Jack was still unconscious. But Liam felt like he had to contact Sophia to help wipe away Jack's memory.
But he didn't have her number and couldn't get her. But just then a paper magically formed in the air and landed slowly in his hand. Liam was shocked by the scene.
On the paper it wrote:
"I forgot to tell you, a life talisman was used on your friend and I can't wipe away his memory so if he has any prior memory of what happened before he died then he will be able to remember clearly."
Damn!
Liam cursed as he stood up, this was bad news.
Max saw the paper form magically, although he didn't know it's content, he knew it wasn't good news.
Just then Jack coughed softly and opened his eyes.
Liam's heart beat increased immediately as Jack slowly opened his eyes.
Jack who was on the bed slowly sat up, when he saw Max, he immediately got up looking frightened.
"You...you.." Jack stuttered as he pointed at Max, his face twitched with fearful emotions.
Max bent his head, he couldn't look Jack in the eye.
"Jack calm down." Liam said as he drew closer to Jack in a bid to comfort him.
"Monster...Mon..ster.. the both of you are monsters." Jack stammered as he ran for the door, Max tried to stop him but.
"Leave him, let him be." Liam shook his head, they had to let him be for now, Jack emotions were all over the place after finding out what they were hiding.
Jack slammed the door behind him.
"What if he reports us to the police or something." Max asked worriedly.
"He won't, at least for now." Liam shook his head, their relationship was stronger than that, he'd do it later on, but for now? He will have to spend sometime thinking about the shock he saw.
The day slowly went by.
Liam meanwhile had a problem of his own he was thinking about.
Earlier today he tore through a monster's heart with claws but now he couldn't bring out those claws. It was like he wasn't the one that showcased such power this morning.
He tried all he could but nothing happened.
"Claws!!" Liam yelled as he swiped and jumped all over the room but nothing.
Max watched him incredulously, he didn't understand what Liam was doing.
"What's wrong with you?" Max asked.
Liam took a deep breath and then explained what happened earlier today. Liam had to talk to Max. It wasn't Max's fault that he was a vampire.
Max couldn't control himself yet.
Max eyes opened and he stood up in surprise as he heard Liam's story.
"You can't be a vampire too right?" Max asked.
Liam rolled his eyes.
"Bro the sun was cool today." Liam said as he sat down on the floor, his face gloomy.
"Sophia might know what I am but after hearing about the demon I killed she was suddenly tensed, saying something about how they were unable to enter our world." Liam said after thinking a little.
Max raised his eye brows, "Those demons are not from here?"
"I don't know man she refused to say a thing." Liam said.
"You should call Evelyn to know how she is, remember she was almost killed because of you, she'd find it strange that she ended up in a forest." Max said changing the topic.
Liam smacked his head in shame, this was the girl he admired for her beauty, so how could he forget to check up on her.
Picking up his phone he dialed her number.
Ring! Ring!
After ringing for a while nobody picked up.
Liam tried several times, but same response, nothing.
Liam frowned slightly.
Just then a call came into the phone, it wrote "Coach Eric" Evelyn's brother.
Why is he calling, is she not back yet? Sophia said she'd recover herself and wouldn't remember a thing, so she was supposed to be at home by now.
"Hello?" Liam said as he answered the call.
"Is Evelyn there with you? And if she is, please help me ask her why she isn't picking up her calls." Eric's deep voice sounded from the other end.
"No..no she is not here." Liam frowned as he replied.
"She is not there? It's been six hours since I told her to bring you over, I didn't see you and I didn't see her, didn't you see her today?"
"I...I ..did but I told her that I couldn't make it so she left." Liam stammered.
Silence fell in the phone call. Then Eric ended the call.
Liam could tell he was worried. But Liam was more worried because he thought by now she'd be at home.
Liam paced back and forth in the room with worry, after several hours of trying her line and he couldn't get her, he decded to go to the spot where he and Sophia left her.
Liam felt like Evelyn might be in trouble!
It was already evening and neither Jack nor Lucas was back.
Meanwhile in a dark room a girl was tied to a chair and her face covered, everywhere was dark and the room had debris and scattered irons in it.
She struggled in muffled sounds but nobody was around to hear her out.
"She is not the one that murdered Kai el, she is just a human, remember that the Noremus human told us not to kill anybody but Kai el must have gotten himself into trouble with a werewolf or vampire to be killed so brutally." A woman's voice sounded in a far corner of the room.
"She has his smell Karen, and she has to die." A middle aged man replied his face solemn.
"Prince Atticus you have to be careful, something is odd about the atmosphere in this school, the roar of Kal el seemed to be heard by mortals so I'd advice we maintain our cover." The woman adviced.
"Humans started this Karen, Kal el is one of our best talent, what do you think Master Arcarus will say when he founds out that Kal el is dead?"
Karen went silent after hearing Atticus. Then after thinking for awhile she still shook her head.
"Atticus you are well aware that a mystical figure might be protecting this human girl and that was why Kal el died, so I will still advice you to leave this girl untouched."
Atticus went silent for awhile and then shook his head.
"I will still have to kill some humans and I will start with her, I want revenge!" Atticus yelled.
