Celyn da Silver Santos, a 20-year-old free spirit beautiful lady with a wild mane of curly brown hair and a contagious smile, stepped out of a taxi, her hands clutching luggage and a suitcase. Her hazel eyes sparkled with excitement as she took in the lively sights of Mexico City, ready to start a new life. She reached into her bag for the keys to her new apartment, which she had rented before arriving in the city. As she entered her new home, her eyes widened in delight. The interior was exactly what she had hoped for.
"Wow, this is perfect!" she exclaimed, throwing herself onto the comfy couch. "Oh, oh, oh, so comfy!" She continued to explore her apartment, reveling in the excitement of her new surroundings.
Just as she was about to settle in, a knock at the door caught her attention. Raising her eyebrows, she murmured, "Who the hell is it?" She approached the door, her hand slowly wrapping around the handle. Peering through the peephole, she saw no one. Celyn's eyes flashed with confusion. She was certain she had heard a knock.
"Mexico City is full of weirdos! More like my dream city!" she chuckled to herself, shaking her head.
As she turned to return to the couch, a noise came from outside, followed by the door creaking open. Celyn's back was covered in fear as she spun around to face the intruder. A strong hand wrapped around her neck, covering her mouth to prevent her from screaming.
Lucian olivares burst into Celyn's apartment, his eyes scanning the apartment carefully. He is a tall, dark haired stranger, his face flashed with a hint of worry and fear, for a moment, his piercing blue eyes locked with Celyn's, leaving them in silence.
Celyn's eyes widened in horror, taking a few steps to keep a distance from the stranger, about to scream but the stranger was quick to wrap his hand around her neck and covered her mouth .
"Shhhh! I won't hurt you, just listen to me carefully, I promise...I won't hurt you!" a deep, rough, and shaky voice whispered into her ear. Celyn's heart pounded, her body struggling to break free from the stranger's grasp.
The man's hot breath on her bare neck sent shivers down her spine. His hand remained clamped over her mouth, and Celyn quickly nodded in agreement, signaling that she wouldn't panic. The stranger seemed breathless, his chest heaving against her back.
"Save me! Hide me, they're here already!" he whispered urgently, his words sending chills down Celyn's spine. Her heart racing, she nodded again, and the stranger released his grip on her mouth.
As he stumbled toward her bedroom, Celyn's gaze followed him, her mind bewildered with questions. She took a deep breath and approached him,
"Hey, who are you? What's going on?... And why are you hiding in my apartment!" Her voice firm and curious
The stranger turned around, his gaze locked with Celyn's. For a moment they just stared at each other, making a tension between them obvious.
"I..I'm sorry" he stammered, his voice rough and husky. "I didn't mean to intrude you, I just need a place to hide. Please you have to help me."
Celyn's eyes narrowed, doubts racing in her mind. But there was something about the stranger's desperateness that resonated with her.
"Who's after you?" She asked, her voice adjusting to a softer one
The man's eyes swept around the room, as if he was scared of being overheard " I ...I don't know, I just know that they're looking for me. you have to hide me."
Celyn stared at the man carefully, trying to read his intentions. She saw fear and desperation in his eyes. Her heart skipped a beat knowing well she was taking a risk by helping him.
Before she could process her thoughts, a loud knock at the door made her heart skip a beat. Her legs trembled as she turned to face the door. The stranger's words echoed in her mind: "Hide me!"
With a surge of , Celyn transformed into a fearless heroine. She grasped the door handle, took a deep breath, and opened the door.
Two tall, black-clad men stood on her doorstep. One of them spoke up, "Sorry to disturb you, young lady. We're looking for a criminal who ran in here. If you don't mind, we'd like to take him with us."
Celyn's heart skipped a beat, but her face remained a mask of indifference. She raised her eyebrows, pointing inside her apartment. "A criminal ran in here? Are you sure you looked properly?"
The other man spoke up, his tone firm. "Young girl, why don't you let us search for him on our own?"
Celyn's gaze narrowed, her eyes flashing with fear. "Hey, uncles, is this what people in Mexico City do? Going around, invading people's privacy?"
The men's expressions changed to surprise. One of them spoke up, "Don't make it too difficult for us! Otherwise, we'll have to break in ourselves!"
Celyn's eyes sparkled with boldness. She leaned back against the doorframe, stretching her arms and letting out a lazy yawn.
"Shame on you, uncles! My boyfriend just arrived was just about to show me some new moves he learned while he was away, but you disturbed our precious moment!"
The two men's jaws almost dropped to the floor. What was this silly girl talking about? Celyn continued, "Or do you want to stop my boyfriend from teaching me new moves? Isn't that being wicked, uncles?"
The men exchanged puzzled glances. The first man stared at Celyn intensely, then gave the other man a hand signal to leave. Celyn's eyes flashed with relief, thinking to herself, _They believed me so quickly!_
As the men departed, Celyn's mind whirled with questions. Who was the stranger hiding in her bedroom? What did he want? And what had she just gotten herself into?
