Kyle walked into the classroom and immediately understood the situation.
"You'll get your chance next time. Let's go before Mrs. Monet starts tripping," he said casually to Jack.
Jack nodded, agreeing. "Yeah, you're right. Don't want to upset her." Before leaving, he turned to Adrian. "What's your name, kid?"
"Travis Wyatt, the future pirate king!" Travis said, then quickly added, "Just kidding. Travis Wyatt."
Jack raised an eyebrow at the joke but didn't press further. "I'll remember that name," he said before walking out of the classroom, leaving the rest of the class in stunned silence.
Travis glanced back at the guy whose hand he had crushed earlier, noticing the furious glare still in his eyes.
'I'll have to deal with him later. He's not done yet,' Travis thought, smirking to himself.
He stepped aside, making his way to his seat, which was conveniently located by the window at the back of the room.
'Looks like this school might not be as boring as I thought. Good thing training starts today,' Travis mused, a sense of excitement building within him.
Class began, and Travis quickly lost interest, but he still paid attention to the teacher just because he felt like it.
The teacher noticed how distracted Travis appeared despite seeming focused, letting out a sigh.
"Travis, I know you're smart and all, but that doesn't give you the right to zone out in my class," the teacher said.
'Well, my powers kinda do, but let's not get into that,' Travis thought.
"Yes, Mr... um, I forgot your name."
"It's Mr. Forg, Travis. It's been five months, and you still don't know my name? That's quite insulting. Whatever, let's move on," Mr. Forg said, shaking his head.
'This guy. So laid-back, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even want to be here,' Travis thought to himself.
'You're right, I don't want to be here, Travis,' came a sudden thought into Travis's mind.
'Huh? Are you a telepath?' Travis responded internally.
'Yes, but only for a brief moment. In a second, you won't hea—'
'That's quite a useless power,' Travis interrupted in his thoughts.
'Not really. Also, I'd like to speak to you after cla—'
'Useless,' Travis mentally dismissed.
…
The bell rang, and Travis stayed behind.
"Travis, it appears you've broken Ryan's arm. Do you have anything to say?" Mr. Forg asked, his tone stern but curious.
"No, I don't have anything to say," Travis replied nonchalantly.
"I'll have to put you in detention, you know. That's against school rules. After school, you'll be staying in my class for an hour, okay?"
"I refuse," Travis said flatly before walking out of the classroom without another word.
As soon as he stepped out, he was met by Ryan, standing with his gang, clearly ready to escalate the situation.
" You know, this hand means a lot to me. It's my right hand, therefore the hand I use to beat my meat, and guess who I watch while I beat me meat, videos of your sister during swim class"
Travis flinched when he heard those words, he tightened his fist in anger, he wanted to beat him up, but that would risk him getting expelled, he understood how this schools system worked the second he got into Travis's body.
Power and Influence, these two are the two systems that control the flow of this academy ,there is no way that a school that produces powerful heroes will not have politics, some might say this is the breading ground for politicians since they're children attend these schools.
Just like Ryan the guy standing right infront of him, except he's not as influential as everybody else but he knows people who are which makes him feel powerful.
The thing is, unlike Travis who told his mom specifically that he didn't want to be known as her son in this school due to him not wanting free stuff, Ryan came into this school with one purpose and that was to make anyone with no statuses life a living hell. He is basically hate incarnate if you will.
" Oh that got you huh. Well your lucky that you're little sister is an awakened otherwise I would have long ago gotten myself a taste of that premium under aged pussy"
Travis was fuming, yet he wasn't going to fight, not yet though. He needed a nice place to show this guy that he wasn't the pushover from before.
' I should calm my anger before I kill this guy, then again who would care if I did' he thought, Travis stepped away from them and walked towards his next class, ignoring their taunts.
He entered the next class and sat at a random seat, class began and so did hell.
...
Breaktime came, and Travis grabbed his stuff, walking out of the room. He blended into the flow of students marching toward the cafeteria. After grabbing a tray and waiting in line for some food, he found a quiet corner in the cafeteria and sat alone at a table.
He glanced around, observing the chatter and noise, but his mind was elsewhere. 'I should probably make some friends... but, honestly, female friends would be better. Guys can't give me what I really want.' His thoughts drifted as he ate, keeping to himself while planning his next move in this strange, competitive school.
As Travis sat at his table, he noticed Ryan and his crew glaring at him from across the cafeteria. Smirking, they walked over to where Jack and Kyle were seated.
"Senpai, thanks for coming to my aid this morning. You don't know how grateful I am," Ryan said with sincere appreciation.
Jack shrugged nonchalantly, continuing to eat. Kyle, however, turned his gaze coldly toward Ryan. "Oh, you're the kid who wanted to join us, right?"
"Yes, Senpai. When I awaken, I'll definitely join your group," Ryan assured.
Kyle's eyes narrowed. "Hmm, didn't you get beat up this morning? I'm honestly considering canceling our agreement now."
Jack, recalling his earlier mistake, added, "Yeah, I even called you my underling. People might start thinking we're weak."
"Yes, but how was I supposed to know Travis would do that? If you hadn't shown up, I would have taken him on with my gang," Ryan protested.
"Yeah!" his gang chimed in, backing him up.
Kyle's piercing stare made Ryan shiver. "You were beaten by the person who used to bully you. That's just humiliating, you know."
Ryan seethed with anger. 'That damned Travis, I'll make him pay!' he thought.
"What if I beat him up then? Will you reconsider?" Ryan offered, desperation lacing his voice.
"Maybe," Kyle replied coolly. "Now get out of here before I beat the hell out of you."
As Kyle spoke, an invisible force pushed Ryan and his gang away from the table. They were shoved out of the cafeteria, leaving them bewildered. The force stopped as they were ejected, and Ryan stood there, stunned.
"Huh, what just happened?" Ryan asked, confusion evident in his voice.
"Honestly, why are we even over here?" Kyle asked, standing up from the table.
"Because they have good food. Not that our food is bad, but I'm tired of eating healthy," Jack replied, stretching as he spoke.
"Yeah, that's true," Kyle agreed.
"Boss, we gotta get to basketball practice before the coach kills us," one of Jack's lackeys said, urgency in his tone.
"Alright, You can go" Jack said, and the group hurried off. Kyle smirked, watching them leave, then continued eating.
"So, you were telling me about this Travis guy," Kyle said, turning his attention back to his food.
"Yeah, he's not even worth my time," Jack said, his smile growing. "But as the nice senpai I am, I should put him in his place."
Kyle watched Jack's smile with interest. 'Oh, it's been a while since I've seen Jack smile. Guess this guy might be more interesting than I thought,'Kyle mused.
