Among the remaining two missions, one was from the weapon refinement hall and the other one was from the beast taming hall. For the first mission, he needed to help a few disciples with their weapon refinement as a helper.
Only this much was written in the job description and it sounded simple. But the rewarded contribution point was quite high which did not match up. Li Feng was sure that there was some kind of catch associated with this mission or the reward would not be this high. So he was also very unsure about choosing this job.
So finally he was left with the last choice. This mission from the beast taming hall did not pay as well as the previous two missions but still the reward was quite decent. At least for Li Feng's current needs, it was enough. The danger associated with this mission was also mentioned clearly which was also a good thing in Li Feng's eyes.
For this mission, Li Feng needed to feed the beasts that were kept in the beast taming hall. These beasts were restrained with various array formations so they should not be able to hurt the other disciples. So feeding them was somewhat safe.
But just a few days ago, one of the arrays showed failure for some reason and three disciples were immediately killed and eaten by those rampaging beasts. Before this incident, there was no shortage of people taking this beast feeding job but now everyone was avoiding it. That was the reason why the reward for this mission was increased this much.
The beasts that were kept in the outer area were also not above the strength of a Qi gathering realm cultivator. Beasts have their own system of cultivation and the power of a beast was measured by their rank.
So basically a rank 1 beast was equivalent to an early stage Qi gathering realm cultivator and a rank 2 beast was equivalent to a mid stage Qi gathering realm cultivator. Rank 3 was equivalent to late stage but rank 4 was not equivalent to foundation establishment but was actually equivalent to a peak Qi gathering realm cultivator. Only a rank 5 spiritual beast was comparable to a foundation establishment cultivator.
Li Feng had already heard about this incident from An Zhao and he also knew that the strongest beast present in the outer sect beast taming hall was only at mid grade rank 3 or equivalent to an 8th level Qi gathering realm cultivator. So they were not dangerous for the current Li Feng. So thinking about all the choices, he decided to take this mission.
When Li Feng returned to the counter with this mission as his choice, the disciple handling the counter was surprised. He had not thought that Li Feng would have the courage to take this job after knowing what had happened just a few days ago.
Then he thought that this new disciple might not know about the incident and was most probably lured in by the high reward. So he did not think too much about it and accepted Li Feng's disciple token to register this mission to his name.
Seeing that Li Feng's disciple token was a little bit different, he was surprised at first but many disciples liked to modify their tokens and it was not a very unusual thing. If the core function of the token was intact then no one cared about how the token looked. So he again did not think too much about it and completed the registration.
Li Feng then was given a wooden token which he needed to show in the beast taming hall and then someone there would guide him for the first day. So Li Feng bowed his head to the disciples and left the mission hall. That disciple thought that this naive brat probably would not be able to stay alive for long and went back to his work.

After leaving the mission hall, Li Feng started to walk toward the beast taming hall. He thought back to how he acted in the mission hall and was satisfied with his performance. Li Feng wanted to make himself to look like a good natured and naive disciple in the eyes of others.
In future, for the sake of his revenge, Li Feng was planning to do some killings, so with this persona of his, no one would be able to suspect him. Actually in the sect, no one cared about one or two dead disciples that much but still Li Feng wanted to be extra careful.
While thinking about all that, he quickly reached the beast taming hall. The beast taming hall was one of the most powerful halls of the Blood Sea sect so there were quite a few people there. Li Feng looked around and saw a disciple who looked to be working here.
He went to that man and showed him the wooden token that was given to him by the mission hall. That man pointed toward another disciple with disinterest indicating that his duty did not include this task. Li Feng bowed to that man and thanked him before going toward that other disciple.
Very soon Rein was taken to a warehouse filled with many containers. Then he was given a list where the beasts were listed alongside what foods should be given to them and a few other things. Unlike humans who did not need to eat much after starting cultivation, beasts regularly needed to eat to maintain their powerful bodies. So giving them the proper type of food was very important.
That disciple warned Li Feng that if anything went missing from the warehouse or if the beasts were not given a proper meal, then he would be badly punished. After seeing Li Feng nodding his head with a scared look on his face, that disciple left with a satisfied expression on his face.
After that disciple left, Li Feng's scared expression immediately vanished and he started going through the list very carefully. He was only one of the many disciples who had taken to this mission, so he did not have many beasts to feed. So it should not take much time.
So after memorising the whole list after going through it just once, Li Feng got ready to finish the mission as soon as possible.
