Chapter 7 - Fall

6 days later

"Huh" Thrimphum exclaimed without realizing.

"What happened gramps?" I asked curiously.

"Nothing of importance to you but when will you leave?" He asked as if in a hurry.

"I will leave in about a hour but why did you ask?"

"I remembered I had somewhere I needed to be so I will leave now kid." Thrimphum said.

I was curious but knew better than to meddle in his business. "Alright then I'll take my leave after collecting everything I have scattered around here. Thanks for the training gramps." I smiled slightly but even I didn't know why, after all I hadn't genuinely smiled in a long time.

"For the last time, don't call me gramps. Well, you can call me your godfather if you'd like. Heh I am just kidding but you were really better then I expected, with just a week of training you became so much better in mana control. I guess this is a goodbye but I am sure we will see each other again so take care kid" He said as he smiled warmly at me like a proud father gazing at his son.

I was flabbergasted as that was the first and last time I saw him smile.

"So what are you doing here again, Eden?" Thrimphum calmly said.

"Oh you are the same old Thrimphum, aren't you?" Eden said in a lighthearted tone.

Thrimphum gazed at this woman. She was around 1.60 meters tall. She had pale white skin, brown hair and hazel eyes that complimented her hair color.

"Like I told you last time, I will not join that organization."

A smirk crept up into her face "I knew you'd say that but would you change your mind if I kindly visited the child you were training for the past week?"

He flinched at her words as tons of thoughts started rushing to his head. How did she know he was training him? How come he didn't notice her inside his own domain? but he quickly realized those thoughts were useless and put up a poker face.

"Do whatever you want. I did train him but that was just because I was bored."

She scoffed "Oh really? Than there wouldn't be a problem if I just killed him would there?"

"Enough talking. If thats all you came to tell me than I won't hear you out anymore" Thrimphum said as he turned around.

Suddenly, Thrimphums instincts urged him to turn around.

Clang

A metalic sound reverbated through the air.

"Who said I was done?" Eden said to thrimphum as their swords collided against each other.

Thrimphum never learned any basic elements but could instinctively perform basic magic until one day he couldn't. That day was the day he awakened one of the rarest affinities in the world,Blood.

"That kids blood is actually pretty sturdy." He muttered to himself.

One day when Douglas accidently cut himself Thrimphum realised how pure his blood was. It was even better than his own, so like any normal person would do he took his blood samples to do "a test" and started carrying it around in a special pouch designed by an 'old friend' of his specifically made for Blood users.

After the first collision they started exhanging blows with each other.

"HEY, OLD MAN WHY DONT YOU JUST GIVE UP AND JOIN US." Eden yelled.

"EVEN IF YOU KILL ME I WILL NEVER JOIN YOU GUYS TO RUIN THE WORLD." Thrimphum yelled back as he blocked her sword.

"Its time to get serious than, forgive me if I accidentally or intentionally kill you old man." She mocked him.

The ground started shaking and the wind blew fiercely as it seemed like the earth was roaring against Thrimphum to show him the situation was hopeless, but what Eden didn't know was the passive talent Thrimphum had,Devourer of elements.

Devourer of Elements:The 4 basic Elements affinities are ineffective against the user(Earth,Water,Wind,Fire)

Thrimphum laughed as any attack that came near him was turned into nothingness.

"EDEN,IS THIS THE BEST YOU GOT?" Thrimphum yelled while still having a smile on his face, he was enjoying this fight without a doubt.

"THRIMPHUM, COME AT ME WITH YOUR FULL STRENGTH." Eden yelled as she started smiling crazily.

Thrimphum started to make baits with his body planning to take a hit to give Eden a worse hit, but Eden saw right through his plans and stopped rushing towards him so they started looking each other in the eyes.

"Are you scared, Eden?" Thrimphum asked.

"Are you braindead, Thrimphum?" Eden replied sarcastically.

"Fine, If you are so adamant on standing still I will be the one who goes on offense now." He said before rushing towards her.

And go on offense he did. Thrimphum was actually the one leading the fight this time unlike before when they were on equal grounds.

"IT SEEMS YOUR DEFENSE ISNT AS GREAT AS YOUR OFFENSE, EDEN" Thrimphum exclaimed as he felt the adrenaline kicking in.

"UGH, YOU LITTLE-" She groaned.

Thwack!

Thrimphum threw her towards a boulder and immediately followed up with a punch that broke the boulder and sent her crashing towards the mountain.

Thrimphum started walking towards her when all of a sudden the ground beneath his feet vanished. Eden realized that if she could use the ground which he was standing on the ground would disappear creating a moment of weakness and with that she started to rush towards him while at the same time chanting something inaudible.

After that they continued exchanging blows with Thrimphum still leading the flow of the fight and Eden seemingly out of breath.

"THRIMPHUM, LETS FINISH THIS" Eden yelled wanting to finish this with one last blow.

They started to head towards each other and the result was that... Edens heart was pierced.

What was seen from the outside was that Edens heart was pierced, she fell dead on the ground while Thrimphum looked at her before collapsing himself.

This was the end. Thrimphum had come out as the victor in the battle between the two of them.
