Natasha's POV:
Holding my teacher's hand, we left the room we always used for reading. My teacher has huge dark circles under her eyes as she walks unsteadily. I can't help but feel proud for leaving my teacher in such a sorry state.
- Witches really don't stand a chance against monsters!
As I puffed out my chest, my teacher looked at me coldly as she lowered her head until she was level with my eyes. She looked into my eyes for a few seconds and then began to pull my cheeks as hard as she could. Moans of pain escaped my deformed lips as I tried to pull her hands away from my face without success.
- T-teacher... it hurts...
- That's what you get for going against your teacher!
As I felt my cheeks being torn off, she continued to play with them for a while until a satisfied sigh came out of her lips. She gave me a strange look and finally let go of my cheeks, now deformed and red from all the mistreatment.
- Uhhhhh
I could only let out a pitiful moan as I rubbed my sore cheeks. For some reason my teacher had a satisfied look in her eyes as she touched her hands.
- I could get used to this…
A small chill ran down my spine at those words. I couldn't help but look at her coldly as she continued in her own world. Noticing my gaze, she quickly stood up and crouched down in front of me again. I thoughtlessly raised my hands to my cheeks in order to protect them. She simply laughed as she caressed my head.
- I'm sorry, I'm sorry, forgive me okay?
I couldn't help but feel some annoyance at my teacher's attitude. Sometimes I feel like she's more childish than me.
- Come on, you don't have to be upset okay? Take it as we're tied for last night okay?
I touched my face as if to confirm if my expression had changed, but it was still exactly the same as always.
"I was read by my teacher again… I don't know why, but it bothers me a little that she can read me so easily."
Despite my internal complaints, in the end I felt that if anyone was capable of understanding a monster, it would be my teacher. Stopping stroking my head, my teacher stood up and held out her hand for me to take.
"Come on, don't stand there sad, I can stroke your head for as long as you want later."
Her comment made me realize that I had raised my hands to my head before I realized it. Not quite understanding why, I simply nodded and took my teacher's hand. We walked down a mysterious, pure white hallway. Even though I knew it was a hallway, the walls could hardly be said to exist. It was more like the hallway extended limitlessly in all directions in an infinite manner. I previously followed my teacher down this hallway until she disappeared into a door that floated in this vast void. Right now we are going in the opposite direction of that door. Before I knew it, another 7 doors suddenly appeared in the middle of the void that seemed to be a hallway. I thoughtlessly hid behind my teacher, watching the doors cautiously. Suddenly several of them opened in unison and several women of all sizes and ages came out.
- Ohhhh, look who came out of her burrow!
A girl who looked like a teenager came out of her door and immediately went to my teacher. Despite her friendly tone, my teacher didn't seem to get along with her.
"Her smile is scary."
- My, my, if she's not the drug witch, what brings you here, drug addict?
- Hahaha, as expected from a mangy beast, she can't understand the charm of the potions I make. I guess asking a beast to understand the value of a good perfume is really impossible.
Both of them looked at each other with some tension in the air. It seemed like they were about to throw themselves at each other's necks. Suddenly a lightning bolt struck between them literally, causing them both to step back sharply.
- Calm down you two, this is not the time to fight. You had something important to discuss, didn't you Judith?
A small witch who looked like an old woman stood between them.
- Cathelaya... you're right, I can't face the drug addict right now.
Although the teenage witch seemed to want to retort, Cathelaya watched her coldly. The teenage witch simply fell silent while snorting.
Once they all left their respective doors, together they headed towards the end of the hallway until they reached a pair of double doors that suddenly appeared just like the others.
All the witches entered the room, the curious room looked like a very extravagant living room with expensive furniture and a coffee table that looked perfect for making tea. The witches sat on the sofas while they looked around intrigued. For some reason the witches' expressions distorted greatly when they entered the room. After everyone sat in their respective seats, I didn't know where to stand. Before I could ask my teacher grabbed me and sat me on her lap. When my teacher was about to speak, Cathelaya raised her hand and asked to speak.
- Judith, I know very well that the topic you are going to talk about is very important but before that... we have to do something about it.
Without saying another word, she glanced at the teenage witch. She got up from her seat and went straight to where my teacher and I were.
- Thanks for mentioning it grandma, I really almost threw up when I entered the room.
Before I could figure out what she meant, she grabbed a strange looking bottle from her bag and pointed it at us. Before my teacher could react, she sprayed some of its contents on us, spreading it evenly. Both my teacher and I were stunned.
- Hey, what are you...?
When the teenage witch finished, the other witches breathed in unison as if they had been holding their breath the whole time.
- Thanks Carla, you really saved us here, I thought I was going to faint.
- It's really great to have you here in these kinds of situations.
Two witches who looked about my teacher's age sighed in relief.
- I'm glad you realized the greatness of my power.
The teenage witch Carla puffed out her chest in pride as she was praised by the other witches in the room.
- Hey junkie, could you explain what that was all about?
Faced with my teacher's aggressiveness, Carla did nothing but sigh.
- Do I really have to spell it out for you? That child you're carrying on your lap stinks of blood and dirt… do you even bathe her properly?
- Of course I bathe her properly! My boys are in charge of keeping her clean.
A cold silence spread through the room, apparently my teacher's cleaning habits are not very popular among the other witches.
- Hihihi, witches of this generation really are very soft. They can barely handle blood and severed limbs.
A witch who looked like an old woman spoke to the audience, even though Cathelaya also looked to be quite old, she seemed much more messy and evil. She is what you would call the spitting image of what a witch is.
- No one asked for your opinion Emily.
Carla confronted the other witch as she glanced at her out of the corner of her eye.
"Though she has an oddly cute name for her appearance."
- Hihihi, thank you, miss.
Her eyes pierced me as she answered what I had thought. I couldn't help but grab my teacher's arm and cover myself with it to escape her disturbing gaze.
- Leave her alone old hag.
My teacher covered me while looking at Emily. She just gave her a giggle as she looked at my teacher.
- Enough, you had something to report didn't you Judith?
- Yes Cathelaya, thank you for helping me regain my senses.
With Carla already in her place and the other witches looking at my teacher, the meeting began.
