Liam felt his heart racing as he saw the scene, Jack was motionless on the ground and looked lifeless.
Sophia's eyes turned sharp as she raised her hand.

The air ran wild mmediately as Sophia said those words and then Max who was relishing from drinking Jack's bloodwas thrown into the air and crashed on the bunk's edge.
Max roared in pain, his mouth dripping with blood.
Then his eyes reverted black to normal, when he saw Jack lying on the floor motionless soaked in his own blood his eyes widened.
Liam's eyes reddened as he rushed to Jack who was on the floor.
"What have you done?" Liam shouted as he stared at Max.
His image of Max as a vampire crumbled and he just saw him as a monster.
"I....I ..didn't mean to." Max stammered.
Liam stared at Max icily then he turned to Sophia.
"Please do something." Liam begged.
Sophia touched Jack's neck and slowly shook her head.
"He is out cold and only have 10 seconds left, his heart is weak and can't beat anymore."
"Please, please save him, I can't live with this if he dies." Max pleaded.
Liam's expression depicted the same feelings as Max although he didn't say anything.
Sophia stared for a while at Jack who was on the floor and then the faces of Liam and Max, then she sighed.
"You owe me a lot Liam." Sophia said as she took out a talisman out of nowhere and put it on top of Jack's chest.
Her expression was painful as she put it there
She had been saving up those talismans for when they were really needed, for her self or someone who she couldn't bear to lose.
But now she used up three today on total strangers, how could she not be pained.
Liam stared at the ordinary white paper cut in a rectangle shape that was placed on Jack's heart.
The paper looked ordinary so how could it save Jack?
Just then the paper disintegrated and dissolved into Jack's chest.
Jack's face which was as white as paper slowly recovered and his breathing intensified.
Liam sighed in relief and the turned towards Sophia.
"Thank you." It was two words but Liam felt very grateful, he didn't want to lose another person in his life no matter how small the space they contained in his heart was.
"Welcome." Sophia replied and then turned towards Max.
Max who was by the side although similarly grateful didn't say anything after all he was the cause of all these.
"Maybe it'd be better you died for good." Sophia's voice sounded icily in the room.
Max face lost some color when he heard Sophia's words and he took some steps back.
"Max will never do this with his mind clear.", Liam's voice cut thought the air.
"Thats the scary things about vampire, they are lunatics with or without their brains." Sophia replied as she took a step towards Max. Her eyes were starting to shine brightly.
Liam walked up to her and held her hand, Sophia looked at him with her bright eyes.
"You can't kill him Sophia, I can't let you do that." Liam said staring at her.
"So, you want to try and stop me? Leny was right, I shouldn't help a vampire." Sophia said robotically.
Liam could sense that her emotions were all over the place, he didnt know what Vampires had to do with her parents but he knew that she had zero love for vampires.
"Hey, hey listen, I don't know what Vampires have to do with your parents but I know you don't want to be a killer, it's not his fault that he is a vampire and I believe that Max is different, he will learn to put himself on check with time." Liam said with the gentlest voice he could muster.
Sophia went silent for a while and then her eyes dimmed.
She stared at Max who looked lifeless then she brought out a ring and threw it towards Max.
"Better learn quick." Sophia said as she walked away from the room.
Liam stared at Sophia's fading figure and then stared at Max.
"Thank you " Max said to Liam.
Liam paused for a bit but didn't reply.
Max stared at the ring Sophia gave her and then he wore it, then he walked up to the curtains and opened it.
This time around the sun rays didn't burn him, it felt normal. Liam who was by the side watching every of Max's actions breathed a sigh of relief.
Sophia wasn't heartless after all
Jack laid unconscious for a long time, but he was breathing soundly.
The silence in the room was suffocating, Liam didn't say anything even after freshening up and was doing nothing.
Max couldn't bear it anymore.
"Man I didn't mean to do that." He began.
"I know ." Liam replied and everywhere fell silent again.
"You don't want to know what happened?" Max asked.
"What am I suppose to use that knowledge for?" Liam turned around this time and stared at Max. He wasn't happy in the least. Even though he knew that Max didnt do it on purpose he was just annoyed that he nearly lost a friend today.
"It's Jack, Jack knows what I am."
What?!
"How did he know that?" Liam's eyes opened wide.
"I don't know, I was hiding in that area behind the wall where the sun couldn't reach, after you left Lucas also left for lectures leaving me and Jack alone."
"Then Jack suddenly walked up to me while looking at me strangely, then he asked what do I had to do with blood " Max continued.
"At first I didn't know what he meant because the question came too sudden, then the next second Jack cut his hand open and dripped the blood in front of me, I was shocked and couldn't hold back my self after smelling the strong stench of blood and then..." Max paused staring at Liam.
Liam was shocked, he thought that even as Jack was on the floor, he'd have no memory about who Max was because it must have happened suddenly and knocked him out.
But he was wrong, the genesis of everything was because Jack knew!!!
