Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25: SACRIFICE 4

The city of Louhia is in a peaceful mood. The sky's bright as the sun shines upon the land. Signs of good living are seen everywhere, from the tall towers to the little shops on the streets. It all looks so happy without a single show of sadness on it. However, the clouds darken rapidly. This was unusual as it was very early in the morning. The citizens seem to think that this is all just because of rain but there's no sign of water in the sky. The ground starts rattling immensely, scaring the citizens of the town.

That day, they woke up. They brushed their teeth and washed their hair. They all opened their curtains simultaneously, as if obligated to. They look at the sky as it darkens and feel the vibrating earth beneath them. They all fear for their lives and the lives of their children. Their televisions come on and they hear the voice of the man in whom they entrusted their lives; their prime minister, Minister Marnowac.
