Chapter 30 - Godly Intervention.

(This chapter took longer than it should have since I have been falling asleep the moment I get home from work. Also, one of my favorite Cultivation Novels The Charm Of Soul Pets got adapted into a Donghua(Chinese animation) and it is pretty good. Always wanted to do a fanfic of it, but Cultivation novels are tricky.)

Once Baldur's gauntlets had been completed and Jack got his ton of gold and gems from Brok and Sindri they didn't delay much longer. Brok with his big mouth was probably going to piss him off again and Moka wouldn't be able to keep him calm forever.

Even a Dragon Tamer could not really control a dragon, much less Jack of all Dragons. Jack turned to Sindri who handed him a small box that contained a ton of gold and other precious gems.

"Here. I apologize for my brother's rudeness. He does that often."

Jack opened the box and looked inside. Inside were pure gold coins, diamonds, emeralds, rubies, Sapphires, and even Opal. Jack wanted to smile like a child, but he simply closed the box.

"Thank you, Sindri. If you ever need a dragon to hire, I will do it for cheap. Of course, as long as your brother keeps quiet."

Brok not one to stay quiet opened his mouth about to say that Dragons were just too sensitive, but when he saw Jack's eyes start to glow he thought against it.

"Never mind."

Baldur felt that was very smart.

"Good. Jack, you up for that fight now?"

Jack was always up for a fight.

"No better time than now. Plus, when we are done we might as well stop by the eleven cities to see what has them up in arms this time."

Baldur felt that was a good idea. Alfheim had been at peace for the past 250 years. The Elves had stopped fighting and just now things were starting to get turmulous.

"True, I want to see what caused their previous treaty to fall apart. After we have our fun, we can stop by the main neutral city, Imethtalos. It was built after the peace treaty 250 years ago was signed."

Jack agreed with that.

"Sounds good, let's go then."

Baldur raised his arms and from the sky, a pillar of the Bifrost came down which took their entire group as they began to leave Nidavellir for Alfheim the realm of the Elves. While everyone was inside the Pillar of Alfheim, Akeno had one thing to say.

"I now see why the dwarves get torched by the dragons they hire so much."

Baldur laughed as it happened so many times yet the Dwarves had yet to learn. Then again, they did keep hiring dragons since weapons made in Dragon Fire were just better.

"It is unfortunate, but dwarves do not know when to shut up. Dragons are known to be prideful and run by their emotions so a dwarf running his mouth off has the effect of causing tempers to run high."

At that moment the Bifrost landed in Alfheim and since each of the nine realms was massive, the size of several continents was in the case of the larger realms. Valhalla was equally vast with a large wilderness outside of the main city of the Aesir.

As such, when they arrived in Alfheim they did so in a large open field that was away from the population centers. When gods and dragons started fighting, there was always collateral damage.

Yet, when their group landed in Alfheim, they all took note that the realm was in a state of darkness. Rossweisse who came with them began to say what she knew of the peace treaty of the Elves.

"From what I remember, when the elves agreed to have peace, both races agreed to protect the light of Alfheim. Through magic, they control when it lights the realm."

Jack turned to her as he had questions.

"I see, but if that is the case what has caused their peace treaty to start getting broken."

Baldur had a few ideas.

"Well, it isn't like I don't know, I just wanted to see it for myself. The thing is that the Light and Dark Elves are split into several dynasties. The Dark Elves have their massive dark fortresses, castles, and manors as they are militaristic and believe in survival of the fittest.

The Light Elves on the other hand build cities that are closer to nature, sometimes literally building their homes in the trees. With how large Alfheim is, there are several kingdoms of Light and Dark Elves.

In the oldest, biggest, and strongest Dark Elf kingdom, their crown prince, Malekith rose to power 100 years ago. He is part of the Druki royal family of the Drukhari Kingdom. His power over is extraordinary and he is at the moment gathering allies among the traditionalists of every kingdom.

Light and Dark Elves both as he himself is a hybrid of both. The old and bitter Dark and Light Elves that dislike the standing peace are flocking to his banner. He called all of them and they are answering the call."

Rossweisse recoiled at the mention of that damned place.

"Aren't they hated by all other Dark Elves as that kingdom is a place of slavers, dark mages, and torturous. They even enslave their own people and their cities are dangerous lawless places."

Baldur nodded.

"They were and are by most, the other Dark Elf Kingdoms won't stand with Malekith and the Light Elves will not stand by while he gets aggressive. My Father has decided that in the case that Maleketih declares war, we are allowed to intervene."

Jack grinned as that sounded fun.

"Count me in, I always wanted to crush a prince under my heel."

An imaginary thought bubble rose from Akeno's head where she imagined the scene. She began to grin her usual sadistic grin that everyone knew well at this point. They all got away from her as she could be really scary.

Baldur patted him on the back before he began to walk away.

"We can go check up on things in a bit, first let's try these babies out."

He looked at the gauntlets on his hands, but he knew beating Jack was out of the question. However, he fought Jack anyway because every fight he lost was more experience to not lose later.

Jack turned to the girls with him as he brought out his two Sacred Gears. Procellarum Phantom after several years bound to his soul, Apophis had begun to spread her influence into them.

That caused the plates of metal to grow even darker, they continuously released a dark mist that began to destroy everything around him. Aya, Moka, Rossweisse, and Akeno backed away as Jack was terrible in group fights.

He could not have others fight near him as his abillities were all tailored to murder. He extended his right hand up as the Abyssal Eclipse Gear appeared on his right arm. The dark gauntlet containing the soul of Apophis released a potent aura.

"Apophis."

[Right then, Sub Species Balance Breaker: Embodiment of the Primordial Abyss.]

His shadow much like his original Balance Breaker released a flood of the Dark Primordial Water. That also surged toward Jack and encased him in the stuff to form his armor. The difference was that four years was a long time.

In those four years, Apophis finally managed to begin to take control of the trace amounts of Ophis' Energy that formed the core of the Diabolos Dragon God Armor. Apophis' Power merged with Ophis' which formed Jack's unique Sub-Species.

It was much stronger than his basic Balance Breaker and Jack had only used it a few times. As the Primordial Water compressed down, a massive explosion of dark purple energy blasted in all directions from Jack.

Rossweisse, Akeno, and Moka raised their hands and they formed a barrier around their group. Aya while she could use magic, wasn't as good as the other three as she was more of a close-up brawler. Even then, they all watched on as the surge of power fell down.

It revealed Jack's new set of armor which was less bulky than his original Balance breaker. It wasn't just more streamlined, the purple glow that emanated it was brighter than Apophis' energy.

This new armor enhanced all his abillities by a factor of 100 making it twice as powerful as his original. As Jack raised his head, he looked at Baldur before he decided to apologize.

"Sorry Baldur, you are going to help me test out my new technique."

Baldur just grinned as he raised his hands.

"Go ahead."

From Jack's back, his four sets of Draconic wings emerged and in a surprising twist separated from his back. His eight wings simply fell off his back and in a flash of light turned into eight small black and purple wyverns no bigger dogs that began to fly around Jack.

As Baldur looked at those small wyverns he was confused.

"Your wings?"

Jack grinned as he charged forward and by combining Apophis' power with Ophis he bent space around him. As he teleported in front of Baldur, two of the dragons landed on his fist and when he punched Baldur they used their power.

[Divide, Divide.]

Baldur suddenly felt his energy get cut in half twice and it was all drained away flowing into Jack's body. Apophis was there to manage it and she directed all that power to Jack.

His Mana, Ki, and Divine Energy began surging and his small Wyverns began to spin around him.

[Boost, Boost, Boost, Boost, Boost, Boost Boost, Boost.]

All eight used Boost on him and having his power doubled eight times resulted in his power increasing by a factor of 256 times. With his armor's increase of 100, that meant his power was 25,600 times its power.

All that power seemed to cause all of Alfheim to be encased in a titanic Dark Field Barrier that caused the Light of Alfheim to cease. He placed the entire realm of Alfheim in a world of pure darkness where he was God.

Aya, Moka, Rossweisse, and Akeno all collapsed at the sheer pleasure of being this close to Jack when he got to this high of a level. However, it was not all sunshine and rainbows. Jack wasn't supposed to get that high and the power was overwhelming him.

[JACK! VENT IT! YOU'RE GOING TO EXPLODE!]

Jack grit his teeth as he had overestimated what he could endure. By trying to push himself he nearly killed himself. If he didn't fix this he would go nuclear and that wasn't going to be good for the Nine Realms.

Just as he was going to do something, he felt a hand touch the main gem of his armor. Suddenly, all that enormous power began to be drained out of him causing his Balance Breaker to fall apart.

As his armor fell apart he coughed up a huge amount of blood as Boosting to such a high level ravaged his internals. He fell forward only to have someone catch him in her arms.

"I got you."

He didn't respond for a few moments as he just enjoyed being caught in a nice pair of breasts.

"Thanks."

His savior, Ophis hugged his head close. It was funny as she was only 5'7 while he was 6'10, but she did save his life. Once she knew he wasn't going to fall down she let go of his hand and helped him up.

"Will you survive?"

He nodded.

"I will. I just shredded my internals, but at least you dealt with the energy. Thanks for that."

Ophis who had been drawn here by not just the massive amount of power he had acquired for a few moments, but by energy that felt just like her own. Plus, she felt she had found what she was looking for.

As for Jack, he just looked at Ophis as she looked just like he knew her to, long black hair, mature, feminine, cold grey eyes, dark purple dress.

"You have questions right?"

She nodded.

"Several."

"I can answer them. Can it wait a few moments?"

She glanced at the girls who from the look of it were picking themselves up. Baldur was fine, just a bit rattled by having Ophis here.

"I can wait."

"Thank you."

He pulled out a vial of Pheonix Tears Azazel got him and he opened it before he drank it. He then felt his internal injuries healing as he retuned to the side of his group.

"You girls ok?"

Akeno nodded as she sat up.

"Yeah, were fine, but how did you do that?"

"It's a trick I learned, by detaching my wings I can turn them into Wyverns that can use my powers. I used the Boost that came from the original Twice Critical by Sacred Gear used to be. I just went at it too much and almost exploded."

Aya snorted.

"That sounds like you. Now, leave us here and go talk to the Dragon God. Unless she eats us."

Ophis appeared next to them and from the look of it, she was well amused.

"I can hear you girl."

Aya shut up at that and bowed her head.

"I apologize for my outburst."

Ophis glanced at Jack before she teleported them both away. She didn't go far, just a couple thousand meters away as she felt Jack had secrets. When they were away from the others she turned to him.

"Alright then, explain why you have portions of my power inside your armor. That and what feels like Great Red?"

"Would you believe me if I said the Multiverse is real?"

She raised one of her eyebrows before she thought about it.

"Go on, now I am curious."

He nodded.

"Alright then. It starts like this."

He then went on to explain his circumstances as Ophis wasn't very malicious. If he could tell anyone, it was her and he could possibly gain out of this. Either a Snake or Ophis' Blessing. Either would be benefitial to his fuutre.
