(Another Long Chapter. Three in a row. I will cut back to 2000 words after this.)
Raynare and Kalawarna knew that they were weak as they only survived the Great War by avoiding battle. That was why they were tasked with observing Sacred Gear holders as it was more safe than going on battle missions.
It just so happened that they grew too arrogant and took matters into their own hands causing their current situation. Now, they were slaves to Jack and all they knew was that he was part of Fallen Angela and Dragon.
They had no idea how strong he was, but here they were watching him having a slugfest with Baldur, son of Odin. Even worse was that they were being protected by the cat because that was how weak they were.
Kalawarna wasn't as bitter as Raynare, but in her head she was pissed. She hated being reminded of how weak she was, so seeing Jack having a swell time with Baldur hit her where it stung.
Baldur and Jack continued to grin savagely as they continued to brutalize each other. Jack threw a right and left jab which Baldur weaved before moving in landing a series of speedy uppercuts to Jack's midsection.
Jack tightened the muscles in his midsection, but even then he felt his guts groan. He grit his teeth as he locked his hands together and brought them down on Baldur's head.
The strength and momentum caused him to smash Baldur's face into the ground. He lunged down, grabbed Baldur by his head, and smashed it down again. Baldur braced his hands, he pushed off the ground hard.
While was was mid-air, he spun around and kicked Jack across the face sending him flying. Jack spun himself and landed on the ground feet first. He rubbed his jaw as Baldur could hit hard.
"Nice hit."
Baldur grinned as he found the perfect sparing partner. He had fought for centuries with his followers, his brothers, but they got repetitive. Even the warriors of legend in Valhalla had grown borring to him.
Jack was someone new and he was always looking for a new friend.
"You too, let's take this up a notch."
As Baldur's Divine Energy surged through his body he began to glow like a sun. Baldur as the God of Light, had light magic that surpassed every Angel. If Kalawarna and Raynare were Devils, they would have gone up in ashes.
Baldur condensed that Light around himself which made Jack smile.
"Light? We have got to be the perfect match."
Potent Darkness began to surge from his body which began to clash against the light of Baldur. Seeing that, Baldur lowered himself before he blasted at insane speeds toward Jack as a blinding wave of Divine Light.
As for Jack, his Darkness seemed to consume the Light and as he moved he appeared more like Darkness itself. He and Baldur pulled their fists back and they clashed. When the Darkness and Light clashed, they exploded violently forcing Amara to use Gravity Jail to create a forcefield around Raynare and Kalawarna.
The other Asgardians who had been training before made sure to keep their distance as this could get brutal. As for Odin and Vidar, they watched on with interest as Jack and Baldur continued to fight.
The thing about Apophis was that she was the mortal enemy of Ra The Sun God. Her Darkness could consume and destroy anything. That Darkness was Jack's to control and Baldur noticed that where his Light touched the Darkness it was consumed.
He grinned as he bellowed a roar as he came closer. Jack and he lunged at each other as they exchanged blow after blow. Baldur's fists smashed into Jack's face over and over.
There was one problem with that as being inside the darkness of Apophis was dangerous. It was destructive and necrotic and Jack was enveloped in it. The skin of Baldur's fists was starting to decay, but he just laughed.
"YES! FIGHT ME MORE!"
Throughout this fight, Baldur and Jack hadn't been fighting seriously, but it seemed Baldur had just run out of patience. Vidar turned to his Father who was observing the ongoing fight with fascination.
"Father, it seems Baldur is going to stop holding back. Should I stop him?"
Odin ran a hand down his beard before he grinned.
"No. I got a better idea. HEY YOU BRATS!"
When they heard Odin's face they both stopped fighting. The Darkness and Light aura's around them vanished revealing their current states. The face of Jack was swollen and he had terrible bruises and burns all over his face, neck, and chest.
Baldur seemed worse as the areas that Jack hit had been corroded and decayed. Now that they stopped brawling they were healing quickly while Odin watched on.
"I am curious what will happen if you two go all out. Jack, think you can handle it?"
Jack nodded.
"I can. I haven't used my Sacred Gears. I won't use Brynhildr and just use my other Sacred Gears."
Baldur nodded as he didn't fight with weapons. He only used his fists, but if Jack was going to use his Sacred Gears, he would hold nothing back.
"Fine then, fight me more."
He focused on his wounds which quickly regenerated as his blessing activated. Jack also healed quickly meaning they were back at their peak. Jack turned around and he walked a distance away from Baldur.
As for Baldur, he began to stretch and pop his joints.
"This is going to be good."
Jack extended his right hand as the Abyssal Eclipse Gear enveloped his arm. He also brought out his Second Sacred Gear, Procellarum Phantom which enveloped his legs.
He took a deep breath as he began to circulate his Mana, Ki, and Divine Energy all at once. He squinted his eyes as he extended his right arm.
"Balance Breaker: Scales Of The Abyss."
The Gem containing the soul of Apophis surged with power as a massive eruption of Primordial Water surged over Jack's body. The Liquid Darkness flowed over his body encasing him in its destroying touch.
As it flowed through the training ground, it dissolved and ate everything it touched. The Vikings who had been using the training ground ran far away to avoid its spread. Odin, Vidar, Brynhildr, Kalawarna, and Raynare backed away to avoid it.
The liquid stopped spreading as it surged toward Jack where it enveloped in like a cacoon. It began to condense around him as Apophis synchronized both his Sacred Gears using their bond to his soul.
Everyone watching froze as the Primordial Water condensed around him into a massive set of draconic armor.
(Image here)
The armor was much bulkier than the Scail Mail and it seemed to be made up of interlocking spiked sections. The helmet was in the shape of a dragon's head, two draconic arms covered the shoulders, and a large trashing metal tail smashed into the ground.
Jack's arms were crossed, but when he uncrossed them he clenched his armored fists as his aura burst from his body. Raynare and Kalawarna collapsed as the unrestrained aura increased countless times.
Procellarum Phantom enhancement was no longer based on just his legs, but his entire body. It was enhanced by the power of Apophis resulting in his abillities increasing by a Factor of 50.
There was so much power that the ground was trembling as he stepped forward. Baldur grinned as he lowered his fighting stance. A massive pillar of Divine Energy and Light surged from his body as he roared to the sky.
"FUCK YEAH! I am going to break that fancy armor of yours."
Jack didn't answer as the eyes of his helmet surged with Dark Light. He smashed his right leg forward destroying the ground around them. His armor without him needing to do it created a Dark Field Barrier around him in an area of 5 meters.
It was smaller than normal, but far more condensed and powerful. Odin who was watching began to grin as he much like the rest of the Aesir still loved to fight, party, and watch others fight.
Jack not satisfied clenched his right fist.
'Don't give out on me Apophis, you ready for this?'
[Who do you think I am? Go for it.]
He grinned under his dark helm and used their trump card.
[Boost.]
Since his armor straight off the bat enhanced his abillities by a Factor of 50, his abillities were now enhanced by a factor of 100. The Dark Field Barrier around him doubled in size to ten meters around him.
This time, the aura coming off of him was felt throughout Asgard. Vidar felt it was frozen in place for a few moments before his mouth extended into a massive ear-to-ear grin.
'Incredible.'
He wanted to fight Jack himself, no, he had to fight Jack. As for Odin, he smiled as it seemed that it was good that Brynhildr was claimed by Jack. He was now seeing why Azazel placed so much attention on the young lad.
However, from the look of it, the hotties that Jack brought with him were probably going to die. Amara was doing her best to shield them, but while she was fine, they were not.
"Such good-looking ladies yet so weak."
Odin tapped his walking stick on the ground and increased the barrier that Amara set up. When that happened, they both stopped gasping for air. They could just watch as Jack and Baldur vanished.
A Domain of Light and Darkness smashed into each other at such speeds they couldn't see it happen. Jack's Dark Field Barrier would create a world of perfect Darkness, but Baldur countered it with what Jack could only call the opposite of his Dark Field Barrier.
A Barrier of pure Light clashed against his Barrier weakening it.
'No matter.'
He moved in and with his Mana, Ki, and Divine Energy enhancing his abillities he attacked. He struck Baldur in the face and since the armor was made from condensed Primordial Water, it carried with it the ability to dissolve anything. It could wound even God Class beings like Baldur which caused his skin and flesh to dissolve.
It left his jaw bones exposed, but the God of Light made his healing speed blindingly fast. However, that wasn't taking into account the blow itself which carried such a potent shock wave that it sent him flying.
Jack extended his three pairs of wings which were encased in armor as well. He took off into the sky and blasted toward Baldur who stopped his momentum by punching the ground.
"OH YEAH!"
Baldur took off into the sky and reached Jack at what he could only call Light Speed. Baldur's extended leg, slammed into his midsection causing his armor to crack in that area.
Jack ignored the cracks which filled in with liquid Darkness and repaired themselves. Plus, the liquid that splashed from the cracks splashed onto his leg. They began to eat into his flesh, but Baldur ignored his pain. He and Jack began to grapple mid-air as they punched, kicked, elbowed, kneed, and head-butted each other.
The force of their blows continued to echo in the area and the longer the fight went on the more gods began to gather, including Frigg the wife of Odin or Freya depending on the story.
Both were her, but as she watched her youngest battle it out with Jack, her eyes twinkled.
"My, my, where did you find this, my love?"
Where Odin appeared elderly, his wife was the definition of beauty. As the goddess of Love, Fertility, War, Magic, beauty, and Gold, she was beyond beautiful. She watched on with fascination next to her husband.
"He is one of Azazel's boys."
"Ah, that is why these Fallen Angels are here."
She referred to Kalawarna and Raynare who were still being protected by Odin.
"They are weak. Might as well put them through the Valkyrie training program to make them something if they are going to serve him. How long will he be staying?"
"Around a month, though he will be free to come and go as he pleases."
"Understood, I am just happy Baldur has a new friend."
The rest of the gods all agreed as they all knew how hungry for battle Baldur was. He had fought them all and even then he always hungered for more. They watched closely as Jack created hundreds of shadow clones made of darkness which began to wail on Baldur.
Each time he destroyed them, they exploded in puffs of darkness, but Jack took that chance.
[Boost.]
Following the former Boost, his power suddenly jumped by another 100 making it 200 its base value. It was so much power and his Dark Field Barrier increased in size once again. He speed blitzed Baldur and he began to unleash a barrage of blows that left Baldur realing.
Baldur began to push back as Jack's fists smashed into his face, chest, and shoulders. Jack roared as he landed an uppercut that sent Baldur flying into the sky. Jack began to gasp for air a she fell to his knees.
His helmet cracked down the middle as he spat out blood. The armor was taking it's toll as he hadn't ever used that much power before. It was a good thing he had swapped out so many of his organs with Dragon Organs because his internals were tearing themselves apart.
As he began to power down, Baldur landed on the ground limp. He had severe injuries caused by the corrosive effect of Jack's Balance Breaker. At first, nobody moved as they all thought Baldur was out.
A few moments later, his eyes shot open and he sat up like a zombie. He didn't open his mouth as he grabbed his jaw and popped it back into place. Jack smiled as Baldur forced himself up ignoring the pain going on in his body.
Several parts of his body were corroded big holes in his flesh and exposed bone. Seeing his state, Baldur smirked as his injuries slowly put themselves back together. It was slow as the darkness of Apophis countered his Light-based healing.
"A little help."
Freya sighed as she approached him.
"Look at you two."
She brought out a vial of shimmering green liquid before handing it to her son.
"Thank you, Mother."
He opened the vial before he drank it causing his wounds to begin closing at a visible rate. She then walked over to Jack who still had his Balance Breaker. However, he let it fall apart as she handed him another vial of the same substance.
"You did good. Here, pure Sap from The Yggdrasil."
"Thank you."
He opened the Vial and drank it causing a massive amount of internal damage to begin to fix it self. Baldur walked forward and he extended his hand to Jack.
"Well then."
Jack took his hand and he was pulled to his feet. They shook hands as fighters causing the gods to all cheer at another good brawl. Baldur turned to address them all.
"THIS IS MY LOSS! TONIGHT WE PARTY!"
The Aesir Gods, their Demigod children, and their Mortal followers began cheering as they chanted Baldur's name. Baldur grinned as he looked at Jack.
"Ready to drink with the Aesir?"
Jack grinned back.
"Born ready."
"BRING OUT THE MJOD!"
More cheers erupted as everyone made their way to the feasting hall of Asgard. On the way toward the Hall, Kalawarna and Raynare meekly and quietly returned to Jack's side now realizing the true power of their master.
As for Amara she jumped out of Kalawarna's arms and jumped onto Jack's shoulder. He and Baldur were the center of things, but they were quickly joined by Vidar. He smacked Jack firmly on the back with a chuckle.
"You did well to push Baldur that much. Things have been boring, you can expect to face your fair share of challenges. Even I am interested in a brawl with you."
Jack smiled as he looked at Vidar who much like Thor, was huge. He had to be at least as tall as his Father.
"Fighting is what I live for, I am always up for a fight Vidar."
Vidar chuckled, but now came the best part. He turned to Baldur who didn't even seem upset to have lost.
"You going to let this go?"
Baldur shook his head.
"No, I will challenge him again and again. Even gods can improve and I have much to improve on. I need a weapon, I don't have one like your boots, or Thor's gloves. Might drop by the dwarves to get them to make me something."
Jack smiled as he looked at Baldur.
"I am looking forward to it."
Baldur was glad to have met Jack. He extended his fist which Jack bumped with his own.
"Let's get you drunk."
When they arrived at the feasting hall, Andhrímnir the Chef of the Aesir knew another feast was going to start. He started off by slaughtering the beast Sæhrímnir, a gigantic immortal pig that fed the Aesir, Einherjar, and their mortal followers.
While the feast was about to begin, the strongest mead Mjod strong enough to even get gods drunk was brought out. Hearing of the feast about to start, Thor returned for the feast. His wife Sif, and his children Magni, Modi, and Sif entered the hall.
Seeing this, Baldur grinned the feast was being prepared.
"WHO WANTS TO DRINK WITH THE MAN WHO BEAT A GOD!"
A roar of Vikings, Aesir, and Einherjar bellowed in the hall.
"WELL THEN, LET'S DRINK!"
Caskets of mead were brought out, horns and mugs were filled while Jack received a barrel full of Mjod from Baldur. The god got his own and seeing this made everyone realise it was a drinking contest.
Bets were placed as the two opened their barriers before they began to drink. While Jack chugged away, Raynare and Kalawarna tried to make themselves as small as possible. Anywhere else, they may have the confidence to keep themselves alive, but not in the Feasting Halls of the Aesir.
While they were thinking of how dangerous things could get, Freya seemed to appear next to them. She glanced at the two women with a smile.
"Are you two so scared of a little feast?"
They froze as the Queen of The Aesir locked on them.
"You two are honestly very sad and weak. I am going to change that. I am sure your Master won't mind me putting you in the Valkyrie training program."
At that point, Jack finished his barrel of pure God Mead with a grin.
"No, I don't. I was going to make them train here anyway, I will appreciate the aid, Lady Freya."
She smiled as she heard that.
"Convenient, enjoy your feast boys. Follow me."
Kalawarna and Raynare glanced at Jack who was having a great time with his new friend. Though, that was going to change as the Mjod was going to kick in soon. Being drunk and being a Dragon didn't mix well, but that would fit right in with the brutal Feasts with the Aesir.
As for Freya, she dragged off Kalawarna and Raynare since she was the one who trained the Valkyries in Magic. Brynhildr or Vera could focus on the physical aspect along with the other Valkyries.
Back at the Feast, the food was ready which included massive platers of meat, and other Norse dishes. Jack was not just getting drunk out of his mind, but the food didn't stop coming.
While the Feast was just starting as the mead started flowing, the Aesir became even more rambunctious. With the more mead they drank, the more things got out of hand and small arguments began to break out.
Thor who was chugging barrels and barrels of mead and Mjod was starting to get drunk. Thor when drunk loved to fight and it seemed he was itching for a brawl. His sons Magni and Modi followed his example and before long a brawl broke out between two Einherjar.
The moment one fist was thrown, the hall descended into anarchy. Even then, the mead kept flowing and the food coming. As Jack was drinking another barrel of Mjod, he spun around and punched an unfortunate Einherjar who bumped into him.
Baldur broke out laughing as the Einherjar went flying through the air. Smashing into Thor. As Thor was drinking another barrel, he locked on Jack with a grin.
"Come here, boy."
Baldur chuckled as Thor threw himself at Jack. Odin watched as his son socked Jack across the face and sent him flying across the hall. Jack smashed into the wall, but he shook himself off and he threw himself at Thor. Now, things got interesting as Magni, and Modi got into the brawl that broke out.
This was how the Aesir partied, things got violent, but violence was fun. The feast and brawl went on until morning as things always did in the Feasting Halls of The Aesir.
When Jack opened his eyes, he found that was quite hard as they were swollen. Thor had tossed him around like a child. Speaking of Thor, he had fallen right on top of Jack and was snoring away.
'My body feels like a bag of chicken bones.'
[That was something, Thor tossed you around like you were a child. You should have seen what you did to Magni.]
Jack struggled to pull himself out from Thor, and when he did he looked around at the wrecked Feasting Hall. It was already putting itself together while the dead Einherjar vanished as they would resurrect in Vallhala.
Seeing the devastation made Jack smile.
'I will like it in Asgard it seems.'
(Here we are the last chapter pre-Time Skip. The next Chapter will start with Jack being 15, almost a four-year time skip. The start of High School at Yokai Academy.)
