Shonen listened to Romance, his expression calm and thoughtful. But as she continued, his patience began to wear thin. "Really, Romance? The great beauty of fiction and the most beautiful woman, turned into a crybaby when a no-name nobody rejected you?" His tone was incredulous, almost mocking, as he tried to comprehend how someone as revered as Romance could be so affected.
Romance's eyes flared with anger, her sorrow momentarily replaced by a fierce determination. "He is not a nobody! He defeated Action, Mystery, Adventure, and us. He even escaped from our hypnosis," she retorted, her voice rising with each word.
The memory of Alex's defiance stung deeply, and she couldn't bear the thought of being dismissed so easily.
Shonen shrugged dismissively, his nonchalance infuriating Romance further. "So what? He is still a character from an unknown story," he said, waving his hand as if to brush away her concerns.
To him, Alex was just another obstacle, not worthy of the fear and respect Romance seemed to give him.
Romance's desperation turned to determination as she realized she needed to exploit Shonen's weakness.
She knew his ego was his Achilles' heel. "If you don't go and bring him to me, all genres will think that you are scared of him," she said, her voice dripping with challenge. She watched as her words hit their mark, seeing the flicker of anger in Shonen's eyes.
Shonen's eyes darkened, and an aura of power began to emanate from him. Despite his wisdom and calculating nature, his ego was his greatest vulnerability. "Well, if it's like that, then I will show you," he declared, his voice filled with resolve.
He couldn't let his reputation be tarnished by a mere character from an unknown story.
As Shonen prepared to leave, two figures approached him from the shadows. "Well, you are not trying to go alone, are you?" one of them said, their voice a mix of amusement and concern.
Shonen turned and saw his best friends, Horror and Isekai. "Well, if it isn't my best friends," he said with a smirk, his confidence bolstered by their presence.
Isekai stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "We will come with you," he said, eager for the challenge that lay ahead.
Shonen nodded, appreciating their support. "Whatever," he replied, his tone casual but grateful.
The trio made their way to Alex's house, their footsteps echoing in the quiet streets. As they approached, they saw Plot Armor sitting in front of it, casually eating ice cream.
Plot Armor looked up and chuckled, his demeanor relaxed and unbothered. "I can't believe you guys really came for him. But there's a problem," he said, his voice calm and confident.
With a single swing of his spoon, Plot Armor sent a wave of energy that threw Horror completely out of the fictional world. The force of the attack was so sudden and powerful that Horror didn't even have time to react. Isekai, shocked, began to speak. "What did yo—"
Before Isekai could finish his sentence, Plot Armor appeared in front of him and punched him in the face, and grabbed his neck and threw him, which sending him flying out of the story. The speed and precision of the attack left Isekai no chance to defend himself.
Shonen, seizing the moment, launched a surprise attack on Plot Armor. His movements were swift and calculated, aiming to catch Plot Armor off guard. But Plot Armor dodged it effortlessly, his reflexes honed to perfection. "I am not your opponent. Alex is," he said, his voice steady and unyielding.
