It was already 6:48pm and it was pretty late.
Liam dashed along the streets of the school, as he ran his sharp hearing picked up different discussions from many students.
And the major topic among the students almost made him trip and fall.
They heard it?
The students heard the soumd of the demon this morning!!!
Liam was shocked, he thought that it was only 'specs' that could hear such sound.
But his mind was occupied with Evelyn for now so he continued to dash towards the forest behind the school. By the time he got there it was already dark.
Liam frantically searched the whole place but couldn't find any sign of Evelyn.
This is strange, where did she go to?
Liam asked himself in confusion.
Ring Ring Ring
Liam's phone buzzed in his pockets, picking the phone up, it was Eric calling.
He answered the call after hesitating a bit.
"She's not back yet Liam, do you have any idea where she might be, she has never done this before." For the first time Liam heard Eric sound shaky and panicked.
"Um..... I don't have any idea, maybe she went out with her friends or something." Liam answered.
"And her phone is ringing without her picking up? Something is wrong somewhere, Evelyn is my Junior sister and I know what she can and can't do." Eric said in one breath.
Liam could tell that Eric was very worried.
Liam fell silent, he didn't know what to say to Eric.
Tell him that he left Evelyn in the forest unconscious? That would be the same as seeking death!
The call ended after the long silence.
Liam wiped his forehead in worry. It was already nighttime and it seemed like there was nothing he could do.
Unknown to Liam a man, very young man in his early 20's monitored Liam's every movement and then walked away in a hurry.
In the dark room, Atticus walked towards the girl tied to the iron chair and removed the black cloth on her head.
After the face was revealed, it was shockingly that of Evelyn!
Fear filled her eyes as she stared at the man in front of her.
A tape sealed her mouth and she couldn't say a thing apart from muffled sounds.
Evelyn was frightened, she could tell that she was kidnapped, she couldn't remember a thing of how it happened but she just found her self here.
"Young girl, I will start with you, humans started this so you'd have to die and then another and another and another." Atticus yelled maniacally as he brought his face towards Evelyn.
"Prince Atticus, I think I found who killed Kal el." A voice interrupted Atticus who was about to kill Evelyn.
Atticus slowly turned, his eyes bloodshot.
"And where is he?" Atticus demanded.
"He is in the forest, he seems to be looking for the human girl." The man bowed in fright as he stammered.
"You really know how to piss me off Dan el, you came back here empty handed? Is that human that strong?" Atticus demanded.
"No... No sir, he seems like a mortal, so I thought he was a great mage who I couldn't see through." Dan el replied with a stammer.
"Call the others, you all are level 2's, the four of you should be able to bring him to me, I need him alive." Atticus said.
"Yes sir."

Liam searched the whole forest and even resorted to shouting out Evelyn's name but to no avail.
Just then he saw four figures walk towards him, men dressed in black, their face were solemn.
Liam's instincts started acting up again and he felt a rush of adranaline rush to his brain and almost knocked him out.
Liam took a step back as he looked at the four figures.
"Is he the one?" One of the men turned towards Dan el and asked.
"Yes, he is." Dan el nodded staring at Liam.
The thers also stared at Liam, he looked mortal and they wouldn't believe he killed Kal el, even if they were bribed to believe that he was.
Because the guy looked harmless and there was nohing oozing off him to show that he was special.
Liam looked mortal, he had a weak physique and there was nothing special about him, the only thing that proved that he killed Kal el was the smell coming off his body.
His body had a strong smell of Kal el's blood and as demons they couldn't be more familiar with the smell of their own blood.
"This must be a prank right? What was Kal el doing for a mortal to tear out his heart?" One of them frowned in amazement.
"Be careful, he might be a great mage disguised as a mortal and don't forget it was claws that tore through Kal el's heart." Dan el said with caution he could see that the others had zero fear for Liam, but his mind kept telling him that Liam wasn't ordinary if not, he'd take Liam down the first time he saw him.
Liam who was staring at the men felt his heart beat drastically.
Who were these people?!
"Let's get this done immediately, Atticus is waiting." One of of them said with a yawn. He thought it was going to be difficult to capture whoever killed Kal el, because even within their ranks Kal el was ridiculously strong.
"Be careful..." Dan el was interupted halfway as the others dashed towards Liam. Dan el might not be the strongest among them but he was smart.
Liam seeing them rush towards him felt his legs go stiff, he wanted to run but his legs felt heavy.
"Bro, bro , bro, I didn't want to say anything but are you seriously gonna stand there and watch them murder you?" A child's voice sounded in Liam's mind. It's pitch sounded like a very small baby.
Liam froze as he heard the voice, Liam stared around but couldn't see anyone.
"Fuck me man, run the fuck away and stop staring, I just got sentient and I am going to die already because I spawned in a brainless human? Can't you see those kids are demons in disguise?" The voice sounded annoyed this time with Liam looking around, but because it sounded like a child it sounded kinda cute instead.
Liam however, wasn't in the mood to know who it was because, who ever it was that spoke to him was right!..... He had to run!
