Chapter 4 - An Old Fool's Demise

Two years after his accident and moving to Japan, Jack was meditating and floating above his bed. On his lap was a huge fluffy cat enjoying the feeling of the Mana rolling off his body A thin, but potent Black Aura burned almost like fire flowed from his body. He continued to levitate just off the sheer force of his Mana and his focus.

Two years ago, he had been a normal eight-year-old boy and now, thanks to the memories he had unlocked he was changed. Through efforts and the teaching of Apophis, he had become something above humans.

He also had a plan to transcend his human limits, as he was planning to trade his heart and lungs to gain the organs of a dragon. He was waiting for the right moment as his strength gains had yet to fully slow down.

Thanks to the merger with his other self, his starting point had been higher than others. According to Apophis, through merging with his other self and his constant training he could confidently call him an Ultimate Class being. However, Apophis did make sure to remind him that just because he was in Ultimate Class didn't mean he could challenge those at the top.

The Ultimate Class had a giant divide between the peak and bottom. Those at the peak of the Ultimate Class could face gods like Grayfia Lucifuge, The Satans, Azazel, Michael, and many others. Those at the beginning of it were weaker than those monsters, but still not to be trifled with.

If he came face to face with someone like Satanael or Kokabiel, he would be hard-pressed to win without the Balance Breaker. Those two were still peak Ultimate Class beings and were a superior species to humans.

However, he could bridge the gap when the time came to relinquish his humanity to follow the path of a Dragon. That or he found a Fallen Angel to kill to take their bloodline. He rather become a Fallen Angel than a Devil as he would gain all the benefits without the downsides.

Speaking of Fallen Angels, he closed his eyes which were like two Black Voids. He didn't stop levitating as a magic purple circle appeared above him. The circle came down and enveloped him and Amara before teleporting him to his room.

Amara jumped off his lap allowing him to stand up. Once he was standing on the roof he popped his neck and popped his fingers.

[You sensed it didn't you?]

"I did a powerful Holy Aura in the vicinity. A Fallen Angel yes?"

[Correct. It seems that someone in Grigori might know of your Sacred Gear, or they suspect it. Azazel is obsessed with Sacred Gears. Look what he did to me.]

"He seems cool not going to lie."

[Sure.]

Amara meowed as she jumped off the roof so he followed. They both landed easily on the ground without issue so Jack began to use his sensory abillities to sense his surroundings.

Even Amara began to sniff the ground as she could smell the magic. Together through the darkness of the night snuck around the neighborhood looking for their target. As it turns out he barely had anything to fear as he and Amara quickly found their target.

He and Amara materialized from the darkness on top of a roof looking down at the street. Walking through the streets late at night as an odd man. He was wearing an all-black suit looking more like a refined noble. He wasn't hiding his aura which Apophis and Jack could feel.

[This guy isn't anything great, but he is above average. High Middle-Class Fallen Angel, he either had two sets or maybe three sets of wings. This guy will be good material to give you the upgrade you want.]

'I am going on.'

He held his right hand out as the Abyssal Eclipse Gear appeared. He jumped down from the roof landing with the grace of a cat. Speaking of the cat, Amara landed on his shoulder perfectly, but the sound caused the Fallen Angel to turn around.

He had short white hair, a thin mustache, and a long beard. His eyes were hidden behind an old-style pair of glasses.

"Ah, there you are. The Sacred Gear holder I have been looking for."

Jack with Amara on his shoulder began to walk in a circle and the Fallen Angel did the same.

"I will ask this once, Fallen. Are you here to communicate, or eliminate me? Because if it is the former, I am all ears. If you contact Azazel for me, I am sure we can discuss something mutually beneficial. If it is the latter, I will kill you where you stand."

The Fallen chuckled as he ran a hand down his beard.

"Sorry to say this is an elimination mission. Can't have a loose cog like you running the balance. Besides, who says I work for Azazel."

Jack scoffed as he heard that.

"You think you have what it takes? No offense, but you should have brought friends."

Still, with an aged smile, the Fallen shook his head.

"I have been doing this a long time boy. My name is Raziel, you may remember it in the afterlife."

"Raziel? Thank you for being polite about it, I should give you the same courtesy."

Jack slammed his right foot onto the ground before he raised a Dark Field Barrier one of Apophis' unique Abillities. The Barrier functioned the same as a Bounded Field, only that inside of it would create a world of perpetual darkness.

In his barrier, not a single speck of light meaning he was at his strongest in the darkness. The abillities of Apophis and his host were enhanced in the Darkness meaning Jack was King in this black world.

When the space got isolated he raised his right arm.

[Boost.]

"I am Jack Owens, the Abyssal Eclipse Emperor, and you are nothing, but gauntlet food."

'Mana Acceleration, Mana Reinforcement, Thought Acceleration.'

From the Darkness, what seemed like liquid Darkness flowed around Jack and Amara coating them in the Primordial Water. They were immune to its effects, but no one else was. Their armor was a toxic substance that could kill gods.

Jack seemed to vanish into the darkness as he traveled through it like a Primordial Predator of a Dark Sea. As for Raziel, he was horrified as even when it was night before, he could see perfectly. Here he couldn't see anything, he couldn't sense anything.

But the cold dark embrace of the dark. He raised his hands and created a spear and sword of light to light up this Dark World. Only that his Light Weapons crumbled away swallowed by the darkness that wouldn't allow any light.

He also didn't get another chance as Jack emerged from the darkness right in front of him. When he did reach him, he twisted around and he threw a devastating kick to Raziel's gut. When Jack's blow-handed, the organs inside Raziel's chest seemed to liquefy under the force.

Raziel spat out a mix of blood and bile as Jack's kick destroyed him from the inside. Amara decided to get her prize and she pounced from Jack's shoulder with gleaming Mana Infused Claws.

She rushed past Raziel while swiping out with her claws. She instantly took out both of his eyes showing that while he may have been experienced, experience didn't account for Jack or Amara.

He didn't even scream as he was dead the moment that Jack hit him. Since Jack could bench 10 tons at his base, that hit must have been around 20 tons of force all directed into his stomach. Then Amara just went for the prize.

Jack then pulled back his right leg as he watched Raziel fall to the ground dead. Before it could escape, he aimed his right hand forward and the soul of the Fallen was sucked into the large black gem of his Sacred Gear.

The Dark Field Barrier and The Primordial Water he used as armor were about to dissolve Raziel, but Jack simply called it all back into his shadow. In a surge of shadows, the Dark Field Barrier and the Dark were gone.

"If you had just talked it out, you would be rewarded and Azazel would have a new friend. Instead, you had to be a bitch, now you're dead. I am thankful because of you I will become stronger than ever. Well done Amara with the eyes."

She meowed as she licked his paws like a normal cat. For now, Jack kneeled and he grabbed the body of Razie with the Abyssal Eclipse Gear. He focused on it and a dark light enveloped the corpse before dragging it into his gauntlet.

[There we are, as soon as you find a chance I will be able to give you this Fallen Angel's Powers. By feeding it to your Sacred Gear, I should have what it takes whatever meager power he had, and refine it.]

"Good to know. I think that is everything."

Amara jumped onto his shoulder and once he had his cat a second teleport circle teleported him back home. When he appeared in his room, he patted himself on the back.

"I do anything wrong Apophis?"

[No, your use of the Dark Field Barrier was good. Not as good as I could do it, but you are getting there. The Primordial Water coating was ok, and your use of the darkness was also ok. I am also happy to say that I have managed to analyze the Boost well.]

"Does that mean I can do it endlessly like the Boosted Gear?"

[Yes, but no. From my estimation, if you Boost past 8 you will start to put a lot of strain on the Abyssal Eclipse Gear. You do get to understand this Sacred Gear is artificially crafted. Azazel and Ajuka could only do so much while working on one of God's prototypes of the Boosted Gear.]

"That is too bad, but then again, your powers are good enough."

[Thank you for saying that, but that is not to say there is no solution. That boy, Issei Hyoudou, is the answer to this. From the old Jack, he told me a secret. That Issei when he was first starting fought the White Dragon Emperor and he managed to break his Balance Breaker.

He then absorbed a Gem of the broken Divine Dividing Balance Breaker and took power from it. You will have to do the same with the Scail Mail of the Boosted Gear. Take one of the Gems and feed it to your Sacred Gear.

Since this Sacred Gear was originally a Twice Critical, that should feed the fragment of Ddraig's Power that I assimilated.]

"If we do that enough, wouldn't that make you one of the strongest Dragons alive?"

[Hahaha, Jack I already am. Ddraig, Albion, Azi Dahaka, or Crom Cruach could take me on in my prime. As I am now, I may technically be weaker, but I have stolen the strongest power of Ddraig for my own.

Sure, it may not be to the level of the creator, but it is enough that I could even defeat Crom Cruach or Azi Dahaka by myself.]

"In that case, guess I will just have to beat them in your stead. Now, how are we doing this to give me the Fallen Angel's Powers."

[Right then, focus on your Sacred Gear. Sit on your bed and enter your Soul Space.]

Jack did just that sitting in his bed. He placed his gauntleted Right Hand on his lap while placing his left hand on it. He closed his eyes as he focused on the bond he shared with Apophis.

Quickly enough he appeared inside his Soul Scape. Here, was a world of perpetual Darkness, he was standing in a black sea of Primordial Water. The 'sky' was made of darkness and here was Apophis the Primal Eclipse Dragon.

He was a massive black Eastern Dragon exceeding one hundred meters in length making him bigger than Great Red. He had gems along his body which released a shimmering, silvery glow. He had three eyes upon his head which released the same silvery glow as his gems.

Apophis seemed at home here, but what was different was that on his chest where the silvery gems should be were bright red burning gems. They stood out among the darkness that covered the gigantic dragon.

"Should that be there?"

Apophis glanced down at his chest with interest.

"Ah, that is the power of Ddraig. In the gem I was sealed in which was placed as the core of your Sacred Gear was not just his power, but that of Great Red and Ophis. They are in the Sacred Gear itself, but even I don't have control of them. As for this, it is the sign of my evolution."

Jack nodded to himself as he approached the coiled dragon. Once he was close Apophis slinked closer coiling around him. Jack didn't know what he was expecting, but for the gigantic Apophis to suddenly turn into a sea of darkness was not it.

That darkness then collapsed into itself revealing the human form of Apophis. What he saw was not what he was expecting. When the shadows burst apart, a gorgeous dark-skinned goddess-like woman was revealed to his eyes.

Jack blinked a few times as he had to crane his head up to look as Apophis was almost half a foot taller than he was.

"I didn't know you were a woman."

Apophis scoffed as she ran her hand through her hair which shimmered like diamonds.

"Not like I flaunt it after all. Even the other Jack always called me dude, bro, or by my name. It isn't a very important thing to me, because I could always just shapeshift into any form I desire."

Jack did take in her form, but he had a question.

"Why the cat ears?"

Apophis smirked.

"I thought you might like them, so should I remove them?"

He shrugged.

"Still ten remember."

Apophis scoffed as she seemingly teleported next to him.

"Right. Might as well get this over with."

She waved her hand and from the dark sea came out the corpse of Raziel still looking as if he had meat a horror beyond compare. Then from the dark emerged his soul as well which was like the only light in a world of darkness.

Apophis glanced at Jack before explaining a bit.

After analyzing his body and soul I can safely say this guy had two pairs of wings, but he was on the brink of having three. You will start with one pair and it will be up to you to draw out the power from your new bloodline.

It won't be quick since Raziel just doesn't have that much talent in his blood. You will need a stronger one in the future."

Jack knew of two good ones.

"Kokabiel and Satanael are on the menu. I am ready."

Apophis held her hand out to the body and soul causing them to begin to collapse into themselves. The body of Raziel was reduced to a bright crimson orb of blood. The same happened to the soul as it was reduced to a small stone of soul energy.

Apophis then waved her hands and brought them together into a brightly crimson glowing orb of blood.

"There we are, an artificial blood essence like those Chinese Cultivators"

She then with a flick of her finger caused it to enter Jack's body. However, since this was not his real body and more of a soul manifestation he was shot out of his Soul Scape back into his body.

Already he could feel his body and soul assimilating the new blood essence of a Fallen Angel. He closed his eyes and he started to meditate not allowing even a shred of energy to escape him.

While Raziel was weak, his race wasn't. It would make Jack one of the most dangerous beings in this world. Without his human limitations, he would soar like a Tiger with Wings.
