FREE!" Matt turned into a bat and flew out the window. Mary-Kate said, "Great, now our world is in vain because those jokers unleashed a real vampire in this modern time." After Mary-Kate said so, the audience clapped and then left the theater. After the show, Mary-Kate questioned the actors. Mary-Kate said, "That resurrection spell was from The Ancient Book of Vampires. Where did you learn it?" Thomas said, "Um, internet."

The next day, Evelyn and Tyler returned to the vampire exhibit at the museum and saw the place trashed, and the coffin Matthew got sealed in was destroyed. Tyler said, "Well, the vampire's real since he got out of his coffin, and he's nowhere to be found in town, so he's probably asleep somewhere." The narrator said, "Matt flew to Rhode Island and saw it was pitch black out since it was the middle of the night there." Matt said, "I'm not surprised. This place is 7 hours behind Transylvania." Matt then returned to normal, went to the cemetery, and read a spell from his copy of The Ancient Book of Vampires. Once he said the enchantment to wake his vampire friends, the same green and black glow on stage in Transylvania appeared above a crypt in the cemetery. Then the light vanished, and Matt's friends, Maddy, Carolyn, Raven, Chris, and Angelica, walked out of the crypt. Matthew said, "Guys." Maddy said, "Hi, Matt." Matthew said, "Time to wreak havoc. Especially on the werewolves, we need to get home first." All six of them then turned into bats and flew back to Transylvania.

Once they got back to Transylvania, the sun was going down. Once it got dark out, the vampires turned back into themselves. Then they roamed the night, looking for victims to turn into vampires and join their crew. The narrator said, "100 years passed, and they had no luck since everyone was too afraid to go out after dark. But there was one who wasn't, and his name was The Slaying Mask. The Slaying Mask was the hero of Transylvania; he hunted vampires worldwide, and no vampire ever defeated him; he was too good." Matthew and his crew tried stealing the portrait of Dracula from the museum. While doing so, Maddy disguised herself as a security guard and dropped Chris off at the control room. Chris then squeezed under the door like a rat and changed back into himself. Chris put his fingers together and snapped them. Chris first put a vampire hard drive into the computer system to see his friends since they don't show up on film. Chris saw Maddy walking into the room where the portrait was and called his friends on his headset. Chris said, "Maddy's in position. Maddy, any sign of any real security guards?" Maddy used her headset and said, "All clear. Chris, do your thing." Chris hacked into the computer system and turned off the alarms so their other friends could get in simply. Chris called his friends on his headset and said, "Ok, guys, all the alarms have been shut down. You can open the door now."

Matthew, Carolyn, Raven, and Angelica walked into the museum through the door, but they didn't know someone was following them. Once they were about to steal the portrait, The Slaying Mask showed up and said, "Not so fast." Matthew and his crew saw The Slaying Mask with two wooden stakes. Matthew said, "Oh, super. A bossy vampire slayer." Matthew used his vampire powers to levitate The Slaying Mask while his friends got away with the portrait of Dracula. After his friends got away, Chris grabbed his hard drive and ran out of the museum with his friends. When Matt left, he let The Slaying Mask down. Then The Slaying Mask ran after them, but Matt and his vampire friends got away before The Slaying Mask caught and slayed them. While he was at the museum, The Slaying Mask snuck into the jewelry room and stole the golden vampire statue. When the Police arrived, they held guns up to The Slaying Mask, but The Slaying Mask used his grappling gun to swing out the window and escape. Police Chief Meena saw The Slaying Mask ride away on his motorcycle and said, "Keep running, Slaying Mask, sooner or later, every thief gets caught." Then a note fell, and Chief Meena caught and read it. Chief Meena said, "Maybe, but not all vampire slayers. The Slaying Mask." The narrator said, "After reading the note, the police chief got mad and thought The Slaying Mask was confident she would never catch him."
