Chapter 45 - Fight with the lady

The boy had never felt so good in his life.

He had searched for more than a year for this fruit, faced several powerful animals, and had several life-threatening situations.

It was the euphoric moment in his life when his dream of many days finally came true.

But never would he have imagined that the fruits of his endless pursuit were going to slip out of his hand.

Just as he was about to grab the fruits with his other hand, he saw a fair hand clutching his hand stopping it and another hand slapping a piece of paper onto the fruits.

He saw a magical scene he had never witnessed in his life where the paper tightened itself around the fruits like a nicely decorated packaged gift.

He instinctively tried to catch the packaged fruits but they flew out and went into the hands of the lady.

Facing this cruel situation, where the dream is shattering in front of his eyes, him mind went berserk.

"Awwwwww"

He roared like he had never before and pounced on her with the greatest strength that he could muster.

Whoosh

But she suddenly disappeared from the place.

Perplexed by this unknown situation, he looked around searching for that lady.

He desperately searched for her in the surrounding area.

For a moment, he even thought that he was dreaming, the fruits and 'the weak-looking animal' were both part of the nightmare.

Suddenly, a light flashed behind him and a silhouette appeared which he noticed through the shadow cast in front of him.

He turned around and threw a punch to his back.

But the punch could not connect with the silhouette only hitting on air and the shockwave continued for some distance.

The silhouette also vanished as if she was just an illusion.

This was the first time the boy was experiencing the feeling of intense anger.

But still, the boy kept his guard up despite the anger boiling within him.

He remembered the time he had to face the mysterious wolf when the attack seemed to appear out of thin air.

This time was even more bizarre as he could not even see the person attacking him properly.

His initial impression seeing her hand was that she looked like a 'small and weak animal' but the mysterious attacks she used made him wary of her.

Even when he could not find her he did not stop moving and went near a large rock planning his own attack using rock projectiles.

Eventually, he saw her silhouette on his left side.

This time he did not directly attack but picked up a large rock beside him and threw it at her.

Along with the throw, he quickly adjusted his hand and gave a quick punch which burst the rock into several pieces.

The silhouette again disappeared but the barrage of broken rock pieces revealed another body a few meters in front of his body.

This time she did not disappear but after the dust settled she appeared unscathed with an open book floating by her side.

"Tsk, lucky attack."

He did not see how she dodged the attack of broken rocks.

Finding her weakness, he immediately threw the sharp stones in front of him towards her with great speed.

She dodged a few but he continued throwing the stones even anticipating her dodging moves trying to predict her movements.

This time she did not dodge but she touched upon a page in her book muttering something within herself with only her lips moving slightly.

Suddenly, a transparent shield sprang up in front of her like a wall which stopped all the stones.

He was amazed by this magical scene in front of him.

He observed that there were no dents made from the rocks in the shield.

Seething with anger, he started the strongest attack that he had ever made since coming into this world.

"Awooo"

He roared and beat his chest like the old ape and imitated the strongest punching routine that he learned from that ape during his many fights with it.

He jumped creating a momentum of attacks from mid-air even before he reached the shield.

The shockwave of the attack reached the shield before the punch came into contact with it.

Bang Bang Bang

Though the shield easily warded off the AOE attack from the stones, the strong punches were continuously dealing great damage to it.

Creak

A small crack appeared in the shield as the continuous punches were connected with it.

The series of punches after that widened the crack with each punch.

Bam

As the final punch connected with the shield, the shield finally shattered.

This was the most powerful attack that he had learned from that old ape.

The strange thing was the piece of shards did not spread from the broken shield but the shield itself dissipated as if it was not real.

He did not rejoice for breaking her shield because he had seen her doing something when he was breaking the shield.

She said, "Now try punching this if you dare."

Whoosh

He felt a wave of heat rushing from his back with great speed but he could only move his body slightly sideways and punch backward instinctively as a reflex due to his fighting style.

But this time, what he hit was not a rock or a shield but a flame in the shape of a rock that was hurling toward him.

This was the first time he was facing such a mysterious attack.

His right hand was hit by a large fireball half his size.

"Aw…Aw...Aw…Aw"

His right fist instantly got burned with flames in it.

He tried blowing deeper into his hands, flinging his hand here and there to stop the flames.

But the fire in his hand did not go out but instead started burning more intensely.

"Aaargh"

In his fury, he punched the ground which made a big crater-like hole in it sending pieces of rocks and dust everywhere due to which the fire in his hand also went off.

As the dust started settling, he spotted the strange lady in front of him smiling slightly who was amused by this whole charade of how he put off the fire.

But her friendly-looking smile appeared to him as if she was mocking him.

He felt something as he swiftly turned his head upwards. There, he saw a large circular rock about ten times larger than him a few meters above him about to fall onto his head slowly as if gravity became slower.

He did not realize that the speed of the falling was far slower like an illusion.

He did not understand how and when this 'weak-looking animal' threw such a large rock at him.

He instinctively tried to dodge but before he could do so, the strange lady's body started exuding some unseen pressure and she opened her mouth solemnly chanting as if giving an order,

"Bind"

Suddenly, he found himself unable to move as if somebody caught his legs.

He looked below to find that the ground beneath him had turned into the shape of two large hands which clutched his legs tightly.

This bizarre attack made him go into a frenzy trying to move his body to somehow escape the grasp of the hands but he could not even shake it.

Instead, the hands were expanding steadily creeping up toward his waist and upper body.

Feeling that he could do nothing to escape, he decided to defend against this attack.

Through his repeated battles, he understood that his head was one of the crucial parts of his body and any damage to it could be fatal.

So, he instinctively raised his hands to at least defend his head.

The rock he was expecting to be hit by did not fall onto his head but vanished instead.

But suddenly, something struck the back of his neck, followed by several piercing sensations that he experienced in various parts of his body like mosquito bites, causing him to faint.

"Hehehe"

The last sound that he heard was the soft laugh of the 'weak-looking animal' who easily subdued him.

The hands that came out of the earth slowly released their grasp and moved back to the ground.

The ground beneath the boy became normal showing no sign of the creeping hands which were there a few moments ago.

A beautiful lady could be seen beside the fainted body of the boy who was grinning watching the boy with her dark eyes like an animal watching its prey.

"I thought you were some powerful bigwig reincarnated pervert of the cosmos, who would have thought that you were as weak as a chicken. Ha ha ha"

"And here, I was scaring myself for nothing."
