The darkness... faded and I gently opened my eyes. Immediately a stream of pain and aches all over my body appeared, letting me remember the training I had done yesterday.
I slowly, albeit painfully got up from my bed.

"It doubled? Are you crazy system I can't do that."
Although I expected it would increase I was surprised that it was amplified this much and not by 1.2x or 1.5x
*The system decided from your previous performance that these are within your capabilities*
"You know, I am the one that benefits from the system and I am glad I have you with me."
*Thank you, host.*
"Yeah, though my body disagrees with your opinion. Have you taken my fatigue into account in your calculations? If not please try to lower the numbers even a little decrease would help."
I desperately tried to bargain with the system, knowing I could not do 200 when I struggled with 100 that much.
*No, your fatigue wasn't taken into account.*
After a bit of silence the system's robotic voice spoke once again.
*The Daily Quest has been updated, host. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and as an apology offer you one question and we'll answer it to the best of our capabilities.*
"A question... I dont have a good one right now so can I use it later?"
*Of course, you may use it whenever you'd like.*
"Please be merciful, please be merciful"
I slowly glanced at the blue, holographic screen hoping for mercy.

"It still seems really hard to do but its slightly better I guess" I muttered.
The ache in my muscles remained, reminding me of how weak I was.
Growl~
"My stomach seems to suggest that I first eat something." I lightly chuckled.

As I got closer to the Class Players cafeteria I could hear a commotion going on.
I peeked through the slightly open door and what greeted me was...
A tray. A tray thrown straight at my face.
Thankfully, the tray was made from plastic so it only hurt slightly but what bothered me was the food falling down from on top of me. My face was covered with tomato soup, mashed potatoes and green peas.
"What the hell?!" I shouted, forgetting for a moment I was a weakling inside this class.
Countless faces turned towards me and I felt my face burning, not from the heat of the food but from my embarrassment.
"Who threw that?" I asked albeit with a more calm tone.
A rather muscular guy turned towards me with a rather cocky grin, I knew this guy very well as he was the protagonists rival and one of the strongest within the academy.
He was Lucas Maxgrave, the youngest of the Maxgrave family and a prodigy that was unrivaled within his generation until he met Sauboro.
He stepped forward until he was stopped by the man, the myth, the legend himself.
Sauboro
But that name was yet to come in light. His real name, not the name he used in his adventures was...
Sam Dagon
"What do you think you are doing, Sam?" Lucas asked, annoyed.
"Stopping you from getting distracted. Your business is with me, not with anybody else."
Lucas looked at Sam with an amused face.
"And who are you to decide my business? If I wish to throw a tray at somebody I will do it. Tell me, what made you think you could stop me?"
Sam, knowing his words were true and he could not do anything to him, at least for now, clenched his fist.
"Even if I can't do anything to you yet, there will come a chance and I will repay you. Sleep with your eyes open."
After threatening Lucas, Sam decided it was time for him to go and left the cafeteria while lucas stood in his place like a statue, unmoving.
"Hahahaha, that crazy bastard. Who does he think he is." Lucas mocked.
"Enjoy your days, Dagon. Because I will make sure they wont last long." He muttered before leaving the cafeteria too.
After that commotion I took a napkin, cleaned my face, got permission to take my meal to my dorm and I went back there to take a shower, dry my clothes and eat my meal there.
The events of the cafeteria stayed in my mind as I sat in my dorm, staring at the empty tray. The tension between Lucas and Sam was almost suffocating, even as a bystander.
Even if Sam at this time isnt as strong as Lucas, he is not that weak either and the pressure they put on each other just shows how good their usage of mana was.
Especially Sams mana control was extraordinaly good. His pressure immediately disappeared after he stopped going against Lucas and it reminded me the time I met Thrimphum.
I could now understand why every guild in the novel wanted him to join their ranks even when he was just an E rank.
I finished my meal in silence, my thoughts racing.
The system's robotic voice interrupted my train of thought.
*Host, your fatigue has decreased by a bit. A light workout may work in you favour right now*
"Argh you just want me to do the daily quest, dont you?"
*Yes, the daily quest is of utmost importance for your growth considering your circumstances.*
I stood up reluctantly, rolling my shoulders and growling at the aches still present.
"Fine, fine. Let's start slowly. You know what they say, slow and steady wins the race."
I started by doing pushups. Each rep made me feel like dying. My muscles screamed in protest, but I couldn't stop now or I knew I would fail.
I collapsed onto the floor after completing the pushups, sweat dripping down my face.
"Huff- I need to continue."
I slowly stood up and left my dorm to continue the exercises in the training hall.
