"Did I pay you that much for you to feed me stories of your incompetence?" A female voice shouted from a room.
" I'm sorry ma'am. I waited for her in the room like you directed but she didn't show up. What were my supposed to do then?" A male voice cut through her words to question.
A slap landed on his face and the sounds of it was heard at the door.
" What you were supposed to do? Are you seriously asking me that right now? You should have gone to whatever room she was in and brought her here and raped her! That was what I paid you for! I chose you put of the others because you were the only one with an infection! I wanted you to sleep with her with no protections so she'd get a sexually transmitted immune deficiency disease! That was why I paid you all that money yet you didn't even do a good job, talkless o bedding her?!" The lady's tone was filled with contempt.
" Atleast she was bedded by someone else whether we know the person or not. And you got yourself a recording of their night. Everything still went according to your plan. You should be grateful atleast!"
" Grateful?" The female voice blurted out and began chuckling.
" I should shove a spear up your ass to show you how pissed off I am you ruined my plans! She got bedded by someone else? Was that what I paid you for? Was that what I spent a huge chunk of money paying people off to make a success? How dare you tell me to be grateful??!!"
"Suit yourself madam. If anything happens to me, you have more to loose than I. Pick your words wisely" he said and forcefully opened the door, slamming it close as he came out.
Micheal peeped to confirm if he had truly gone out of sight. Too much info dump on his ears he just admit.
He turned to face the woman. The expression on her face was slowly fading and she was looking almost defeated.
"Do you care for a cup of coffee?" He heard himself ask which was unlike him.
Chivalry was so not him but not in this case, and especially after hearing that she was the victim. She a married woman.
Though a part of his mind wanted to know what she had come to a hotel alone to do in the first place when in actual sense, she were married.
But he restrained his thought and kept to himself.
He was not going to let himself get all chatty with her.
"You don't have to worry yourself too much. My sister is not that bad of a person. She would just show the recording to our papa to discredit me and that would be all. You don't have to worry about getting entangled in it" Ahneeka said and bowed her head before him, resigning from arguing.
" I am deeply sorry for the mistake and for involving you. With what I heard, I think my drink was spiked too and everything else"
Ahneeka was tired already.
She had accused the wrong person but pm hearing the voice from the room which was unmistakenly her sisters, she couldn't contain her pain.
She had walked out of the room as well and they had seen her. It had broken her. She had for the few minutes before prayed desperately for it to be another lady's voice she had been mistaking as Cassie's, but on seeing her walk out, she lost her tongue.
"Just like that? Won't you fight her back for trying to tarnish your reputation in front of your father?" Micheal asked surprised.
Women he has known in the past we're always back biting and never wasted time fighting tooth and nail against a person they felt was heir enemy, but here this one was on the verge of having her reputation damaged and still leaving it be.
"With time, the truth would always come to light. Ahneeka Fallon never forgets. She can have her star shine now and do whatever she wants but when winter comes, Ahneeka would remember"
"Ahneeka Fallon" Micheal repeated.
" A nice name isn't it? I chose the surname myself"
" A very nice name" he added.
A rare name for a distinct girl. He thought fascinated.
She was a very different girl. Very different, very peculiar.
Her thoughts, her actions and things about her, very different.
He dragged her along with him back to the front of his hotel room before she stopped him.
She didn't want to go into the room again as she had already taken her stuff with her.
Right now she wanted to leave to a quiet place, familiar to only her and unknown to every other human.
But he was delaying her decision to.
"Why did you stop? We need to get to the bottom of this, find CCTV forages of everything, Ahneeerkha" Michael voiced, calling her name with an accent.
" It's not any business of yours and stop calling me as If we're an acquittance"
" Of course we are an acquittance" he replied.
" We're not. Nothing makes us one"
" We slept together without protection, Mrs Ahneeerkha Fallon. We should be worried. I am worried. Your sister didn't speak great words of your character. How would I know you don't have an infection?"
" Well excuse me!!???"
" You're excused but I'm not letting you go Mrs Ahneeerkha Fallon, not until we get to the root of this" he repeated firmly, gripping her hand once again.
" It's Miss Ahneeka Fallon and once again we're no acquaintance and you hold no right getting to the bottom of anything" she argued back
" Miss?"
" A divorced woman since last night" she answered and a still silence seemed to be cast over the atmosphere for a while.
She regretted letting a stranger know that much about her.
Micheal recalled some of the words she had mumbled the other night while being drunk and made heads out of it.
"He cheated?" He chirped in and Ahneeka shot him a fiery stare.
"What? It's the trend. Husband cheats on wife, wife divorces him, Marriage ends"
"I'd advice you to mind your own business, Mr.. " she hanged the question in the air.
" Michael Emmanuel" he replied.
"Whatever it is, you're too talkative for our own good. Let me go now and forget whatever happened between us"
" It's Micheal Emmanuel, not whatever it is" he protested.
" Let go off my hand"
" Just say the name and I'd yield your command. What's so bad about saying my name? I know yours. Ahneeka Fallon"
" What's so good about knowing your name? I do not want to know and neither do I want t remember it"
" You're too stubborn for your own good" he used her words on her too.
" Let go off me!!" She commanded and tried to release her hand from his grip but somehow he managed to hold it still.
She tried the second time with all her might but failed to release herself again.
"Let go off me, now"
"No I won't. You'll run away without trying to reveal what happened last night"
" Why are you trying to reveal it? It's not any business of yours to do with it"
" I care deeply about my reputation"
" And I'm one that doesn't care about mine?"
Micheal was silent for a moment.
She did have a point.
" She is my sister and I know her more than anyone. She just wants to discredit me with that before it father. He wouldn't even care about whom you are. So tell me, who's reputation would be dented if I let you do what you want to?" She continued on sensing her last word had an edge on him.
She tried freeing her hand from his grip again, hopeful he would let her go but he didn't.
"We still need to go to a hospital and get tested. We are a thing now. Atleast for the one night we spent together warming each other"
Ahneeka didn't like what she was hearing, especially him reminding her of the drunken night they had shared together which she so desperately wanted to forget.
"Your mouth reeks of alcohol. We were both drunk and it happened. It would be best for us to let go everything that happened last night and never recall it"
Micheal wanted to protest. How would he do so. This was the first time he had cummed in a woman, the first time he had bedded one. A stranger whom he didn't know.
They had to keep in touch should cases arise. What if she go pregnant for him? What if... ..
"Young Master!!!!" A voice called from behind.
